The Truth - Vindicated

The Truth, by Pauline Hanson and members of the Pauline Hanson Support Movement, was possibly the most controversial but short-lived book in Australian literary history (1). It was released in April 1997 at the launch of the Pauline Hanson's One Nation political party but was abandoned by Hanson within weeks, after advice from her two advisors, David Oldfield and David Ettridge (2).
For a short time both Hanson and the two Davids had defended the book, which elaborated in a more scholarly fashion, upon the remarks that she herself had made in her speeches, and included the controversial comments about Aboriginal cannibalism (3).

Unfortunately, the following storm soon blew away such support and many widely-held but rarely expressed opinions were once more too hot to handle. However, one should not be too hard on Pauline; like many people under attack, the leadership team judged that a tactical withdrawal was advisable. Such was the price of having a female saviour rather than a stronger but less photogenic old warhorse, such as Graeme Campbell (4) to lead Australia back to democracy. Sadly, today, it's a girl's world in the competition for media attention.

The anger of the media was unprecedented. The book was savagely attacked in both the print and electronic media and satirised in TV comedy shows. There were calls for the book to be condemned by the Prime Minister and even banned, with Bob Hawke in tears again and Malcolm Fraser losing his literary pants once more (5). Subsequently, the book was targeted in a series of hastily commissioned, academically styled works, dealing with One Nation, Pauline Hanson and the phenomenon of 'Hansonism' (6).

In pursuit of balance, the following tract argues that 'Pauline Hanson: The Truth' opened up a debate previously embargoed by political correctness. (Some say, "opened a Pandora's Box").

Since first publication, the major themes aired in the book have been both confirmed and supported by fair-minded observers of the Australian condition and many of Pauline's original comments vindicated - not least ATSIC and the Aboriginal welfare gravy train.
A brief study of the critics and the criticisms leveled at Pauline Hanson and the 'The Truth' since then, has revealed a worrying pattern. It tells us more about Australia's traitors in the power-elite than the heretic on the loose. Neither Pauline's appearance on the political stage nor her book were welcomed by the established power elite. They were unhappy at her voicing the concerns of ordinary people: worried at her apparent popularity and 'The Truth' was too well-written and cogent to be easily dismissed.

There was intense interest and neutral media coverage of Pauline initially, which appeared to turn when the phenomenon started looking dangerous for the two major parties. Coverage then turned totally negative, including torrents of abuse from the mainstream media. The print media especially, are noted for 'hunting her like a pack of hyenas'. The 'word' went out, presumably from Canberra, whereupon nearly all news and current affairs reporters adopted a 'Pauline baiting' stance, trying to catch her out, etc. This prompts the question, does the power-elite control all of our media.

Finally, the media bosses understood, or were told, the extreme hostility was in fact generating sympathy for her. Thereafter, total media silence was the plan adopted to stifle the rise of a new democratic nationalist party.

Criticism of 'The Truth' Examined.
First, there was the abuse without any substantial rational critique of the book, especially the chant of 'racism', as if one silly word can settle the debate. Petro Georgiou MHR, born in Greece, made a speech falling into that category (7).
Likewise Gerard Henderson condemned the book for its 'racism', "The Truth is sick" he said and, "…a vicious and paranoid tract"- descriptions which perhaps better described the Asianist propaganda of the critics (8).
For Phillip Adams, that quintessential Vaucluse doctor's wife, The Truth was a declaration of war (9).
Wellington Lee, who has been promoted as the face of integrated Asian Australia and was at the time President of the Australian Chinese Association, said that if Hanson & Co. were given enough rope, they would hang themselves (10).
Then there was the totally predictable 'Nazi / Holocaust' knee jerk response. Tom Keneally said that One Nation's policy line would lead to Auschwitz. David Penberthy agreed.

The book contained embarrassing criticisms of foreign investment and globalisation (11). The reported contents of The Truth were condemned by the Executive Council of Australian Jewry in a press release of April 24th 1977 ('reported', ie they hadn't read the book - the ultimate racial hair-trigger!)
Brisbane Jewish community leader Lawrence Rosenblum, at a rally in Hanson's town of Ipswich, compared One Nation with Hitler and The Truth to Mein Kampf. He compared the claims of Aboriginal cannibalism to the dreaded blood libel against the Jews (12).
Rabbi Richard Lampert did the same in a rambling letter published in The Australian (13). News of the publication of the book broke over the eve of the Jewish Passover Festival of Pasach. Lampert tried to develop a blood libel argument based on historical precedent. (When Pesach and Easter coincided, Jews were accused by Christians of using the blood of Christian children in Matzah (bread).
Seemingly what he suggested was that the time of publication constituted a symbolic allusion to the blood libel, even though Jews are only mentioned favorably in the book. Never-mind the details, the Rabbi`s concern was with the coincidence of Pesach and Easter. In 1997 Pesach was about a month after Easter, so his entire argument collapses.

It is clearly absurd to compare the topic of Aboriginal cannibalism to the blood libel against the Jews but the strategy was no doubt employed to generate fear in the Jewish community. The irony here is quite piquant because Pauline Hanson had always been pro-Jewish and had a half Jewish first husband.
There is nothing anti-semitic in The Truth, nevertheless The Australian Jewish News (02-05-97) pushed the common theme of Hitler reincarnate: e.g., "The Protocols of the Elders of Hanson". David Bernstein said of The Truth, "Behind the pseudo-academic style and the superficial sophistication, there lurks an intelligent but fevered, twisted and clearly paranoid mind-set". That statement, declaimed, with emphasis added to "lurks", "fevered", "twisted" and "paranoid", is pure stand-up comedy. The Australian Jewish News writer, B.Freedman, was also concerned about One Nation's 'Easy Tax' scheme (14). An interesting collection of articles traces the Jewish elites crusade against One Nation (15).

At this point it is beneficial to reflect on the Howard Government's actions to date (Dec 2004):
· The abolition of ATSIC for corruption and incompetence.
· The criminal court proceedings against leading members of ATSIC.
· Mutual obligation introduced to settlement Aborigines.
· No more 'sit down money' and
· Mandated improved personal hygiene, especially children..
These simple improvements to the Aboriginal lot are pure 'Hansonism' but why have there been no screams of fury and outrage from the Jewish lobby, Henderson, Adams, et al?
· Further moves towards a tough-love regime for Aboriginal youth have been signaled and were well supported by some celebrity (educated) Aboriginal advocates.

Stan Willis, President of the Business Council of Australia, in addressing the Australia-Israel Chamber of Commerce warned that One Nation could damage foreign investment . "Hansonism threatens business and competition" (16)
"Globalisation is not optional" said Don Argus of the National Australia Bank on 17th June 1998." "We have no real choice in whether we want to be part of this process or not." (17)
Such a "lunar" view, which tosses democracy out of the window, is essentially a form of economic Fascism. One Nation opposed this line and as a counter, revived the idea of national credit and the elimination of public borrowing. Although this idea was once ALP policy in the South Australian Branch (18), this suggestion met with as much scorn as any claim made in The Truth.
Here was a direct threat to the wealthy power elite and the international banking and investment cartels (19). Pressure was put on the Liberal Party to put One Nation last on its Federal how-to-vote cards by the powerful Australia-Israel and Jewish Affairs Council. The Directors include Frank Lowe, Lew Soloman and Gary Weiss, who wrote to John Howard.

John Howard also received a letter of instructions from the Ethnic Coalition of Australia, representing Italian, Greek, Chinese, Vietnamese and Jewish organisations (20). These powerful groups were galvanized into action by One Nation's 23% vote triumph in the June'98 Queensland election. Colin Rubenstein and Mark Leibler wrote to John Howard on June 5-98 and bingo! A change of policy!
Instead of upholding the right of Liberal Party State divisions to decide preferences, Head Office now agreed to what the ethnic elites wanted. This decree from Central Office added insult to the injury of denying Liberal Party membership to gun owners wishing to join in order to influence gun policy by constitutional means. It added one more nail in the coffin of Australian Liberal Party democracy.

Back to 'The Truth'
The keynote attack on the book in the print media was made in The Australian by John Docker and Robert Manne. John Docker took the scholarly high road (21). He was upset by the images of disease used to describe 'the new class' and was puzzled why the alleged academic authors wanted to remain anonymous when so many people wanted to applaud their work, possibly employ them or protect their security.
The paragraphs concerning the rape of young Anglo-Australian women, were dismissed by Docker as paranoia, comparing the comments to the Victorian dystopian novels such as Ignatius Donnelly's, Caesar's Column (1889), which expressed a fear of the 'yellow peril'.
Mr Docker has since been forced to eat his words when the horrifying stories of the Sydney Lebanese gang rapes disgusted decent Australians.

The works of academics like Messrs. Docker and Manne attempt to enforce a guilt complex upon us all. Since the end of World War II, white races are to be continually accused of racist treatment of all other races, black, brown or yellow and our racism led to the Holocaust. As atonement for our sins, we must say "Sorry, sorry, a million times" and absolve our guilt by opening our countries to untold hordes of third world 'carpet baggers' and miscegenation.
This seems to be the subtext of Webb and Enstice`s, Aliens and Savages (22) which develops the Docker line. The Truth is compared to William Lane`s White or Yellow (1888) which depicted Australia as sold out to the moneyed and powerful. Lane foresaw the doctrine of Asianisation and the banning of public ownership of firearms. The reviewers then venture that, "Lane`s book is a…chilling foretaste of the Nazi propaganda which justified extermination of the Jews" (23).
The comparison of a sparsely populated white nation threatened by an overpopulated Asia and that of the Jews in Nazi Germany, is apt. However, it is white Australia, which is in the oppressed position.
The rhetorical trick though, is to link 'National Socialism' and 'Australian Nationalism' in the mind of the unwary reader, so that the appropriate Pavlovian response occurs (24). Australia's leading Jewish academic Robert Manne was deeply disturbed by The Truth. He wondered what, "a really bad right-winger" would write and has found his worst nightmares realised in this work of "pure political paranoia" (25).

Thus it is "paranoia" to believe that traditional Australia is under attack by the new class elites. The very idea that Australia could lose her sovereignty and become a dumping ground for Asia's surplus population is, "the most vicious example of anti-Asian racism I have ever seen in print in Australia".
Now that is totally absurd, because there are shelves full of work of the elites advocating 'Asianisation', hybridisation and open borders. How is rejection of this fate 'racist' - unless any attempt by Anglo-Australians to preserve their tribe and heritage is by definition racist?
This is obviously Manne's starting point. He also ridicules statements that girls, as young as 14, sell sex to buy drugs from Asian gangs. He scoffs at the idea of gangs of black rapists targeting Anglo-Nordic blonde girls even though all this is gleaned from reports published in the Murdoch press (26).

This issue was raised again in The Adelaide Advertiser on 19-10-98 and again in The Australian 18-11-2003 (28) with the rape aspect toned down. However, as Manne claimed in his debate with Michael Duffy (29), who rightly did not see The Truth as racist, the mere claim that Asians are sexually exploiting Australian girls is racist.
Well, if you take that line, many newspaper articles were also racist and Rupert's editors should all appear before a HREOC tribunal (30). There is no comment in Manne's PC works about the popular magazines read by Japanese males, depicting the rape, torture and abuse of European women. Another one for the 'doesn't exist' tray too because only whites are racists!

Many academic scribblers were critical of The Truth's reference to a sex trade in blonde Anglo-Nordic women. The book quoted from an article in The Sunday Mail in which the mother of a missing blonde girl said, "Several blonde girls have disappeared from around the country in the past three years. They were all blonde, blue eyed, young and pretty and they all just vanished off the face of the earth"(31).
Stratton in Race Daze cites this passage and then goes off on a frolic of his own about 'hybridity' and interracial sexual unions (32). Lost in social constructionism, he does not consider that basic question, whether or not a race-based crime has been committed.Likewise, Richard Hall in Black Armband Days is appalled at the suggestion that people of colour may be kidnapping Nordic women (33). The very suggestion is just "racist".

It is ironic to reconsider this material in the light of the Lebanese gang rapes of Anglo-Australian girls, which occurred in 2001. The rape of Nordic women by coloured gangs is common in the multicultural West. In France, gangs of North African youths had been raping French girls for some time (34). Anti-racism and white guilt produced a code of silence, which was broken only by the movie 'La Squale' about these racial gang rapes. Many Muslim communities in Paris suburbs are no-go areas for police. Middle Eastern males make up half of the 90,000 inmates in French prisons. Likewise in Australia in the trial of the Lebanese rape gangs, the prosecution had censored the victim impact statements to remove references to the racial aspect of the crime. Some of the predators were as young as 13, and some of the victims 14.
Eighteen men and youths were charged with 380 offences against 11 women with 8 separate gang rapes. The blonde "sluts" were also bashed. "I'm going to f..k you, Leb style" one rapist said. Victims were told: "You deserve it, because you're Australian (35). One girl was raped 25 times by 14 men (36). One 16 year old victim was staked to the ground and raped by a dozen men.
Some criminals were given severe sentences, others were not. However the media failed to report on the Lebanese gang rapes at the time because of fears of causing 'racism' (37). After all, Islamic Sheik Taj el-dih Hilaly said that the sexual attacks reflected the failure of Australian, not Lebanese culture.
Premier Bob Carr rejected this. Unity Party MP Peter Wong said that, "In doing this Carr has created a wave of mutual hatred which has never been seen before in NSW" (38).

Does it matter if Anglo-Australian girls are gang raped if it's the Australian culture's fault? In 2001, then Police Commissioner Peter Ryan said, "…about 50 Caucasian women had been raped by gangs in and around Bankstown in the past 18 months" (39). Some of the rapists were given lenient sentences. Two brothers, aged 19 and 16 received sentences of 6 years and 5 years 7 months respectively in the NSW District Court. They will be eligible for parole in 4 years and 3 years respectively.
Judge Megan Lathan stated that the rapes were motivated by a pack mentality, not ethnicity. After saying this, one of the wolves turned to his 'pack' and gave the thumbs up sign. Both Premier Bob Carr and police Minister Paul Whellan thought that the victims were let down by the Judicial system.
The perpetrators should all get 10 years and then be sent back to their own country. We do not want these animals here. One of the animals who helped to hold down one girl received a sentence of only 18 months and will only serve about two weeks in prison (39). One young perpetrator claimed that he was, "…not familiar with the laws of Australia and he was unaware that his behavior towards the victim was criminal" (40). One more benefit of the ethnic diversity in our exciting multicultural Australia. There was some evidence tendered by local students that Anglo-Nordic White women were targeted (41).

Word on the street has it that the authorities only really started treating this matter as a racial one when the Lebanese were threatened by retaliation rapes. Hence the curfews that were placed on Lebanese girls. Ethnic community leaders responded by wanting to break down a perceived link in the public mind between ethnicity and crime by ending racial typing in police descriptions. Like "…of Middle Eastern appearance" (42). Again this shows contempt for the victims and is a clear admission on the part of the relevant authority, "Mixed races cause friction in the community. Multiculturalism does not work and we are doing our best to cover it up"
If a racial group is raping, the racial aspect is relevant. That is the point of having an aggravated component to various criminal offences (43).

This situation confirms the view expressed in The Truth that Anglo-Australia is under threat while our PC legal system plays the ostrich (44). Worse still, the Anti-Discrimination Board produced a publicly funded document called. 'The Race for Headlines' which attacked the few media reports which accurately described the gang rapes as racially motivated.
Retired detective Tim Priest has said, "Middle Eastern crime, will have an impact on society unlike anything we have ever seen" (45). Whether Priest intended to or not, his article about the difficulties of dealing with Lebanese law breakers, who use multiculturalism and ethnic diversity as a weapon in their criminality, is an eye opener.

Even more concerning is how, under Peter Ryan's stewardship, effective policing of ethnic crime gangs virtually disappeared. Priest describes the inefficient intelligence gathering as a "disgrace". Violent Lebanese groups were able to dominate the police and take over all of Sydney except Cabramatta "where their fear of the South-East Asian crime groups limited their forays." (46) Lebanese gangs are now moving into the Gold Coast, muscling-in on the ecstasy trade that has been held by Asian crime gangs.(47) But some young Lebanese gang members simply bashed people "for pleasure."(48) Priest describes in detail how political correctness allowed Lebanese gangs to abuse and intimidate police and rule the streets of Sydney. Soon, the Gold Coast, and then what? (49)

Organised Ethnic Crime and the Wall of Silence
For extreme multiculturalists such as Cope, Castles and Kalantzis, multiculturalism and immigration are not a problem to social cohesion: the main threat is Anglo-racism from anti-immigration groups (50). Nor is crime of much concern to these starry-eyed academic types. The Truth came under heavy attack for its discussion of Asian organized crime in Australia. The counter was that ethnic groups make other contributions to society. Nobody has said that they didn't. This still does not magically justify the disproportionate arrest and imprisonment rate of many ethnic groups. (51)

Asians and the Vietnamese in particular have been said to have the lowest imprisonment rate. However there is evidence that crime statistics about Vietnamese crime has been suppressed.(52) The murder rate among Vietnamese is the highest of any ethnic group.(53) Further, there is a well known culture of silence surrounding Asian crime: one simply does not speak to the police.(54) This is largely responsible for low conviction rates in violent crime.
Chinese students are increasingly becoming involved. Chinese criminal gangs are targeting student visa holders as recruits.(55) Chinese organized crime now controls the bulk of Australia's heroin imports.(56) A leaked national intelligence assessment has claimed that law enforcement authorities in Australia will be overwhelmed by Chinese and Asian organized crime.(57) The typical response to these Asian crime statistics by the new class elites is that criminality in the Asian community is just a passing thing. Some even claim that it is a product of Anglo-racism.
Asian organized crime is virtually endless and is a product of the deep level corruption in Asian societies. Anyone who has lived in Asia knows that bribes, kick-backs and corruption are the way that business is done. Australia's left-wing scribblers never comment on this obvious fact of Asian life because it destroys in one hit, their illusion of the law-abiding Asian-super-citizen.(58)

Guns, Glorious Guns
Australians citizens used to own guns. Then to protect the community John Howard implemented a gun grab that effectively disarmed law-abiding Australians. The excuse was, "To limit firearm related homicides". Law abiding citizens turned in their guns, but the criminals did not.(60) National gun bans were spurred on by a convenient university killing spree by 36-year old Asian Huan Yun Xiang. However, Australia is now awash with a black market of illegal guns, including fully automatic weapons.

Twelve months after the Australia-wide gun ban, homicides were up 3.2 per cent, assaults up 8.6 per cent and armed robberies up by 44 per cent. In Victoria, homicides with firearms were up 300 per cent. (59) For the 28 years prior to the 1996 gun ban, there had been a trend in Victoria of a steady decrease in homicides with firearms as well as a decrease in armed robberies. In the UK, which also has gone down the gun-ban path, crime has risen. All 50 American states have a lower crime rate than the United Kingdom.
Robbery, sex crimes and violence against the person are higher in England and Wales than the USA and property crime is twice as high. The reader may be tempted to think that members of our ruling elite drove the firearm collection because they were feeling a little insecure or the financiers of the world wanted to ensure no armed rebellions could occur.
The success of the current insurgency in Iraq must surely cause national defence experts to reconsider the wisdom of disarming the Australian population. No regular Army could ever defend Australia as effectively as determined patriots familiar with and well supplied with small arms.

The Cannibals
The Truth received some notoriety for its discussion of Aboriginal cannibalism. It used some early biographic source material, such as from Daisy Bates and it quoted from some politically correct sources such as Eric Rolls Sojourners. Mr.Rolls was annoyed at the association with The Truth and threatened legal action if the quotation from his book was not removed.
The quotation would clearly have fallen under the 'fair dealing' condition of the Copyright Act, but this was the excuse the two David's needed to drop the book. Other critics dismissed claims that North Queensland Aborigines ate Chinese. Webb and Enstice said that the murders of Chinese were done by whites who thrust spears into the bullet wounds to make it look like the Aborigines killed them! (62)
The multicultural mind is truly devious and inventive: it can always find a way to say: Whitey is guilty. Other critics drew on Aren`s work in discrediting Aboriginal cannibalism. (63) Henry Reynold`s said there was no evidence that Aborigines were cannibals.(64)

Today's archeologists have rediscovered cannibals.(65) Protein analysis has revealed that cannibalism practices among primitive man were quite common. It seems that at some point in time, we all ate each other. Nevertheless the Public and Private School Teachers in NSW issued a joint statement comparing the cannibalism claim to fascist propaganda against the Jews in Europe in the 1930s.(66) (They probably meant 'Nazi' because Italian fascists were not anti-Semitic).
Perhaps these Pinkos should condemn the Asian Dr Yadong Li, who supports the cannibalism topic in The Truth. He reports that, "Cape York Peninsula Aborigines were rumoured by Whites, Blacks and Chinese to have found the Chinese migrants 'tasty' to eat, more delicate and less salty than the flesh of whites. (67)

Recently Tim Flannery, Director of the South Australian Museum, in his Beautiful Lies, the Quarterly Essay, admitted that the Aboriginal cannibalism debate had troubled him because he knew that cannibalism had occurred as a funeral rite.(68) Parts of enemies killed in battle were also eaten. But nobody wanted to say this: "…those on the liberal left as well as those on the right were willing to sacrifice that truth for contingency". (69) He says that he saw academics interviewed who denied that Aboriginal cannibalism occurred, even though they must have known of its evidence.

Society owes a debt of gratitude to genuine seekers of the truth who are prepared to expose the unpalatable realities. Other academics who lie for convenience should be ejected from their taxpayer funded ivory towers. Nobody really cares today if long forgotten generations of Aboriginees ate each occasionally. The reason for including the 'cannibalism' section in The Truth was to challenge the politically correct mind-set that sees Aboriginal people in mystical terms as somehow immune from the sins of other races and above criticism. If Anglo-Australians can be criticized as an ethno-racial group, then so can anyone else.
It seems that The Truth did succeed in breaking the conspiracy of silence on this aspect of Aboriginal history.

Conclusion
Pauline Hanson's tilt at the windmills of Australian politics was soundly supported by the book and a considerable cross-section of the general public. Her persecution, funded by conspiring politicians, prosecution and imprisonment on a trumped-up charge, must be a matter of lasting shame to the Queensland judiciary. There can be no better testimony to the sickness that has the power elite of this country in its grip. It can quite easily be called Fascism!
True democracy was never a part of the Australian political landscape and never likely to be without bloodshed. The US hegemony and US inspired multinational corporations will use their vast power and resources to block any rise of Nationalism in client states like Australia because Nationalism is seen as providing resistance to their gradual takeover of our natural resources, industries, utilities and infrastructure.

Pauline Hanson and The Truth were attacked from both the left and the right. In addition to Canberra's attempts at the behest of the MNC's international financiers in Manhattan, informal groups from the Left-wing of the ALP were organized to break up Pauline's One Nation meetings of supporters and people exercising their constitutional right to hear her speak.
Keith Warburton, a pensioner who went to a One Nation meeting to hear Hanson speak at the Dandenong Town Hall in July 1997, was bashed unconscious by 'anti-racists' (71). Shortly after that meeting, in September 1997, Foreign Affairs Minister Downer said that the Government had done every thing it could to counter Hanson short of putting her in front of a firing squad. Hanson, who was under protection at the time, rightly interpreted this as endangering her life (72).

The subtext to this is, that in the end, our Fascist State of Australia will use violence to defend the two party dictatorship. Hansonism's threatened rise required a disclaimer from Canberra. Big business was assured that Nationalism shall never become official policy (74). Although China has an appalling human rights record, including the genocide in Tibet, Beijing expressed concern about Hanson (75). The Hong Kong Standard in an editorial, urged Howard to condemn Hanson (76). Japan offered to work with Canberra to counter One Nation (77).
Japan has a severely selective immigration regime, yet Japan expressed a fear of a return of the White Australia policy (78). Considering the double standard that these nations apply, their own extreme racism and nationalism and their scorn of Anglo-Australian traditions and lifestyle, it is abundantly clear that it has been a major mistake for the white man, his brain rotted with liberal capitalism and naïve cosmopolitan idealism, to have aided the development of such racist Asian nations, which 'refuse to accept us' unless the white European population of Australia accepts racial annihilation. 'The Truth' claimed that Australia had been sold out by the business and intellectual elites. There is no reason to re-evaluate the situation now that there is no Messiah on the horizon. Thinking citizens, who hope that the power-elite with their snouts in the trough and their hands on the levers of power, would be willing to divest themselves of some of the control, are probably doomed to die in despair.

'The Truth' has withstood the test of time. Adding some of the references from this essay could easily update the book but even without them, The Truth is worth a re-read and even a new print run. Signed: G. J. Merritt, Adelaide December 30, 2005.

3) Hanson`s speeches in Part 1 of the book contained all the concerns addressed in the controversial second part. John Pasquarelli, Hanson's former advisor, has claimed in his book, 'The Pauline Hanson Story by the Man Who Knows', that he warned Pauline about the book. Pasquarelli was dismissed in December 1996 while The Truth' was written in February/March 1997. I dispute Pasquarelli`s claim. Marian Wilkinson, 'Battle for Hanson`s Heart and Mind' The Age 12-09-98 p45 claims that Hanson did not read the book. Pauline did look through it and suggested the title The Truth over the original 'Pauline Hanson Replies'. She also sent the authors a personal letter with suggestions. Oldfield and Ettridge approved the book. In fact Oldfield used the cannibalism argument later himself.
4) In an interview on Newcastle radio station 2HD Hanson said shortly after 'The Truth' controversy in 1997, that she opposed massive immigration only on environmental grounds. If Pasquarelli`s account can be trusted, Hanson apparently added in her own handwriting to a copy of her maiden speech: "I wouldn't mind if there were more Asians in Australia than Anglo-European Australians as long as they [the Asians] spoke English". THE RACE RIOTS AND MIDDLE EASTERN CRIME

According to much of the outpourings of multiculturalists, multiracialists and professional ethnics in the media, the Sydney race riots are the fault of "racist" Aussies (Anglos) picking on the innocent Lebanese. Innocent? Lebanese?

The Rape of Anglo Australia:
Let us think back to the Lebanese gang rapes of Anglo-Australian girls which occurred in 2001. The rape of White women by coloured gangs is common in the multicultural West; in France gangs of North African youths had been raping White French girls for some time. It had become a form of tribal sport. Anti-racism and "White guilt" produced a code of silence which was only broken by the release of the movie La Squale which exposed the racial nature of these gang rapes. Many Muslim communities are no-go areas in Paris for the police. Middle Eastern males make up about half of the inmates in French prisons.

Likewise, in Australia, the prosecution had censored the victim impact statements to remove references to the racial aspect of the crimes. Some of the predators were as young as 13, and some victims, 14. Eighteen men and youths were charged with 380 offences against 11 women, with 8 separate gang rapes. Victims were told: "You deserve it, because you are Australian." (The Australian 17/7/2002, p.11).
One girl was raped 25 times by 14 men (The Australian 12/7/2002, p.4). One 16-year-old victim was staked to the ground and raped by a dozen men. Some criminals were given severe sentences, but some were not. However the media failed to report on the Lebanese gang rapes at the time because of fears of causing "racism"! (The Australian, 3-4/10/2002, p.7). After all, as Islamist Sheik Taj el-Dih Hilaly said, the sexual attacks reflected the failure of Australian, not Lebanese culture!

The Premier of NSW at the time, Bob Carr, rejected the shrieking Sheik's claim. But Unity Party MP Peter Wong leapt to the defence and said that in doing this Carr had "created a wave of mutual hatred which has never bees seen before in NSW." (The Australian, 22/8/2001, p.5).
Of course, Mr. Wong - so wrong - what does it matter if Anglo-Australian girls are gang raped and brutalised - after all, it's Australian culture which is at fault! In 2001, then Police Commissioner Peter Ryan said that about 50 Caucasian (White) women had been raped by Lebanese gang men in and around Bankstown in the past 18 months. (The Australian, 24/8/2001, p.3).

Some of the rapists were given very lenient sentences. Two Lebanese brothers aged 19 and 16 years received sentences of 6 years and 5 years 7 months respectively in the NSW District Court, with parole eligibility in 4 years and 3 years respectively. In other words, you can bet your tabauli that they are now out.
Judge Megan Latham said that the rapes were motivated by a "pack mentality" not ethnicity or race. After she said this, one of the wolves turned to his "pack" and gave the thumbs up sign. Both Carr and Police Minister Paul Whellan thought that the victims were let down by the judicial system. One wolf who helped to hold down a girl received an 18-month sentence and would have been technically eligible for parole in less than two weeks. (The Australian 24/8/2001, p.3).
Of course if it was gangs of Anglo-Australian men raping Muslim women, race-hate-vilification would have oozed from the case and every professional ethnic would have done their little song and dance routine. Instead the youths were seen by our academic scribblers as "victims" of racism. One youth said that he was "not familiar with the laws of Australia and he was unaware that his behaviour towards the victim was criminal." (The Australian, 24/8/2001, p.3). So bashings and raping women was not known to be criminal? Ah! - the joys of ethnic diversity in our exciting, pulsating, throbbing, multicultural society!

There is evidence, supplied by local students, that Anglo women were specifically targeted (The Australian, 24/8/ 2001, p.3). Word on the street was that the authorities only really started treating this matter as a racial one when the Lebanese were threatened by retaliation rapes. Hence the curfews that occurred on Lebanese girls. Ethnic community leaders responded by wanting to break down a perceived link in the public mind between ethnicity/race and crime by ending racial typing by police, i.e., "of Middle Eastern appearance." (The Australian, 24/8/2001, p.3). Again, this shows contempt for the victims. If a racial-ethnic group is raping, the racial aspect is relevant: that is the point of having an aggregated component with respect to race to various criminal offences. (The Australian, 3/9/2001, p.13).
I can thus make no sense of "Sharmaa's" letter to The Australian, 17-18/12/2005, p.16, beyond seeing the comments as lacking in insight into the reality discussed above: "Aussie ladies, don't delude yourselves: Middle Eastern men are not lusting after you, they have beautiful women of their own. Try to respect Middle Eastern men rather than abuse them the minute they cough or so much as blink; try to actually speak to them without calling them wogs; try to get over your superiority and the behavioural problem on the beach will disappear in a puff of smoke."
Tell that to the bashed surf lifesavers or the raped Australian women. These "behavioural problems" are not the result of a "superiority" complex, at least by Anglo-Australians. No people on earth have ever put up with so much in such a short space of time. Would Lebanon accept "Asianisation" and the change in its demographic composition without so much as a whimper? Clearly it hasn't.

Multiculturalism is a doctrine incompatible with the group survival of Anglo-Australians. Thus, the Anti-Discrimination Board produced a publicly funded document called "The Race for Headlines" which attacked the few media reports which accurately described the gang rapes as racially motivated. Conservative columnist Janet Albrechtson said at the time ("Ignoring the Race Factor Doesn't Help," The Australian, 3/8/2001, p.13) that there was indeed plenty of evidence of a racial component to the crimes but plea bargaining prevented the Court accessing it.
I am not convinced: across the West, when Whites commit crimes against coloureds, Courts effortlessly find a racial motive, plea bargaining or not.

Middle Eastern Crime:
Middle Eastern crime, as retired detective Tim Priest has said "will have an impact on society unlike anything we have seen" ("The Rise of Middle Eastern Crime in Australia," Quadrant, January-February 2004, pp.9-16 at p.9). Priest's article about the difficulties of dealing with Lebanese law breakers, who use multiculturalism and diversity as a weapon in their criminality, is an eye-opener and deserves to be reprinted.
Priest documents how under Police Commissioner Peter Ryan, effective policing of ethnic gangs virtually disappeared. He describes the inefficient intelligence gathering as a "disgrace". Violent Lebanese groups were able to dominate the police and take over all of Sydney except Cabramatta "where their fear of South-East Asian crime groups limited their forays" (p.11).
Lebanese gangs are now moving into the Gold Coast, muscling-in on the ecstasy trade that has been held by Asian crime gangs (The Australian, 10/12/2003, p.3). But some young Lebanese gang members simply bashed people "for pleasure".
Priest says in his article that young Australian males are bashed by Lebanese males "for no other reason than that they are 'Skips,' as they call Australians" (p.13). Violent attacks happened "simply because they are Australians" (p.13). Priest also said: "There is a clear and definite link between violent attacks on our young men and women being racial as well as criminal" (p.13).

Priest says: "My prediction is that within ten years, Middle Eastern crime gangs will spread rapidly across Australia as they seek to expand their enterprises. There will be no-go areas in south-western Sydney, just like Paris" (p.15). There already is. Political correctness has allowed Lebanese gangs to abuse and intimidate police and rule the streets of Sydney.

Multiculturalism and Crime:
For multiculturalists such as the team of B. Cope, S. Castles and M. Kalantzis (see their "Immigration, Ethnic Conflicts and Social Cohesion ,"(1991), multiculturalism and immigration are not problems for social cohesion: the main threats are Anglo-racists from anti-immigration groups. Ethnic crime is not of much concern to the starry-eyed academic types. If leftist academics even admit the existence of organised crime, its significance is diminished because they counter that ethnic groups make other contributions to society. Nobody said that they didn't. This still does not magically annul the fact that many ethnic groups have a disproportionate arrest and imprison rate (see S. Mukherjee, "Ethnicity and Crime," (Australian Institute of Criminology, Canberra, 1999). For example, migrants are more likely than Australian-born people to kill their partners. About one half of all violent crimes/killings against, or of, close relatives are by overseas born males ("More Migrant Marital Killers," The Advertiser, 5/5/1993).

It has been said that Asians and the Vietnamese in particular have the lowest imprisonment rates, and thus are generally lawful people. "Racial realists" such as J.P. Rushton make much of this. However, there is evidence that crime statistics about Vietnamese crime have been suppressed (see: B. Hills, "Vietnamese Crime: The Facts Officials Suppressed," The Sydney Morning Herald, 2/5/1990, pp.1, 15). The murder rate among Vietnamese is the highest of any ethnic group (see P. Fasteal, "Ethnicity and Crime," in D. Chappell and P. Wilson (eds.) The Australian Criminal Justice System (1994).
Low Asian conviction rates are mainly due to the well-known culture of silence surrounding Asian crime: one simply does not speak to the police. Nevertheless, Asian crime is a reality. Chinese students, for example, are increasingly becoming involved in violent crime. Chinese crime gangs are targeting student visa holders as recruits (The Australian, 16/7/2003, p.3). Chinese organised crime now controls the bulk of Australia's heroin imports (The Bulletin, 8/4/1997, pp.18-19; Sydney Morning Herald, 27/10/1997, p.1). A leaked national intelligence assessment has claimed that law enforcement authorities in Australia will be overwhelmed by Chinese and Asian organised crime (Sunday Herald Sun, 28/11/1993; The Sydney Morning Herald, 1/2/1999, p.6). The Asian and Lebanese gangs may battle it out for supremacy, or they may join forces as the Italian Mafia and Asian groups have done in the United States.

Conclusion:
The Sydney riots need to be viewed against the background of Lebanese crime. Discontent with multiculturalism in Australia needs to be examined in the context of ethnic crime. Here I have attempted a review to give the reader some understanding of the fate of multicultural societies.
Such societies do not work and eventually fall apart. We are witnessing the beginning of the end of the multicultural experiment, but: will Australia survive or will it break apart into separate warring ethnic nations/tribal groups? Maybe that last scenario is already with us.
