JEWISH INTELLECTUAL SUPREMACISM: A REFUTATION

But whether this inferiority of the Jew is real or only a delusion, it must be manifest that it is generally accepted. The Goy does not, in fact, believe that the Jew is better than the non-Jew; the most he will admit is that the Jew is smarter at achieving worldly success. But this he ascribes to sharp practices, not to superior abilities."

1. Jewish Intellectual Supremacy?

Unless you have been living on planet Pluto, you should be aware of the fact that today Jews are boasting about their intellectual (and sometimes) financial achievements. Superior Jewish intelligence is celebrated in many publications. [4] Ernest van den Haag in The Jewish Mystique [5] has stated that Jews have given essential meaning to the last two thousand years of Western history. He sees the Jews as a people racially superior to all others. A full page advertisement for this book occurred in the New York Times 5 January 1970 and contained the recommendation of the Jew Ashley Montagu, an advocate of racial equity. Clearly, some races are more equal then others. Weyl and Possony alleged that Jews were inherently more intelligent than other people. They were never vilified or abused as Shockley or Jensen were. The writer C.P. Snow also stated that Jews were intellectually superior to all other people [6] and was "patted" on his head by the "American" press. Our aim in this essay is to debunk this myth of Jewish intellectual superiority. We deal first with the IQ argument.

MacDonald [7] makes much of alleged superior Jewish intelligence in his theory of the Jewish group evolutionary strategy. Through eugenics (e.g. the learned Rabbis having many children, the learned Christian priests, none) [8] Jews have established an IQ advantage. MacDonald cites an average Ashkenazi Jew IQ of 117, with a verbal IQ in the range of 125 and a performance IQ in the average range. Other psychologists have said that Jews score significantly lower on visuospatial reasoning, especially against Scandinavian Nordics. [9] There are surprisingly few IQ studies of Jewish-Gentile IQ differences. But it is important to note that it always Ashkenazi Jews who are alleged to be superior. Oriental Jews have a poorer performance on IQ tests and academic achievement. [10]
Jewish school children have about an average IQ (= 100) and Israeli [11] military tests given an IQ of 100 with a small gender differential. This of course produces a problem for MacDonald's theory which sees Jewish culture and Talmudic traditions as having an eugenic effect. If this was so, we would see superior IQ in orthodox Rabbinical traditions in the Middle East. We would expect Israel to be overflowing with scientists and philosophers instead of being the AID-dependent nation that it is. The group selectionist argument that there has been a voluntary reduction of reproductive success by Jews with low IQ does not seem plausible to us. Reproductive success, as always, is a function of resource-richness, and this is true for both Rabbis and shepherds. [12]

Richard Lynn in his paper "The Intelligence of American Jews" [13] has given a downgrading of the Jewish intelligence IQ score. He notes that earlier studies such as the Backman 1970 study [14] were based on small samples: the number of Jewish boys was only 65! Other studies use similar small samples and have not been drawn to be nationally representative. One further study by Backman in 1972 which Lynn considers representative had sample sizes of 1236 Jews, 1051 White Gentiles, 488 Blacks and 150 Orientals. IQs for six factors were calculated and the Jews scored: verbal comprehension factor 107-8, English language 99.5, mathematics 109.7, visual reasoning 91.3, perceptual speed and accuracy 102.2 and memory 95.1. Lynn feels that the "Differences in the IQs for the various abilities are so great as to raise doubts about the results," and he says that the verbal IQ of 107.8 is at the lower end of estimates of Jewish verbal ability - even though these other estimates are non-representative and therefore technically flawed. [15] It is worth noting that in IQ studies conducted earlier in the century Ashkenazi Jews did worse than Nordic ethnic groups such as the Scots.

Audrey Shuey [16] administered the American Council Psychological Examination to freshman students entering Washington Square College, New York in 1935-37 to 2,985 students as follows:
2,250 as Jewish, 399 as Catholics, 336 as Protestants were positively identified.
Overall the groups ranked in order: Protestant, Jewish and Catholic with the Protestant average superior to the Jewish on all tests except one and the Jewish average superior to the Catholic on all tests. When foreign-born students and students of foreign-born parents were eliminated from the tests, the results were substantially the same. White Protestants were generally of Northern European extraction, while Catholics of Southern European, Central European or Irish extraction and Jews of Eastern European extraction.

Lynn is correct in stating that although the sample size is large, the sample is not representative. And, we should add, nor are most of the studies yielding results of Jewish supremacy on IQ tests. He says that a more recent study by Hennessy and Merrifield with a sample size of 2,985 students, which found a difference of less than 1 point on the verbal ability and reasoning tests "may not have been representative of the populations". [17] By the same methodological strictness, few studies, including Lynn's are truly representative.

Lynn examined the vocabulary scores of Jews, non-Jewish Whites, Blacks and others obtained in the American General Social Surveys carried out by the National Opinion Research Center in Chicago in the years 1990-1996. The survey collected information about the respondent's religion and ethnic group (among other things) as well as the respondent's score sheet on a 10-word vocabulary test.
Vocabulary is a good measure of verbal intelligence. In a single year approximately 1,500 individuals are surveyed, which does not provide many Jews. Lynn thus considered the results of a number of years and combined them, which again raises the problem of representativeness and comparability of samples. In any case Jews obtained a mean IQ of 107.5, significantly higher than Gentile Whites and Blacks a mean IQ of 89.7. This result is closely similar to the Bachman study as it proposes that the Jewish IQ advantage is significantly less than proposed by psychologists such as MacDonald. Nevertheless Lynn's sample size of Jews (150) is still small compared to the sample size of Gentile Whites (5,300). As we have argued below, Lynn's Whites include Mediterranean and Alpine mixtures (although for once he did not include Hispanics with Whites). We have suggested previously, based on the Flynn effect and the IQ scores of Nordics made earlier in this century (as well as other data) that the Nordic IQ score is greater than 100 although it is difficult to say what it is today with politically correct testing. Lynn is skeptical about environmental explanations of this difference. He says "Environmental explanations for the high Jewish [verbal] IQ are difficult to find. Even if it is supposed that Jews provide their children with a good environment for fostering the intelligence of their children, there is a problem for providing an explanation for why they do this". [18] There are no shortages of environmental explanations of the high Jewish IQ, including Jewish urbanization and professional aggressiveness, a culture valuing learning and language (especially learning other languages which improves language cognitive abilities), and a culture fostering success. [19] Lynn's statement is absurd because it is obvious why Jewish parents provide a good environment for fostering their children's intelligence - and that is for success. [20]

MacDonald observes that Jews have received a disproportionate number of Nobel Prizes in all categories from 1901 to 1985. Likewise for other scientific and cultural awards. For those such as Lynn and Vanhanen [21] there is a high correlation between IQ and success, not only for individuals, but for entire nations. (Mean national IQ is said to correlate 0.71 with GNP Lynn and Vanhanen believe.) However considering the IQ of Jews, we would expect that the Jewish population would produce individuals with an IQ over 130 at four times the White rate. If the Jewish proportion of the US population is taken to be 3 per cent (absurdly low in our opinion) Jews should constitute 12 per cent of US high achievers. Instead of this Jews constitute 76 per cent of influential intellectuals, 30 per cent of the faculty at elite universities and 23 per cent of the wealthiest Americans.

High IQ does not adequately explain success. It does not adequately explain the success of groups such as the Southern Italians who would generally have scored below average in IQ tests, yet have excelled in money-making in modern America, Australia and Canada through, if dishonest, hardcore (the Mafia) or softcore (tax evasion) criminal activities, or if honest, through good old-fashioned hard work for which Italians are renowned. [21] Dickens (et al) analyzed how much of the variance in income could be explained by scores on the Armed Forces Qualification Test (AFQT) (which Herrnstein and Murray believe is a better measure of IQ than other tests) and found that the AFQT could explain only 15 per cent of differences in income. [22] Jewish success, at the level at which it is at present is a product of Jewish ethnocentrism and nepotism as Kevin Alfred Strom explains:

"Jews have a higher degree of group consciousness - of racial identity - than Whites, and this intense ethnic identity makes Jews willing and eager to put their group interests above other interests, even individual economic interests. Thus Jews are more willing to help their fellow Jews because they are Jews (which experience tells us they do in so many different ways that it boggles the mind) than Whites are willing to help their fellow Whites because they are Whites (which happens far too seldom, and which is socially unacceptable anyway - even illegal - in the insane social and "moral" system which crafty Jews and decadent Whites have imposed on us). So Jews will preferentially hire other Jews; Jews will openly organize themselves to advance Jewish interests; Jews will portray Jews as sympathetic characters in their entertainment media; Jews will show Jewish interests as morally right in their news media; and, most importantly in my view, Jews will demonize any who oppose Jewish interests or who promote White interests. All of these things have an effect on the Jewish success rate in various fields, and the last mentioned has a profound effect in making many Gentiles, many Whites, act to promote Jewish success and Jewish interests and also makes them, in many cases, act against their own individual interests and their own racial interests. In fact, Jewish influence has been paramount in constructing the "liberal" moral paradigm of the 20th century, which in effect says that acting in the interest of White people and doing anything which tends to support our continued existence in the world - whether opposing racial mixing or working for an exclusive living space for Whites - is "racism" and of course "racism" is the ultimate in evil according to this Jewish-created "morality".
So Jewish success is hardly surprising. They've leveraged their high verbal IQ, through their extraordinary racial solidarity, into a media/legal/religious combine which essentially tricks Whites into acting for Jewish interests. Since, in the United States, Whites constitute the largest pool of geniuses and high-achievers, an even greater absolute number than Jewish geniuses and high-achievers, the combination of smart Jewish brains employing captured White brains is a most formidable one. The very smart Jews are focused on their ethnic interests; with the very smart Whites deliberately prevented from focusing on their ethnic interests and in fact rewarded for opposing their own interests and either convinced that the slightest opposition to Jews is the ultimate immoral act (anti-Semitism) or convinced by empirical evidence that they will be punished for it." [23]

This reasoning explains the Jewish success in obtaining prizes in science far better than the IQ argument because at best their spatiovisual and mathematical IQ is only slightly above the White average and at worst, slightly less. As the American racialist David Duke has said:

"Disproportionate Jewish success in winning scientific and cultural awards is a reflection on both their abilities and their team strategy. Both the Academy Awards and the Pulitzer Prizes have a large contingent of Jewish voters who have from an early age been taught to favor their own….
Jews are especially prone to join the governing bodies of any social organization in which they participate, and thus would tend to increase their ability to recognize and reward their own in their respective professions. Additionally, the Jewish-dominated news and entertainment media consistently elevate their own for praise and recognition". [24]

This networking process is well illustrated by the award of the Nobel Peace Prize to Jewish terrorist Menachim Begin who would not have received such a prize if it was not for the support given to him by the global news media. The role of the news media in promoting Albert Einstein as the epitome of Jewish scientific genius will be discussed in another essay.

It is also worth noting that throughout world history there exists an aristocracy of the skin, where lighter skinned people have ruled the darker: the lighter skinned Indians dominate the darker skinned Indians; Ashkenazi Jews in Israel dominate Sephardic Jews; the Japanese ruling class is typically lighter-skinned than the rest of the nation; in South America e.g., Brazil, a White/light skinned minority rules a vast discolored majority and in Italy a fairer Northern people are more advanced culturally and their "Northern League" seeks separation from the darker, less culturally advanced Italian of the South. [25]
It is interesting to note that although Jews have a significant number of genes in common, resulting in a general resemblance between Jews of any kind, Ashkenazi Jews have a substantial number of Nordic genes, captured from Nordics during the Jews' stay in Aryan society. Right across Europe, and also here in the United Sates, it is common to see successful Ashkenazi Jew with fair hair and blue eyes, the George Soros type. [26] The Nordicization of the Ashkenazi Jew though, methodologically invalidates claims of Jewish intellectual superiority because the superiority could well be a product of the Nordic genes which these Jews have captured.

2. Jewish Intellectual Superiority?

So who then is superior? In terms of IQ even given the standard arguments, the White gentile (Aryan) bell curve is flatter than the Jew curve with less Whites clustered around the mean and more at the higher and lower ends of the curve. Even if the status quo population statistics for the number of Jews in America is rejected there are still many times over, greater numbers of intelligent Aryans than Jews in fields requiring high non-verb, problem-solving intelligence - such as medicine, engineering, physics, mathematics and biology. Verbal-skills are not the principal civilization-building tools but problem-solving and analytical skills are. Strom has said on this point:

"White civilization is unmatched in terms of inventiveness, creativity, and progress. It has produced a wildly disproportionate number of cultural, scientific, and technological achievements. It literally invented science - another word for "science," after all, is "Western science". It is the only civilization which has sent men to walk on the surface of another world. It has understood the laws of nature beyond the understanding of any people and has used that understanding to create a whole new world of possibilities for the future. Jews, on the other hand, lack a great deal when it comes to civilization-building and certain kinds of creativity. Their record of artistic achievement is sparse, and they exist almost exclusively as a small, privileged class attached to an always much-larger Gentile host population". [27]

Earlier, C.G. Jung said:

"The Jew, as relatively a nomad, has never produced, and presumably never will produce a culture of his own, since all his instincts and gifts require a more or less civilized host-people for their development. Therefore, the Jewish race as a whole has, according to my experience, an unconsciousness which can only conditionally be compared to the Aryan.
Aside from certain creative individuals, the average Jew is already much too conscious and differentiated to be pregnant with the tensions of the unborn future. The Aryan unconscious has a higher potential than the Jewish; that is the advantage and the disadvantage of a youthfulness not yet fully estranged from barbarism". [28]

The Oriental Institute in Chicago has one of the world's most outstanding collections of fine arts and it specializes in the Near East, which is the area in which the Jews claim as their origin. The Jewish collection could not contrast more with the collections of Egypt and Assyria. Instead of exquisite art we find broken pieces of clay pots, crude unglazed utensils and other items associated with a Nomadic peoples. The Hebrews held that the mathematical constant pi was 3 until a few centuries ago. [29] A nomadic lifestyle in past centuries is hardly something to be ashamed of and nor for that matter is a fear of the infinite in mathematics. Nevertheless, the supporters of the racialist Jewish intellectual supremacy thesis must deal with such uncomfortable facts if they wish to support their thesis.

There have been "anti-Semitic" Jewish intellectuals who have been sharp critics of the Jewish intellectual supremacism thesis. The Jewish philosopher Wittgenstien said that "Even the greatest of Jewish thinkers is no more than talented". [30] He said that Jews lack creative power, as did the Jewish philosopher Otto Weininger. [31] Weininger recognized that his work would be seen as anti-Semitic [32] but said that the greatest of genius 'have nearly always been anti-semites". [33] He listed Tacitus, Voltaire, Pascal, Herder, Goethe, Kant, Jean Paul, Schopenhauer, Grillparzer, and Wagner. A longer list would name: St Thomas Aquinas, St. Augustine, Francis Bacon, Ludwig von Beethoven, Hillaire Belloc, Johannes Brahms, Giordano Bruno, Jakob Burckhardt, Sir Richard Francis Burton, Robert Burton, Samuel Butler, Lord Byron, Thomas Carlyle, Geoffrey Chaucer, Anton Chekov, St. John Chrysostom, St. Justin Martyr, Cicero, William Cobbett, Samuel T. Coleridge, Constantine, Diderot, Diogenes, Laertius, John Donne, Fyodor Dostoyevsky, John Dryden, Eugen Duhring, George Eliot, T.S. Eliot, Ralph Waldo Emerson, Euphrates, Ferdinand I, Ludwig Feuerbach, Johann Gottlieb Fichte, Charles Fourier, Charles de Gaulle, Edward Gibbon, Nickolai Gogol, Graham Greene, Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm, Lord Harrington, Georg W. Hegel, Victor Hugo, David Hume, Thomas Huxley, Thomas Jefferson, D.H. Lawrence, Franz Liszt, Martin Luther, Christopher Marlowe, Moliére, Montesquieu, Nickolai I (Tsar of Russia), Origenes, Peter the Great, Petronius, Pliny the Elder, Plutarch, Alexander Pope, Posidonius, Pierre Proudhon, Johann von Schiller, Seneca, William Shakespeare, George Bernard Shaw, Percy B. Shelley, Frederick Soddy, Aleksandr Solzhentisyn, Georges Sorel, Jonathan Swift, Tertullian, Alphonse Toussanel, Tritheim of Wurzburg, Mark Twain and H.G. Wells. All would be prosecuted today under Canadian, French, German and Australian race hate legislation.

Contrast the work of these intellectual giants with that of rising Jewish intellectual of today, Bernard-Henri Le'vy, Nouveaux philosophes. Here is the male equivalent of the "new feminism", "philosophy is dead, but my clothes look great". He seems, as a good postmodernist, to invent history as he goes, claiming for example in one book that Himmler stood trial at Nuremberg, when in fact he committed suicide. He has founded anti-racist groups in France to oppose Le Pen.

Another leading French intellectual Jacques Derrida in his deconstructionism sees language as purely arbitrary constructions and words themselves as arbitrary signifiers. [34] What this means is that truth and knowledge is impossible because reality can only be grasped through language and language is indeterminate. The Jewish writer Norman Cantor in The Sacred Chain after discussing Derrida's work says "The Jews are a superior people intellectually…" [35] After basing his argument on the likes of Freud, Boas, Lé vì-Strauss and Derrida, that statement can only be taken as comic relief. Cantor, being on a roll goes on to say that postmodernism is compatible with Jewish Talmudic thought. Thus Derrida "is propounding a hermeneutic theory of the text that is fully within Talmudic, Cabalistic, and Hasidic traditions". [36] That is difficult to comprehend if language is ultimately indeterminate and a purely construct, and if "true", would reduce these traditions to absurdity. [37]

Conclusion

The thesis of Jewish intellectual supremacy does not withstand critical examination. This is not to say that apart from the contributions of the Jewish Left the mainstream Jewish community has had little positive impact as real anti-Semitists and race haters propose. On the contrary, many hard-working Jews with no interest in criticizing or undermining Gentile culture have made important contributions to science and polity. The opening quotations to this essay are of historical interest and are not the opinion of the authors. However these contributions, as critics such as Kevin MacDonald have shown are unfortunately over-shadowed by the "culture of critique" of Leftist Jews who, like Leftist Gentiles, see Western culture as flawed.

There is concern by Jews and other people of goodwill about the spread of real anti-Semitism (i.e. genuine hatred of the Jews and not merely concern with the "culture of critique") in Europe today. Those of us knowledgeable about Asia are well aware that phenomena such as Hitler-fascination and Holocaust denial are popular amongst the Chinese and especially the Indians. None of these peoples have guilt about the holocaust and none accept the Jews as a "chosen people". [38] How "smart" is it to adopt a group evolutionary strategy (to use Kevin MacDonald's terminology) which will undermine the people with whom one has lived for centuries? How "smart" is it to expect the Chinese and Indians, the likely powers to replace Whites after the fall of America, to fall for the same ruse? Insightful Jewish critics such as Stephen Steinlight, are already questioning the rationality of the "culture of critique" and we must do the same. [39]
Is it too much to hope that a sizeable portion of the Jewish intellectual elite may come to see that their survival is intimately linked to ours? [40]
