Beware, a new Dark Age of social control is upon us The End of Civility By James Reed

More crazy talk from the epicentre of madn4ess, the US university system

“A New York University educator recently asserted that current “calls for civility are just a power play by those who feel that white supremacy is under threat.” Simran Jeet Singh, a Henry R. Luce Post-Doctoral Fellow for Religion in International Affairs at NYU’s Center for Religion and Media, made the claim Monday evening in two Twitter threads that appeared to be a response to widespread calls for civility after Maxine Waters publicly endorsed the mass harassment of members of the Trump administration this weekend. “Calls for civility are just a power play by those who feel that white supremacy is under threat.”

Singh, who describes himself as an “anti-racist activist,” proposed in the first thread that “lecturing people of color about civility in this climate is an ultimate sign of privilege.” “If you don’t know what it’s like to fight for your life every single day, then it might not be your place to tell us how to fight personal and systemic racism,” he asserts, later adding that “they mobilize and run these dehumanizing racist systems—and then they ask us to be more civil?” “Civility is racially coded, too,” Singh explains in the second thread. “Europeans described those they colonized as uncivilized people’s (barbaric, backwards, savages) in need of civilizing,” he claims. “This logic was central to the colonial enterprise.”

Well, does this well-paid professor have to fight for his life everyday? I bet he does not. Maybe a few nights sleeping rough with the white poor in his city might change his chip on the shoulder, although I would not bet on it.  Then we have advanced cases of Trump Derangement syndrome, where elites of the Left want a nuclear war, to sort things out:

“Trump Derangement Syndrome has gotten so bad for liberal billionaire Tom Steyer he is actually pining for a nuclear war that would kill tens of millions (including him) so there would be a “real course correction” for our country. That’s absolutely insane. There were many on the right who were certainly not fans of Barack Obama, but as far as we know no conservative ever called for a nuclear war just so we could get rid of him. As reported by the Washington Free Beacon, Steyer made his statement in the equally loony Rolling Stone magazine: Steyer, who launched a national impeachment campaign against President Donald Trump last year, spoke with the liberal magazine about his efforts, which have been opposed by leading Democrats like House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D., Calif.).

Interviewer Tim Dickinson pointed out Pelosi’s strategy of opposing impeachment of President George W. Bush, to take the issue off the table in 2006. Democrats took back both chambers of Congress in an electoral rout that year. Steyer said that he remembers 2006 and that Bush was responsible for embroiling America in “two disastrous wars” — which weren’t really “disastrous” except to the Left, and one of which was tied to our country being attacked on Sept. 11, 2001 (which Steyer probably blames America for). He also said the U.S. was headed toward financial doom — what would become the Great Recession, though that really didn’t start until late 2007/early 2008.  “So if the answer is that we need those three things to happen for a course correction, I’d prefer to move a little quicker. How about that? But I take your point. Maybe we can have, like, a nuclear war and then we get a real course correction.”

After being questioned about the remark, Steyer said he would withdraw the nuclear war reference.’ The Left feel that they are free to say what they like, but of course do not extend the same freedom to their opponents. Of course not. It is a cultural war, after all, and one can hardly expect anything other than hard ball.

Final thought: do White lives matter? Of course not:
