'TO ALL FRENCH PEOPLE'
On 19th October 2007, Nicholas Sarkozy scorned the 16 million French people (54.7% of those who voted) who refused the European Constitution in the referendum of 29th May 2005. He scorned them by signing, at Lisbon on 19th Oct 2007, a European Treaty which is simply a 'camouflaged' version of the one rejected by the French people in May 2005. By this action Sarkozy sold off the sovereignty of the French people at a knock-down price. Now, with the complicity of the principal media, the same people are preparing to confiscate from the French people power to make their own decisions and to chart their own destiny by getting the 'recycled' treaty through on a parliamentary vote. To not respect the people's vote of 29/5/05 is treason which denies universal suffrage, national and popular sovereignty and democracy itself. That is why we call on the French people to unite with us in action and in hope.
