THE COST OF THE LAST ELECTION
by Jeremy Lee
There's a lot of hype about giving Middle East nations the priceless
gift of 'democracy'. But in western industrialised nations, democracy
is increasingly elusive. Poll after poll shows politicians are disliked
and distrusted. They are no longer believed. Attempts by the media to
generate concern over the latest broken promises no longer work. It's
simply "Ho hum" to the ordinary voter, who'd be much more
surprised if governments consulted the people and carried out their
will.
The Big Spenders
The biggest spender in the last federal election was banker Malcolm
Turnbull, who reportedly (Bulletin, 11/4/05) spent more than
$600,000 to win the seat of Wentworth. That's more than $7 per vote!
At the backbench salary of $100,000. that will take Malcolm's total
salary for the next two elections before he's caught up. Mind you, if
you're a former executive for Goldman Sachs, with a reputed worth of
$150 million, $600,000 is not going to worry you too much. Fame, power
and position are far more attractive.
Pay Back
Once a candidate gains 4 per cent or more of the vote, he is recompensed
$1.94 per vote by the taxpayer. An independent candidate receives such
recompense as a personal payment. But party candidates have conceded
that such funds will go to "the party" before the vote takes
place. There was the famous case of Pauline Hanson, whose first success
as member for Oxley resulted in the Liberals seizing her refund, despite
the fact that the Liberal Party had disendorsed her as their candidate!
There hadn't been time to take the Liberal tag off the polling slips,
which was the party's excuse for theft!
Eating Cake
The political parties did fairly well out of tax funds in the October
2004 election. Handouts were as follows:
Liberal Party
$17,956,326.48 ($18 million)
A.L.P.
$16,710,043.43 ($16.7 million)
Greens
$3,316,702.48 ($3.3 million)
National Party
$2,966, 531.27 ($3 million)
Democrats
$8,491.26 ($8.5 thousand)
(Source: The Bulletin, April 12, 2005)
In other words, taxpayers forked out well over $40 million to recompense
candidates for standing for office!
But - That's Not All
Taxpayer funds are not the only source of income for political parties.
As most of us know by now, the major corporations hand out finance to
compliant politicians, often betting on every horse in the race. Here's
a sample of some of the companies and their political donations (Source:

The 'gentle-hearted' may like to believe that
such corporations are altruistic enough to support the democratic system
without any other motive. But the vast majority know that the sums above
are a hard-nosed form of investment. It doesn't matter which major party
wins; they've sold out before they even get in.

I WILL NOT GO QUIETLY INTO THE NIGHT
by Frosty Wooldridge
From NewsWithViews.com April 28, 2005.
The following article is a reflection of the frustration and anger rising
within the breasts of the men and women of the western nations who see
their lands and peoples being sold out by their corrupted, treasonous
elite.
"At the current rate of invasion of three
million annually, the United States will be completely overrun with
illegal aliens by the year 2025. I'm not talking about legal immigrants
who follow US law to become citizens. In less than 20 years, if we do
not stop the invasion, ILLEGAL aliens and their offspring will be the
dominant population in the United States," said Jim Gilchrist,
director of the "Minute Man Project".
According to US Border Control, "Illegal aliens will have made
such inroads into the political and social systems that they will have
more influence than our Constitution over how the U.S. is governed.
The ugly consequence of an ignored U.S. Constitution is already taking
place."
"I am a 47 year old American who lost my
job to outsourcing," said Ken Boettger from Ellensburg, Washington.
"I have spent the last of my retirement and am at my wits end.
And I will tell you what, I WILL NOT GO QUIETLY INTO THE NIGHT!"
"If those in government think they can control us, like Iraq, they
better think again," Boettger said. "The new microwave systems,
sonic amplifiers and more will be turned against them. Hackers, engineers,
physicists and others are ready to respond to the call. WE are the ones
they have abused
"
"Bush, and those giving him his direction, continually overstep
their competency and their understanding of the will and capability
of the American people," Boettger said. "I believe, in the
end, they are going to get similar treatment they gave to Saddam. I
had no love for Saddam, but I will tell you what, my dislike for George
Bush is tangible and far worse. His father and those who work behind
the scenes in controlling this nation are worse than the son. Their
arrogance and pride will only make things worse for them in the end.
I am in front and will likely fall, but there is a very large wave behind
me. As Einstein said, Hitler's fault was that he turned the whole world
against him. SO TOO BUSH and the elite in this country!"
· How many readers find themselves betrayed
by this president that refuses to honour his oath of office?
· How many stand in unemployment lines while Bush struts about
his Washington parties?
· How many see their jobs outsourced?
· Why has our national language been usurped by illegal aliens?
· Why have our schools been overrun?
· What has happened to our health care?
· Who isn't affected by the migration invasion?
"They are such idiots in their blind greed and lust for domination
and power," Boettger stated.
"I wrote an article about my experience
in Boeing as a consultant with green carded Chinese, Boeing looked the
other way. They did not give a damn as long as they had cheap labour.
I say Boeing, but it was actually corporate. It was the corporate elite
in this country. No different than the elite in other suppressed nations.
No different than the Third Reich (GOP)."
Set up shop elsewhere - to survive 'the great
fall'
"The corporate elite have a corporate nation that has no geographical
boundaries," Boettger said. "They have set up shop outside
the US to survive the great fall. And so it is apparent it was premeditated.
"It is a corporate world government that exists right now and they
don't give a damn about US sovereignty, US soil or the American people.
They only care about corporate sovereignty that is in direct conflict
with the people and the US Constitution.
"They hold to no holistic principles, care nothing about the environment,
and would sell their own daughters and grandmothers to sexual slavery
if they could make a profit. They have NO morals."
Boettger added, "China is in bed with the
corporate elite. It was set up from the beginning. It is time to give
that alarm
It looks like some in power are starting to take the
lead... and I WILL be there for them."
This Congress, and Bush need to be chased into their old age for what
they did to America. "Absolutely everything should be taken away
from them," Boettger said. "They should be forced to live
in poverty without medical aid. Their kids should be forced to attend
schools where no one speaks English. They should suffer the crime, drugs
and diseases they perpetrate on Americans with this illegal invasion
Bush
invites this illegal alien invasion on my country and children and my
fellow Americans, but he better know this - I will not go quietly into
the night."

LAW AND GOSPEL IN A FRESH CONTEXT
by Rev. Stewart Mechie
First published in the Social Credit quarterly "The Fig Tree"
March, 1939
"Perhaps the most fundamental hindrance
to the acceptance of Social Credit principles is the wide-spread feeling
that it is immoral to receive something for nothing. It is commonly
believed, and sometimes said, that to give people a payment, like a
National Dividend, for which they have not worked, would be unjust in
itself and would lead to general demoralisation. It may be pointed out
in reply that many of those who share this feeling are themselves the
recipients of dividends for which they have not worked, and that they
are not obviously demoralised thereby. Again, the citizen of today may
fairly claim to be the heir of all the inventors of the past and therefore,
on bounds of barest justice, to be due a dividend from the present-day
fruits of the cultural inheritance of the ages, whether or not his services
are required in contemporary production. It may be doubted, however,
whether such replies, reasonable as they must be admitted to be, can
do much to eradicate this half-inarticulate feeling, for it springs
chiefly from a perverted moralism nourished by human pride and self-conceit.
An examination of the same moralism at work in
another sphere may not be without interest and profit.
The moralist has always had a difficulty with the Christian Gospel.
It seems to him dangerously facile to declare that the Divine welcome
awaits all who, weary of past failure and fruitless effort, cast themselves
in simple faith on the Redeemer.
"Just as I am, and waiting not
To rid my soul of one dark blot."
That is good religion, but it seems very risky
morality. The issue emerged in the first generation of the Christian
Church, as soon as the Jewish Christianity of the earliest days began
to ask itself on what terms Gentiles could be allowed into the Church
and could be received there in full fellowship with Christians of Jewish
race. The Judaizing party in the Church demanded that Gentiles should
come in by way of the Jewish Law. From one point of view that was not
an unreasonable demand. The morality of many of the cities of the Roman
Empire in the first century was shockingly low. To preach a Gospel of
free grace and unmerited forgiveness to Gentiles brought up in such
an environment seemed to the opponents of St. Paul to be a condoning
of evil and a direct encouragement of laxity.
Let the Gentile become a good Jew first. Let him keep the Law and give
guarantees of moral soundness; then let him have the Gospel.
Was it not dangerous to eliminate the Law and trust to the Spirit? Moreover,
in those days, as in later centuries, there were at work antinomian
tendencies. There were not wanting some who declared that their possession
of faith or their participation in certain rites or sacraments exempted
them from the demands of mere morality.
Here was a good cudgel wherewith to belabour
the Apostle of free grace. What else could he expect when he went about
declaring that Christians were "not under the law but under grace"?
It has been suggested that St. Paul was untrue to the mind of his Master
in this matter; but the suggestion will not bear deep examination. In
the parable of the Pharisee and the Publican (Luke 18: verses 9-14)
there is no question of bare justice, of making the punishment fit the
crime, but rather, as a great expositor declares, "Christ's reflection
on the two men is equivalent in drift to Paul's doctrine of justification
by grace through faith".
Similarly in the parable of the Labourers in
the Vineyard (Matt. 20: verses 1-16) the bargaining spirit of the labourers,
who wish payment to be in proportion to work done, is set against the
Divine spirit of abundant and over-flowing kindness which takes no account
of merit.
Again, in the parable of the Prodigal Son (Luke 15: verses 11-32) it
is the elder brother who would like the father to adhere closely to
the rewarding of merit. The father, on the contrary, meets the returning
prodigal's "I have sinned" with no limited forgiveness, no
probation for a period, no demand for guarantees, but with a full and
free forgiveness on the spot.
What is thus evident in the teaching of Jesus
is even more clear in His conduct. The indignation of the religious
leaders of the day who sneered, "this man receiveth sinners and
eateth with them" was not aroused simply by the fact that he took
note of the outcasts of society. They expected a holy man of God to
turn His attention to them, to denounce them and preach to them; and
if some of them saw the error of their ways and became penitent, so
much the better. But a holy teacher would, of course, keep them at a
distance till they gave proof of amendment. The burden of their complaint
against Jesus was that He sought out sinners, associated with them before
they gave signs of amendment, accepted them as He did Zacchaeus (Luke
19: verses 1-10) without any period of probation or accumulation of
merits to balance past misdeeds.
This, in action, is the Gospel of free grace
for which St. Paul stood. It is the only message worthy of being called
a Gospel, for on the strict basis of merit no man can stand before a
holy God and no man can give adequate guarantees.
Obviously it involves a moral risk, but, according to the New Testament,
God takes that risk, and as a recent writer puts it, "perhaps the
very faith which God has in the future of a poor defeated sinner who
has nothing to offer but a cry, the faith by which God accepts the risk
for Jesus' sake and justifies the ungodly, creates its own verification
and brings that apparently impossible future into actual existence.
Certainly this was what happened when Jesus brought all His love and
trust to bear upon the publicans and sinners who felt that they had
forfeited all love and trust for ever. His forgiveness not only cancelled
the past, but regenerated them in the present and made them saints for
the future" (J. S. Stewart, "A Man in Christ,"
page 259).
Over against the Gospel, then, we set the religion
of legalism and moralism which, in the long run, is a religion of salvation
by human effort, and is commonly tainted by tendencies towards something
negative and mercenary, the attempt by rigorous repressions and meritorious
practices to put God in man's debt and so to wring salvation from Him.
A true Evangel, on the other hand, declares that God never can be in
man's debt and that salvation does not need to be wrung from Him. In
His loving-kindness He has taken the initiative: salvation is freely
offered; all that man can do and need do is humbly and gratefully to
accept.
To admit that, however, is an offence to man's pride. On the Gospel
basis "boasting is excluded," as St. Paul says. But man likes
to boast, or, at any rate, he likes to feel that he has something to
boast about. He longs to be able to feel that he is earning his salvation.
To suggest that this is for ever impossible is an affront to his self-conceit.
Man's attempt to earn salvation, instead of being content to receive
it, is grounded in this pride which cannot bear to admit its entire
dependence on Another. Thus, in the Judaizing
opposition to the Gospel of free grace there was more than a fervent
zeal for the interests of morality. There was this innate human pride
which hates to admit its own failure and dependence, and also a large
infusion of Jewish racial and religious pride.
A free Gospel put the Gentile on the same footing
as the Jew.
Both could do nothing to earn their spiritual blessings, both must be
content humbly and gratefully to accept them. It was hard for the Jew
to find himself in no better a position than the despised lesser breeds
without the Law. No wonder the Judaizing section of the Church found
refuge from this humiliation in a zeal for the interests of morality
and a demand that Gentiles should come to the Gospel by way of the Law.
Sympathetically considered the Judaizers were not unreasonable; critically
considered they stood for a legalistic moralism perverted by pride."
GOD'S BOUNTY IN NATURE - A SHARE FOR ALL
"Are we wrong in supposing that the same temper of mind which once
denied all men free access to God's free grace and insisted on their
first carrying the burden of Jewish legalism is now revealing itself
in those who would deny men access to God's bounty in Nature and in
the cultural inheritance of the race unless they first acquire merit
by engaging in gainful employment?
In both cases there is little, if any, necessary connection between
the pains to be endured and the blessing to be acquired thereby. The
connection is largely needless and arbitrary.
Moreover, in both cases there is a show of fervent zeal for morality
and in both cases a large admixture of pride, partly the pride which
rebels at every man being put in the same position as a hitherto privileged
class, and partly the pride which cannot bear to realise that it is
not self-sufficient - however absurd and impossible such self-sufficiency
would be - but would like to stand on a basis of bargaining and work
done even in the presence of the Creator of all.
This is not religion, it is not even morality; it is a perverted moralism
- perverted because not founded on Reality."

AMERICA WELCOMES ILLEGALS' CONTAGIOUS DISEASES
continued:
Before we continue the article from last week's
On Target, it should be noted the Australian League of Rights carries
a number of books written from an 'alternative' health view, and for
very good reason. There are two current approaches to 'health' and 'disease'
in the western world:
1. One is based on the study of the Natural Law and how it relates to
the natural agricultural cycle of Animal and Vegetable Waste - Soil
- Plant - Food - {Animal} Man. This approach was summed up in the 1920s
by Sir Robert McCarrison, the physician who wrote about the Hunza people
of north India:
"
the right kind of food (nutrition) is the most important
single factor in the promotion of health, and the wrong kind of food
the most important single factor in the promotion of disease."
2. The other approach is based on the Pasteur 'germ theory of disease'.
In the beginning
Over fifty years ago social crediter Ralph Laslett Duck (1) traced the
origins of these two approaches:
· One reaches back to a Frenchman, Professor Pierre Jacques Antione
Béchamp, and his research into the field of biology.
· The other to another Frenchman, Louis Pasteur (who, it is claimed,
plagiarised Béchamp's work) and his 'germ theory of disease'.
Summed up
Ethel Douglas Hume wrote of Béchamp's work in 1923:
"All those interested in the Healing Arts should study Béchamp's
teachings on Microzyma, the primal units or minute ferments which alter
into living cells, or bacteria, if there is morbid material to be consumed."
(2)
Dr. J.E. West followed up in 1987 (3) explaining what is, the now termed,
orthomolecular approach to health - the biological approach as opposed
to 'the germ theory of disease'.
Dr. West writes:
"There is confirmation of Béchamp's views. For example the
Lancet, a British medical journal, in 1968 carried an article by G.T.
Stewart, B. Sc., F.C., Path., Professor of epidemiology and pathology,
titled "Limitations of the Germ Theory" in which he outlines
that the germ theory of disease is an oversimplification of the basis
of infection. He states: "If two susceptible subjects are exposed
to equal doses of the same germ and one develops infection while the
other does not, the factor governing the development of infection clearly
lies outside the germ."
Professor Dubos from the Rockefeller University in New York, wrote in
his memoirs: "Virus and bacteria are not the sole cause of disease.
There is something else."
While the United States' illegal migrants are
not being screened for diseased conditions, we wonder as to the reasons
for their diseases. If the 'alternative' health people are right, many
of the illegal migrants are more than likely in a 'diseased' state because
of the poor nutrition, the nutrient depleted soil and the polluted environments
back in their homelands.

"America welcomes illegals' contagious
diseases" continued
..
"
Chagas Disease has no known cure. Chagas has the revolting
nickname of kissing bug disease. The Reduviid bug has parasites that
favor the lips and face for infection. That noxious Trypanosoma-Cruzi
protozoan annually infects 18 million people in Latin America and causes
50,000 deaths. This seditious disease also infiltrates America's blood
supply. Chagas affects blood transfusions and transplanted organs. Hundreds
of blood recipients may be silently infected. After 10 to 20 years,
up to 30% will die when their hearts or intestines, enlarged and weakened
by Chagas Disease, burst. Two people died of the three people in 2001
who received Chagas-infected organ transplants.
Leprosy, a scourge in Biblical days and in medieval Europe, so horribly
destroys flesh, faces, and fingers it was called Disease of the Soul.
Lepers quarantined in leprosaria sounded noisemakers when they ventured
out to warn people to stay far away. Leprosy or Hansen's Disease was
so rare in America that in 40 years only 900 people were afflicted.
Suddenly, in the past three years America has more than 7,000 cases
of leprosy. Leprosy now is endemic to northeastern states. There are
leprosy clinics in New York City. Illegal Aliens and other immigrants
brought leprosy from India, Brazil, the Caribbean, and Mexico.
Dengue Fever is exceptionally rare in America though common in Ecuador,
Peru, Viet Nam, Thailand, Bangladesh, Malaysia, and Mexico. Recently
there was a virulent outbreak of Dengue Fever on the Webb County, Texas,
border with Mexico. Though Dengue usually is not a fatal disease, Dengue
Hemorrhagic Fever, is one strain of the disease that routinely kills.
Polio was eradicated from America but now reappears in illegal immigrants.
Intestinal parasites were mostly obliterated. Our fine sanitation and
microbe-safe food supplies made them disappear. But they are back, in
the bodies of Illegal Aliens.
Malaria was obliterated but now is re-emerging in Texas and other states.
No mosquito that bites a person infected with malaria checks identification
papers before biting another person to transmit debilitating fever.
About 4000 young children under age five annually in America contract
the infectious disease called Kawasaki Disease. Youngsters develop fever,
red eyes, "strawberry tongue," and acute inflammation of their
coronary arteries and other blood vessels. Many suffer heart attacks
and sudden death.
Hepatitis A, B, and C are resurging. An outbreak of Hepatitis A in 2003
near Pittsburgh endangered 3000 thanks to infected Mexico-grown scallions
and Illegal Alien kitchen workers in a Chi-Chi's restaurant. Two Americans
died. Asians number 4% of Americans but over 50% of Hepatitis B cases.
We inoculate all newborns for Hepatitis B although mainly Asians are
susceptible. Why? The answer is political judgment not medical judgment.
Deadly Marburg disease, like the fierce hemorrhagic Ebola, right now
in April, 2005, is devastating Angola. Physicians in that African country
are despairing as hundreds of infected people bleed to death. Just one
infected person who could walk through the Golden Door of our Hospital
to the World could be a suicide bomber with incendiaries in his arteries,
veins, or capillaries.
Terrorists are buying so-called "weapons grade" strains of
disease organisms for bio-warfare. America risks devastation by evil
intent of a terrorist or by innocent accident of an infected Illegal
Alien walking through our foolishly open Golden Door.
Illegal Aliens secret in their bodies invisible, deadly time bombs.
Homeland Security ignores these lethal weapons of health destruction."
