NEW ORLEANS WAS ABANDONED AND DROWNED LONG AGO

Newspapers reported on 2 September 2005 that the US city of New Orleans, home to a multicultural majority of 500,000 people, is to be "abandoned" in the aftermath of the destruction caused by Hurricane Katrina. Thousands have died and about 80 per cent of the city is under water. New Orleans has a White minority and is one of the most "diverse" multiracial cities on earth, a giant experiment in State supported multiculturalism.
Yet when the chips were down what was witnessed was not the spirit of collective help that we saw in Darwin after Cyclone Tracy, but racial anarchy. Police have been unable to stop the largely coloured gangs of looters. Thus 10,000 National Guard troops have been sent into the area, as is the US Navy. Certainly many people looted stores for food because they had none; but too many people in the media coverage were seen taking TV sets, electrical goods, jewellery - even poker machines - and other non-essentials. Armed gangs roam the city, preying on people and shooting police and helicopters. White women were targeted by "rape gangs". This is how a multiracial city falls apart and dies. Immigration "drowned" New Orleans long before Hurricane Katrina.

Dear Mr. Bush: Any idea where all our helicopters are?
It's Day 5 of Hurricane Katrina and thousands remain stranded in New Orleans and need to be airlifted. Where on earth could you have misplaced all our military choppers? Do you need help finding them? I once lost my car in a Sears parking lot. Man, was that a drag.

Also, any idea where all our national guard soldiers are? We could really use them right now for the type of thing they signed up to do like helping with national disasters. How come they weren't there to begin with?
Last Thursday I was in south Florida and sat outside while the eye of Hurricane Katrina passed over my head. It was only a Category 1 then but it was pretty nasty. Eleven people died and, as of today, there were still homes without power. That night the weatherman said this storm was on its way to New Orleans. That was Thursday! Did anybody tell you?
I know you didn't want to interrupt your vacation and I know how you don't like to get bad news. Plus, you had fundraisers to go to and mothers of dead soldiers to ignore and smear. You sure showed her!
I especially like how, the day after the hurricane, instead of flying to Louisiana, you flew to San Diego to party with your business peeps.

Don't let people criticize you for this -- after all, the hurricane was over and what the heck could you do, put your finger in the dike? And don't listen to those who, in the coming days, will reveal how you specifically reduced the Army Corps of Engineers' budget for New Orleans this summer for the third year in a row. You just tell them that even if you hadn't cut the money to fix those levees, there weren't going to be any Army engineers to fix them anyway because you had a much more important construction job for them - building democracy in Iraq!

On Day 3, when you finally left your vacation home, I have to say I was moved by how you had your Air Force One pilot descend from the clouds as you flew over New Orleans so you could catch a quick look of the disaster. Hey, I know you couldn't stop and grab a bullhorn and stand on some rubble and act like a commander in chief. Been there done that. There will be those who will try to politicize this tragedy and try to use it against you. Just have your people keep pointing that out. Respond to nothing.
Even those pesky scientists who predicted this would happen because the water in the Gulf of Mexico is getting hotter and hotter making a storm like this inevitable. Ignore them and all their global warming Chicken Littles. There is nothing unusual about a hurricane that was so wide it would be like having one F-4 tornado that stretched from New York to Cleveland.

No, Mr. Bush, you just stay the course.
It's not your fault that 30 percent of New Orleans lives in poverty or that tens of thousands had no transportation to get out of town. C'mon, they're black! I mean, it's not like this happened to Kennebunkport. Can you imagine leaving white people on their roofs for five days? Don't make me laugh! Race has nothing -- NOTHING -- to do with this!

You hang in there, Mr. Bush. Just try to find a few of our Army helicopters and send them there.
Pretend the people of New Orleans and the Gulf Coast are near Tikrit.

FREE SPEECH AGAIN

These and others signed a letter "Free Speech Must be Accountable," published in The Australian, 17 August, 2005.

The politically correct writers were attacking Professor Andrew Fraser who bravely is criticizing African immigration to Australia and the wisdom of abandoning the White Australia policy. "Racism" "is proscribed by law and cannot be sanctioned in any quarter" they say. Who says that Fraser is a "racist", and if he is, so what? And what about reverse racism and hatred of Northern European Whites articulated by our tax payer funded postmodern Left? That presumably is not "racism". The cultural theory folk conclude free speech must be constrained by an ethics of responsibility so that cool people like the African community can be protected.

But why stop there? How about closing down all of the cultural studies departments listed above, sacking all the academics and giving the money saved to oppressed coloured people? Now that would be an ethic of responsibility. Anyone want to put their money where their mouth is?

LEFTISM: A DISEASE OF THE SOUL

In an article by Washington journalist Richard Cohen (The Australian 15 July 2005, p.17) the question is asked why is it that the Left can make heroes of mass murderers such as Mao Zedung.
Mao is the number one "mass murderer of modern times". Mao did not bathe and had an abundant supply of young Chinese virgins to share his "disgusting personal habits" with. Cohen raises the question of how the Left can worship these killers (Che Guevara is another) with no sense of guilt. But that is the answer!

The Left doesn't have a sense of guilt because believing Leftist things means that you never have to say that you are sorry. Intellectual infantilism is a flight from responsibility and the Left excels in that. Simplistic fairy tale beliefs in racial harmony and the equality of unequals have produced the multicultural chaos that alone threatens to destroy Western civilisation. The Left hold to these beliefs as firmly as the economic rationalist "New Right" hold to the economic benefits of globalisation. In both cases the belief systems are irrational but are self-serving justifying ideologies that legitimate, in the minds of these elites, their acts of cultural terrorism. These systems are, in short, diseases of the soul of the West.

ON MISHANDLING THE TRUTH

I'll be honest: I really don't like Professor Robert Manne. Of course I don't mean this in a personal sense: I don't know the man. Rather I don't like Manne as an "intellectual" or "thinker" - no, "like" is the wrong word - I don't respect Manne's work. Although we are political 'enemies' I don't have a compulsion to read any more of Manne's essays and write critiques of them.

The reason for my lack of respect was recently given by Peter Hayes (The Weekend Australian 27-28 August 2005, p.28). Manne's stock-in-trade is to accuse his opponents of mishandling the truth, but as Hayes notes, Manne "handles the facts and sources very loosely". His work contains too many mistakes and inaccuracies for Manne's work to deliver him as "Australia's leading public intellectual".

Hayes puts it neatly: "he doesn't measure up to his reputation". Manne was as Quadrant editor regarded as a "conservative" but the causes which he supported - the stolen generation, anti-Hansonism, pro immigration and multiculturalism, etc - were anything but conservative, and were primarily Leftist causes. Appropriately enough, his recently published collection of essays is entitled "Left Right Left".
"Left, Left, Left" would have been a more accurate title.

QUEEN'S OATH UNDER ATTACK IN BRITAIN ITSELF

For years I have been warning that the powers behind Europe must remove The Crown before they can attain total supremacy over the people of Great Britain. Britain is unlike other member Nations of the European Union as its (divisible) Crown has allegiances and responsibilities outside the control of the Union with Acts of the British Parliament affecting certain elements of The Crown requiring the consent of all countries under The Crown before Assent. In a similar manner to Labor State Governments in Australia removing the Oath of Allegiance to The Queen to better facilitate their republican agenda, so is the European Union now requiring new migrants into the United Kingdom to swear 'faithfulness' to the European Union.

No doubt the Blair Government will use this opportunity to replace the Oath of Allegiance to The Queen for these people!
In 2003 the Blair Government amended the Act of Settlement to enable non-British personnel to be employed under The Crown! This requirement had been essentially included in 1701 to prevent the employment of foreign soldiers on British soil. The new Oath could well have serious consequences following this amendment. Had the French and Dutch Referendums on the European Constitution passed, undoubtedly one of the first directives would have been that national allegiances be replaced with an overriding allegiance to the Union.
The failure of the Constitution has resulted in a piecemeal implementation of this purpose, in this instance relying upon EU immigration law to which the British Parliament has made Britain totally subject.

In my Paper, "The Crown of the Commonwealth Realms", delivered earlier this year prior to the French and Dutch Referendums, my assertion that: "rejection will not create an impasse but simply an irritation" has been, proven to be only too true following the recent admission by José Manuel Barroso, President of the European Commission, that the EU is working well without a Constitution and that with the 25 Union governments all supporting the constitution (regardless of the attitudes of their peoples) they need only "pause for reflection" before proceeding to implement their structures. Indeed Senhor Barroso made this only too clear when he stated: "Instead of never-ending debates about institutions, let's work with what we've got. Political will and leadership are more important than institutions."

HERE COMES THE FLU AGAIN

At present there is an outbreak of avian flu among wild and domesticated birds in Russia. The disease is spreading west and will soon hit Europe, spreading next, it is predicted, to the Caspian and Black Seas. To date 57 people worldwide have died from the disease. Scientists fear that the avian flu virus may soon mutate and could lead to a death toll greater than the Spanish Flu which killed 40 million people. Source: The Australian 17 August 2005, p.9.

PLASTIC SHOPPING BAGS ARE THE ENVIRONMENT'S BEST FRIEND

"Do you want a bag with that?" - so sayeth the checkout girls at Adelaide supermarkets. You are made to feel guilty if you don't have a "made in China" Eco-Enviro-Greenie-Pinko bag. So I always ask for a bag!
One day I was at the well-to-do Burnside Shopping Centre after doing my cleaning job and I got that same refrain. So, I said: "Yes I want a bag, I don't give a stuff about the environment. I hope that some baby dolphin or whale chokes on the bag!"
You could have heard a pin drop in the shop. People were frozen in shock with their mouths open. I took my bag of groceries and left the shop feeling good about myself.
Shopping bags are a highly recycled item and are typically reused for packing rubbish. Biodegradable bags are much better than the hard green plastic garbage bags. The current shopping bag scam is to make profits for the stores as food prices already reflect the cost of shopping bags. Then of course one will need to buy an eco-bag and this increases profit margins further. As a humble cleaner I am pleased to report on scams as I find them!

Editor's comment: Whilst we at the League really don't want to see baby dolphins and whales 'choking on plastic bags', we believe "Len the Cleaner" has seen through the scam. When I was first pressured to buy one of their 'environmentally friendly made in China" bags, I retorted: "When I see supermarkets reduce the amount of plastic wrapping they use - which I have to responsibly dispose of - then I will give the matter some consideration!" Good on you Len, write to us again.

ISRAELI APOLOGY

It took a while but the Israeli Government eventually apologised to New Zealand for committing passport fraud. Prime Minister Helen Clark said it was not the first offence. The Israelis have done the same thing with Canada and no doubt elsewhere.
At the time of the capture and prosecution of the two Israeli agents the NZ Herald reported that the Australian Government was investigating Israeli agent activities and arrests could be expected.
So far none have happened. Could this be because unlike Clark, Prime Minister John Howard is pro-Zionist? Would a National Government have acted against the Israeli agents?

SAYING THE "UNSAYABLE"

An article on the front page of The Australian, 23 August 2005, naturally caught my eye: "Wartime Fascist Denies Targeting Jews".
The fascist is 89 year old Lajos Polgar who was a former high ranking official in Hungary's fascist World War II government. Polgar who now lives in Melbourne had been a youth leader in the "anti-semitic" Arrow Cross Party as well as being secretary to senior leader Josef Gera in the Arrow Cross Party. These connections were recently revealed by Jewish Labor MP Michael Danby and an investigation into Polgar is underway. Polgar said in an interview that the Arrow Cross Party was not anti-Semitic as at the time "everybody in Hungary was anti-Jewish". Polgar said: "After the war all the leaders were hanged, but there was not one among them who was guilty, really".
He continued: "At that time you could not do anything because everybody was in the hands of the Jews. They just hanged them. Completely, completely innocent people".

But the story gets even more interesting. The Australian of 25 August 2005, p.4 has the amazing headline: "Fraser Family Supported Veteran with Nazi Links". The article begins "Malcolm Fraser [former PM of Australia] is a long-time friend of a confessed Holocaust denier under investigation for his connections with the Nazis". Fraser's father-in-law and wife "backed his application for citizenship in 1958, despite being aware of his background".

Fraser, readers will recall, worked like a busy beaver to do his share in undermining the White South African government and the Rhodesian government. He has championed most other anti-racist politically correct causes. Malcolm Fraser has denied knowing of Polgar's links to the Arrow Cross party. Of course, he had no reason to ask his father-in-law and his wife if Polgar is right in his claim that they were "aware of his background". Of course they had no reason to inform young Mal of such minor details.

LETTER TO THE EDITOR

To the Editor, The Australian, 7th September 2005

It appears that the Australian Government has joined with the governments of the USA, Canada, Russia and Israel to write a letter to the UNO asking it to declare January 27 as an annual International Day of Commemoration in memory of the victims of the Holocaust.
This is an utterly inappropriate suggestion and it is scandalous that our Government has so proceeded without any popular mandate for its action. The nature and extent of the sufferings of Jews and others under the German Government of 1933-45 remains a profoundly controversial topic, the more so because revisionist historians who challenge the received version of events are appallingly persecuted and the world media deliberately decline to publicise and oppose that persecution.
There is also an element of hypocrisy in the letter. It proclaims an opposition to "hatred, bigotry, racism and prejudice", but all of these can be seen in the suppression of the revisionists.
Still worse is the totalitarian censorship embodied in the document. Countries are to be asked as part of the commemoration "to reject any full or partial denial of the Holocaust".
That means the sanctification of the Establishment view of World War Two and a decisive end of our traditional principle of the freedom of speech.

FREEDOM OF SPEECH R.I.P.

"Freedom of speech is dying an excruciating death. Watching it die is difficult enough, but knowing that, somehow, by my silence, I am complicit in the death, is unbearable.
One thing is certain. I cannot stand by and do nothing. I cannot stand by and watch our freedoms die. I cannot stand by in tacit silence, while what's left of our freedom wriggles and squirms and gasps for air. There has got to be a mass resuscitation. There has got to be a way to breathe life back into our Bill of Rights. We are careening down a slippery slope into a disaster, the magnitude of which nobody has ever witnessed. You know I am right, don't you? You can feel it too, can't you?

How is this happening and when did it first begin?
When did the first amendment wind up under the boot of fascism?
When did "politically correct" become synonymous with censorship?
When did the label "hate crime" become our new censoring device?
When did "critic" become synonymous with "terrorist?"
When did the ruling elite remove the word "free" from "free speech?"
All my life I have heard people question, "Why did people "follow orders" in Nazi Germany?" Look in the mirror folks. Maybe that's where the answer lies.
"Either you're with us, or you are with the terrorists." George Bush struggles to string his words into a coherent sentence.
But is it coherent?
Since when are questions and criticism verboten?
Since when is honest dialogue and discussion a crime?

Yesterday I watched a short Internet video about Ernst Zundel. The host of the show was Dr. Hesham Tillawi and his guests were Paul Fromm and Ingrid Rimland. Mr. Fromm is with the Canadian Association for Free Expression. His organization reportedly goes to bat for people accused of "thought crimes".
Ingrid Rimland is Ernst Zundel's wife and an accomplished writer of more than 6 books. She lives in Tennessee and owns, edits and controls The Zundelsite. Perhaps I should begin with a bit of background for those of you who are not familiar with Ernst Zundel. But before I begin, let me admit that no matter how much I have read, I still have difficulty making sense of Mr. Zundel's tragic story. I am still not certain why he has been languishing in prison for the past few years.

Paul Fromm explained that from 1996 - 2001, the Canadian Government was trying to get control of Internet websites in other countries with the intention of shutting down certain of the sites. Mr. Zundel, a legal resident of Canada, who was, at that point, living in the U.S., was said to be associated with one such site. The Zundelsite was run by his wife, Ingrid. The Canadian Government stated that the nature of its contents were likely to expose Jews to hate and contempt. And yet, Ernst Zundel's site was outside Canadian jurisdiction.
In February of 2003, INS agents and local sheriff deputies raided the Zundel home in Tennessee. They told Ernst that he had missed a hearing with immigration. The Zundels were taken aback. They had been awaiting notification of this hearing. There was nothing the Zundels could say or do.

And on that fateful night in 2003, handcuffs were slapped on Ernst Zundel and he was deported to Canada. (his last country of legal residence) He was imprisoned in Canada from February 16, 2003 until March 2, 2005. They called him "a threat to national security." Since September 11, 2001, Governments have changed their definition of "dissent." They are now calling it "terrorism." Ernst Zundel was anything but a terrorist. In fact, he was a pacifist who urged his supporters NOT to engage in terrorism.
In the 40 years he'd lived in Canada, he had fathered two children and had never committed a crime. But all that seemed irrelevant to the authorities. Mr. Fromm told Dr. Tillawi that the Canadian Government was under tremendous pressure from groups such as the Canadian Jewish Congress and the League For Human Rights Of B'nai Brith to deport Zundel. Canada then shipped Ernst to Germany which had a warrant out for his arrest. Germany was claiming that Zundel had used the Internet to violate Section 190 of the German Criminal Code which stated that it is an offense to "dishonor the memory of the dead." Most of the German charges had to do with postings on the Zundelsite, which was in Tennessee and owned by his wife Ingrid, a U.S. citizen.
And, to complicate matters further, the United States did not have any similar laws. This November, Ernst Zundel is scheduled to go to trial and, if committed, he could face additional prison time of 5 years. In addition, he has been banned from America for 20 years because he allegedly missed an interview with immigration; an interview of which he'd not received notification.
Ingrid Rimland explained that she cannot go to Germany to visit her husband because there is a warrant out for her arrest. The warrant is because of her website in America. This is a site that has been on the Internet for 10 years. Ernst Zundel is 66 years old and has been treated poorly in prison. In Canada he starved and froze. His health is suffering. He has been labeled a Holocaust Denier and a White Supremacist, two terms that have helped to stir up anti-Zundel sentiment. However, according to Mr. Fromm, neither label is true. Ernst does not deny the Holocaust; he is merely questioning some of the details.
Not long ago, I heard a discussion about Ernst Zundel, on National Public Radio. The members of the panel, were, in part, Jewish. They were quite blunt about their disdain for Mr. Zundel, and yet they said that he was entitled to express his views. "Nobody is asking anyone to agree with what he is saying; it is his right to speak that is the issue"

In our culture it is totally admissible to question a variety of things.
There are many people who publicly question the existence of God. There are people who write volumes insisting that Jesus Christ never existed. There are books that claim that religion is mind control and that the Bible was written by some men in order to control other men. And yet, these people are not behind bars, and well they shouldn't be. These people have been awarded the right to question history and religion. What's different about Ernst Zundel's case?
Why shouldn't historical facts be open to public scrutiny and debate?
Why isn't there a place for rational discourse?
Why are unpopular views being labeled as "terrorism?"
After all, if something is true, it will stand up under the light of careful scrutiny, won't it? Dr. Norman Finkelstein is a Jewish author of some very controversial books. In his book, "The Holocaust Industry, " Dr. Finkelstein states that many powerful Zionist groups have used the Holocaust to amass vast sums of money. He states that the Holocaust has been used for fund raising for the survivors of the Hitler's detention camps. And, he continues, the survivors never received any of the funds. Hundreds of billions of dollars have been raised for Jewish causes because of the Holocaust. Over 700 billion has come from the United States.
There is something terribly wrong with this whole tragic story. And yet, I wonder, is this only the beginning?

On the 20th of August, a chilling article appeared in The Ottawa Citizen, a Canadian newspaper. A Jewish group had filed a complaint to the University of Ottawa against economics Professor Michel Chossudovsky, who was referred to as a "controversial left-leaning economist." Chossudovsky was accused of hosting an "anti-Semitic website." The article talked about a forum that Mr. Chossudovsky moderated. It was a forum on which the Holocaust was discussed. On this forum 9/11 and possible Israeli involvement was discussed. None of the postings were written by Michel Chossudovsky and yet, under Canadian law, website owners can be liable for material they knowingly post, even if they have not produced it themselves. "I know this isn't his own writing, but he's certainly got a responsibility for the website, which, I checked, is registered in his name," said Anita Bromberg, B'nai Brith's legal counsel and human rights co-ordinator."
What will happen? I don't know. The muzzling of questions and concerns is spreading like a cancer.
The world is filled with problems which appear to be insurmountable. I don't know how to solve these problems, but one thing I do know. It is imperative that we examine all the possibilities. The solution will never come through fear and intimidation. The solution will never come through shutting people up, scaring them, threatening them and imprisoning them because they merely dared to question. We should all be questioning."
