WHOSE GOD MAY WE MOCK?

If "such lies and errors had been directed at the Quran or the Holocaust," said Archbishop Angelo Amato, the Vatican's secretary for the congregation for the doctrine of the faith, "they would have justly provoked a world uprising."
The archbishop was speaking of "The Da Vinci Code," the Ron Howard film that debuts at Cannes and opens worldwide this week, and is expected to gross $500 million by summer's end.
The archbishop's point is undeniable. Blasphemous cartoons of the Prophet with a bomb in his turban, published a few months ago in a Danish newspaper and reprinted on the front pages of Europe's major papers, ignited demonstrations in Muslim communities across Europe and violent and deadly riots across the Islamic world. Leaders friendly to the West, from Egypt to Afghanistan, felt compelled to denounce the cartoons, as did many in the West, as a provocation and insult to the faith of a billion people. In the 1990s, the British novelist Salman Rushdie spent years in hiding after Ayatollah Khomeini issued a "fatwa" calling for his killing for publishing the blasphemous "Satanic Verses." In the 1970s, the film "Muhammad," starring Anthony Quinn, was pulled from many U.S. theatres after bomb threats. The film had offended Muslim faithful by showing the face of Muhammad.

But, denying the Holocaust is verboten:
Last February, British historian David Irving, whose books on World War II have sold in the millions, was convicted in an Austrian court of Holocaust denial and sentenced to three years in prison. His crime: In two speeches in Austria in 1989, Irving asserted there were no gas chambers at Auschwitz. Though he recanted in court, it did not save him. Prosecutors felt his sentence was too light. Karen Pollock of Great Britain's Holocaust Education Trust applauded the verdict: "Holocaust denial is anti-Semitism dressed up as intellectual debate. It should be regarded as such and treated as such." In nine countries of Europe, Holocaust denial is a crime.
In the United States, to deny the Holocaust happened or suggest that it has been exaggerated is not a crime, but marks one down as a social leper. If you would know who wields cultural power, ask yourself: Whom is it impermissible to offend? Thus the hoopla attending the release of "The Da Vinci Code," based on the Dan Brown novel that has sold 7 million copies in the United States, tells us something about whose God it is permissible to mock and whose faith one is allowed to assault.

For what "The Da Vinci Code" says is that Roman Catholicism is a gigantic fraud, that the church has for centuries been perpetrating a monstrous hoax, duping hundreds of millions into believing something it knows is a bald-faced lie.
At the novel's heart lies the contention that Jesus and Mary Magdalene were married, that they had a daughter, that the Vatican has known this and been hiding the descendants of Jesus, that Opus Dei is a secret order whose agents will engage in murder to protect the secret. Leonardo da Vinci's painting "The Last Supper" is said to hold the secret, as Jesus is portrayed touching the hand of the youngest apostle, John, who holds the place of honor at his side" and who is, on close inspection, Mary Magdalene.

In Catholic teaching and tradition, the Holy Grail is the chalice that contained the blood of Jesus. In the book, the Holy Grail is Mary Magdalene, carrying the flesh and blood of Jesus in her womb. If "The Da Vinci Code" is based upon facts, no other conclusion follows than that to be a Catholic is either to be in on this fraud or to be the dupe of those perpetuating it.
But if it is fiction, why would Hollywood put out so viciously anti-Catholic a film that can only have the effect of undermining the faith of millions of Christians?
Putting "The Da Vinci Code" on film, with what it alleges about the Catholic Church, is the moral equivalent of making a movie based on the "The Protocols of the Elders of Zion" and implying this is the truth about the Jewish plot to control the world.
One imagines Ron Howard and Tom Hanks would take a pass on that script.
Like the "Hitler's Pope" smear of Pius XII, a man who did more than any other to save the Jews in World War II, "The Da Vinci Code" is a Big Lie that, though readily refuted by the facts, will be believed.
But that it will be a box-office smash, that it is the subject of lavish praise in the press, that it is the best-selling novel of the 21st century, tells us we live not just in a post-Christian era, but in an anti-Catholic culture not worth defending or saving, for it is truly satanic."

BUT WHAT OF THE CHRISTIAN HOLY BOOK?

In fairness to the Muslim people and the criticisms of their Holy Book surely it is also time Christians noticed the barge poles in their own eyes instead of merely pointing to the splinters in Muslims' eyes?
I have written about this in an article to appear in next month's New Times Survey - "Words to Ponder". In referring to the conflict in the Middle East, the Israeli converted to Christianity, Israel Shamir, makes mention of "the archaic religious content", the "archaic model of domination, genocide and enslavement" found in Judaism.
Shamir writes: "The mainstream media of the West usually presents the conflict in terms of Muslims versus Jews. But the conflict as seen by Jews, is Jews versus Gentiles. In their minds, the Temple Mount (in Jerusalem) is a magic Ring of Power, one they should assume when the time is right. As the Ring in Tolkien's Lord of the Rings (the British professor was a very learned man) it should bring forth the Messiah.) For the Jewish mystics, this Messiah is not the Christian Messiah.
In their book, the Messiah is not a gentle Jesus with a message for all mankind. Their Messiah would forever enslave the nations of the Earth and make the chosen people the masters of the universe. Their Messiah, Lord Enslaver of the People of Earth, is the AntiChrist of (Christian) prophecies…."

The Christian reader will not like this:
Now where are we Gentiles to look for "this archaic model of domination, genocide and enslavement" which "calls for archaic religious content"? For those who have eyes to see need look no further than that portion of the Bible known as the Old Testament in which can be found the "archaic model of domination, genocide and enslavement" which is 'wrapped up' in mystical "archaic religious content".

Douglas Reed, one Gentile who displayed his moral courage through his writings, also warned his people of what was happening in their midst. In "The Controversy of Zion"[1] he took his readers back to the beginnings of this affair, back to 458BC. It was there that the petty Palestinian tribe of Judah (earlier disowned by the Israelites) produced a racial creed: this was the day on which the theory of the master-race was set up as "The Law".
Douglas Reed writes:
"Deuteronomy is to formal Judaism and Zionism what the Communist Manifesto was to the destructive revolution of our (20th) century. It is the basis of the Torah ("the Law") contained in the Pentateuch, which itself forms the raw material of the Talmud, which again gave birth to those "commentaries" and commentaries-on-commentaries which together constitute the Judaic "law".
Deuteronomy is also the basis of the political programme, of worldly dominion over nations despoiled and enslaved, which has been largely realized in the West during the Twentieth Century. Deuteronomy is of direct relevancy to the events of our day, and much of the confusion surrounding them disperses if they are studied in its light."

Douglas Reed explains how the confusion came about:
"Another paradox in the story of Zion is that in our generation Christian divines and theologians often insist that 'Jesus was a Jew', whereas the Judaist elders refuse to allow this (those Zionist rabbis who occasionally tell political or 'interfaith' audiences that Jesus was a Jew are not true exceptions to this rule; they would not make the statement among Jews and seek to produce an effect among their non-Jewish listeners, for political reasons)." One law for the sinner and another for God's 'chosen':
It has been my experience these judaized Christian divines have one law for us miserable sinners but have a different standard of measurement for God's 'chosen'. When questioned about the Israelis' treatment of the Palestinians, they apply a different standard of conduct because "the Jews are God's chosen people"! Silly me! I thought we were all saved by Grace not by race!

And what about that sad, paradoxical figure - the "judaized" westerner?
They can be seen swanning around the world as they fawn over and are feted by the rich and powerful. Professor Kevin MacDonald writes about these sad, pathetic creatures in "The Conservatism of Fools" (The New Times Survey May, 2006. $3.00 posted).
These are the westerners who betray their own people as they push the agenda set out for the New World Order. They are in fact, anti their own nation - globalization - anti their own culture - multiculturalism - and anti their own race - floods of alien immigrants.

"LET'S NUKE IRAN AND MAKE THE TERRORISTS GLOW!"

Is this correct: Osama and the boys live in Iran and work at a nuclear weapon's facility making bombs that will soon be launched in Muslim missiles on Israel and New York? Now have I got the neocon story right or have I messed up the buzz words? Iraq was invaded because Saddam Hussein was involved in 9/11 and had weapons of mass destruction. Today even the Bush administration admits that this is not so. Saddam was a bad anti-democratic guy who had to go so that Iraq could have democracy and McDonalds - and the US lots of oil.
Yes, they were right that Saddam was a tyrant. But today Iraq totters on the brink of civil war and genuine democracy seems as remote a possibility of achieving in Iraq as it does achieving in the US or Australia.
The neocons are concerned about a nuclear Iran and an "undemocratic Iran". Now wait a moment. The current president Mahmood Ahmadi-Najad may say nasty things about Jews and terrible things about the Holocaust, but he is still an elected leader, however "extremist".
Iran's system is superior to most other systems in the Arab world, about which Americans never complain. Most Arab leaders are also anti-semitic.
It is a strange double standard. It is also a strange double standard for the US to reward nation like Pakistan - which transferred nuclear technology to North Korea - yet punish Iran for wanting the bomb. Israel raised its finger to international restrictions on nuclear weapons for the "real politics" reason of national security. From their perspective that made sense. Jewish academic and military historian Professor Martin van Creveld has said on this general issue:
"Obviously, we [Israeli's] don't want Iran to have a nuclear weapon, and I don't know if they are developing them, but if they're not developing them, they're crazy."

In my opinion it is dangerous for any nation to have nuclear weapons, but today, thanks to Albert Einstein and others of his ilk, the nuclear demon is out of the atom. The same arguments used to justify the invasion of Iraq are now being used by neocons to justify a proposed invasion - or more likely - strategic nuclear attack on Iran. All of the past failures have been forgotten. Use of nuclear weapons on Arabs will be a disaster for it will truly be the symbolic attack that unites the Arab world, even more against the West.
All I can say, with a sigh, is that they don't call themselves neocons for nothing. The slimiest used car salesman has nothing on these guys. At least he doesn't shoot himself in the foot!

THE MELANESIAN MELTDOWN

Australian-led security forces have brought an uneasy peace to the Solomon Islands. Under heavy guard, over 300 Chinese-born migrants were evacuated after their businesses were targeted in Honiara. In media commentary on the rioting Greg Sheridan, Foreign Editor for The Australian, 20/4/06, p.12 wrote an insightful article entitled simply: "Melanesia is a Huge Disaster."
The violence he said is part of a "profound, civilisation-wide crisis that shows no serious sign of improvement." Sheridan admitted that "introducing democracy in cultures that aren't accustomed to it is gruesomely difficult."

Australia is alone in facing that crisis and helping to deal with it. Melanesia contains 7 million people with one of the highest population growth rates in the world; it has epidemic AIDS and other sexually transmitted disease rates. And, surprise, surprise, it is all coming our way: "In the end, Canberra will pay for and cope with their problems: disease, crime, eventual immigration, legal or illegal to Australia; aid bills; penetration of organised crime: gun, drug and people smuggling and much more." And much more? What other horrors lay in store for us? The joys of globalism!

A tribal society has been forced to play the game of civilised, multicultural modernity - and it doesn't work. Sheridan himself concludes: "There are no solutions. Nothing works. Yet ultimate failure is not an option." A wrong turn has been taken; the ideology of multiracial cosmopolitanism is a failure.

AND THE MELANESIAN SOCIAL CREDIT GROUP AND PARTY

On Target has received a report from the social credit group in the Solomon Islands.
They write that at the recent elections the "Solomons Social Credit Party (SoCred Party) garnered three (3) seats contested by its official candidates with additional five (5) seats contested by its financial members as independents."
They continue: In lieu of what is happening now in the country, "we at the National Executive Council [NEC] of SoCred Party in co-ordination with our own people's oriented non-governmental organisation, the Grassroots Network for Good Governance Trust Board Incorporated planned to hold several workshops in Honiara and key urban centres of nine (9) islands provinces to educate the people as to the policies of the SoCred Party with a combination of 'debt-free sovereign credit' and national system economics", which they see as the only way forward for the country to recover economically.
The plan is to hold at least five (5) workshops for the general public in Honiara and another nine (9) workshops [one for each islands' provinces] in the provinces and are appealing for funds towards their costs. They are planning to hold the workshops "between 2nd May 2006 to 30th June 2006 and for the general public to petition their own constituency's Member of National Parliament to either directly join our SoCred Party or support our policies on social credit, debt free sovereign credit and national system economics for the benefit of Solomon Islands and to avoid its economic collapse."
They write: "To remove any colours of politics on these proposed workshops, it will be sponsored by the Grassroots Network for Good Governance Trust Board Incorporated who have more than 5,000 members from the rural areas throughout the Solomon Islands. It's only a pity that most [if not all] of our members are poor and they can't afford to contribute a single cent to cover the cost of our planned workshops."

ASIANISATION AND FOREIGN WORK VISAS

The newspapers are awash with the 'joys' that foreign workers and students allegedly bring to Australia. Take The Adelaide Advertiser 20/40/06, proclaims "Students Pour $20M into the Economy".
Over the past ten years the number of international students enrolling in public schools in South Australia has increased by almost 500 per cent. (I may be a humble cleaner but I can do my sums!) Apparently the schools receive 70 per cent of their tuition fees. But the schools are not the richer for this - rather the fees are making up for government cutbacks in the funding of public schools.
Over the past ten years the cutbacks have resulted in these schools becoming virtual war zones and social disaster areas. Teachers are regularly bashed, discipline is lacking and students have become increasingly 'feral'.
Instead of pursuing the cult of sucking-up to the foreign and hating the local, governments should have cleaned up our own education nest. In the long term, given the present state of decay the international cash cows may, one day, not turn up for milking.

The arbitrary nature of Australia's immigration programme is well illustrated by recent events. Immigration Minister Amanda Vanstone has rejected further increases in Australia's skilled migration rate even though the dark lords of big business have been lobbying hard for more cheap skilled labour.
Indications are the big business lords will get their way towards the end of the next financial year. Now however there will be an increase in migrant spouse visas.
According to Amanda: "Cupid's arrow (is) out and flying around" (The Australian 2/5/06). God help us!
Opposition Leader Kim Beazley has said that he will abolish foreign trade worker visas, saying that they deprive Australians of training and jobs. The Trade Skills Training Visa scheme gave jobs to largely unskilled migrants rather than to young Australians. According to The Advertiser, Beazley said to them at a meeting in Adelaide, "Immigration must not be at the expense of opportunities for young Australians."
He continued: "The foreign apprenticeship visas are pitched at regional areas across Australia, where as many as one in three young Australians are unemployed. Instead of helping these young Australians into work, Mr. Howard is making it harder for them by encouraging employers to hire foreign apprentices instead."

Non-Whites Only Please! These migration schemes primarily operate to increase the number of non-White migrants to Australia. Thus we have cases such as where a highly skilled Norwegian associate professor in applied mathematics and reservoir engineering, and his family, is being forced to leave Australia and return to Norway. (The Advertiser, 21/4/06, p.15) The conclusion is inescapable " they don't want Nordic migrants anymore - they want Asians and Africans.

ANOTHER BULL IN THE PADDOCK?

Statistics show that about 30 per cent of men who undergo a paternity test discover that they have been cuckolded: deceptively raising someone else's child. (The Australian 18/4/06 p.3)
Before the Full bench of the High Court is the case of a Victorian father Liam Magill who is claiming he was deceived into paying tens of thousands of dollars to an unfaithful wife who had two children by another man (men?). (The Australian 20/4/06, p.1)
In a rare situation, including judicial comment on an on-going case, one High Court judge - the ever politically correct justice Michael Kirby - said that the case would open a "Pandora's box" as the law of deceit could be used by people who are emotionally wounded: "We know that in the family law situation, it is not just an ordinary case about money, it is often a case that involves a lot of emotion."

Well, so what! When men through property settlements are ruined and end up living in poverty ( I know of many cases personally) there is a lot of emotion there by gleeful ex-wives. What is Kirby proposing? That injustices based upon deception be allowed?
That is the logical conclusion of his comments - obviously made to test public reaction. If paternity fraud is rife then there is more reason, not less to give justice to men. But let me have a gentlemen's bet with you. In my opinion the politically correct High Court will decide against Mr. Magill. They will say that the law of deceit applies to commercial matters and that this matter is personal.
If that is what they decide - in accordance with Kirby's position - it would be a flawed decision that discriminates against men, contrary to statute law. We - long suffering men of Australia - await the judgement with interest.
