7 December 2007 Thought for the Week:
(Neo)-Communism defined: "Many people find it extremely
difficult to form any clear and coherent idea of Communism and what
it really means
Major-General Van den Bergh described it as
"the highest form of capitalism."
Some people think of Communism as a theory of government, a political
theory invented by Karl Marx. They see it as someone's honest belief
about how to reform the world and so forth.
My own definition - and I speak of the power sources
of Communism not its surface manifestations - is that Communism
is "financial power of the highest order of magnitude and concentration
of control."
There is, after all, a capitalism which we mean to defend, the capitalism
of free enterprise that liberates all the energies of invention
and labour.
(Neo-)Communism, therefore, is not capitalism as we understand it;
it is the diseased condition into which capitalism can pass; it
is an end state, it tells us what must happen when money is allowed
to govern itself instead of being governed."

THE FRUIT OF NEO-COMMUNISM
by Edward Rock
Patrick O'Shea's article on Grain Trading (O.T. 16/11/07) is
surely a classis example of the sheer perversion of God's will concerning
the supplying of man's needs.
This perversion has become so diabolical
it has resulted in a suicide rate among Australians farmers now running
at an estimated four per day. That figure was given by Rev. Greg Jones
of Bush Church Aid in St. George's Church, Wonthagi, where I worship
each Sunday on November 4th.
He told how many Christian pastors in rural
Australia have become so depressed and feel so hopeless at the plight
of their rural populations that many of them will not venture from
their rectories and parsonages to bring any word of comfort to members
of the farming community, knowing many of them are on the verge of
bankruptcy, or suicide.
The Just Price and the National Dividend
After the service I said to Rev. Jones: "If Australia's money supply
was created free of debt, and distributed as an act of grace in the
form of an unearned dividend to every Australian citizen in accordance
with God's will, there would be no suicide rate, and no depressed
Christian ministers."
He stopped what he was doing and turned
and looked at me like a man momentarily stunned, then hesitatingly
responded: "I think you might be right."
Distinguishing between good and evil:
Later I had the opportunity to point out to him the only reason Christian
rural ministers were depressed was because they had never been taught
that they, under Christ, are his sole authority on how money must
be created and distributed; that it is not the responsibility of economists,
politicians, or the academic secularists who infest our educational
institutions.
The responsibility rests with those who undertake
to teach the difference between good and evil in all things in order
that God's will may be done on earth. I think I caught his attention,
but will have to wait and see if anything fruitful eventuates.
Social crediters have been offering the truth
about the creation and distribution of money to the Christian Church
at least since the life-time of C.H. Douglas, and always the offer
has been rejected - from the top where the head of the fish always
rots first!
Many Social Crediters believe the reason for the rejection lies in
that oft repeated phrase which occurs throughout the New Testament:
"For fear of the Jews."
While there is a mountain of evidence supporting that view, in reality
it is a denial of the only reason Christ was sent from heaven to earth
to carry out the will of the Father in heaven. I would be the last
to deny there is a Jewish problem in the world today, and it may be
true the Christian Church today is still fearful of the Jews, as were
the Jewish people of their own leaders during Christ's ministry on
earth.
But the basic absolute truth today, as a result of Christ's ministry,
is there is no such thing as a Jewish problem, only a Christian
problem.
The Pharisees of today are fearful - with a fear far outweighing that
of those that fear them. May the Christian Church finally realise
the problem lies in not obeying the command: "Ask, and it shall be
given unto you."
In asking our political leaders, we are asking
the wrong people: Politics sprang from Christianity, not vice versa.
We should be asking our Christian leaders to never cease telling our
political leaders to implement the creation and distribution of money
free of debt.
And we should implement the simple political pressure Christ outlined
in the parable about the lady in Luke 18: 1,8, and never cease asking
and goading our Christian leaders until they pluck up the courage
and conviction to never cease insisting to our political leaders it
is the will of God that all money be created and distributed free
of debt. In doing so, they would elevate the authority of Christ over
the power of mammon.
In introducing His parable concerning the above
lady, Christ said: "Men should pray, rather than faint." If the prayer
requests are right, what is received shall also be right. "It is my
will that the will of my disciples shall be one with my will." Continue
to pray this may be so. |
THE ELECTION CAMPAIGN
by Betty Luks
One good result: according to the latest figures coming in, the Labor
Party will not have control of the Senate. At the last count it was
the Liberal/Coalition with 37 seats the Labor Party 32 seats, the
Greens 5 seats, Family First (Vic) one and Nick Xenophon (S.A) one
seat.
While we await the final figures, and those who won the fruits of
office set themselves up to wield political power, let us look at
what the headlines tell us about both main contenders.
Labor: There have been murmurs and commitments
from PM elect Kevin Rudd on: A referendum on a republic; a "Sorry"
message to the 'Stolen Generation', which, we are assured, will lead
to a reconciliation, and a separate Aboriginal treaty. While he is
busy doing these things he will also sign the Kyoto Agreement. What
with the United Nations push for 'Indigenous Rights' and a separate
'Treaty' for Aboriginals, Mr. Rudd is placing Australians further
and further under the control of the United Nations and taking the
peoples' rights away from them.
Liberals: They were busy licking their
wounds for a while after the trouncing they received at the polls.
There has been speculation that some of the high profilers may not
see their parliamentary term out before heading for greener pastures.
What are the chances that Alexander Downer will head off overseas,
maybe to the United Nations from whence he came? As for Costello,
the early word is he might be scooped up by the banking system. The
new Leader of the Opposition, Dr. Brendan Nelson, has declared himself
a Constitutional Monarchist. He was elected Leader by the Liberal
Party at its first meeting after the election on 24 November 2007.
Xenophon has promised to "work his guts
out" for SA
As for South Australia's newest Independent Senator Nick Xenophon,
the very next day after the elections he flew to the Riverland of
South Australia to consult with the beleaguered growers desperate
for water for their trees and crops. Many have mortgaged their homes
up to the hilt so as to buy extra water during this time of drought.
Xenophon has called for urgent action by Rudd for these people, along
with long-term plans for sustainable water supplies to ensure their
future viability. |
THE WRECKING BALL OF GLOBALISATION
by James Reed
Tony Judt has penned an interesting review of Robert Reich's latest
book, "SuperCapitalism," 2007), a celebration of globalisation. (Tony
Judt, "The Wrecking Ball of Innovation," The New York Review of
Books 6 December, 2007).
Although Reich celebrates "SuperCapitalism," Judt notes that "the
facts he amasses appear to point to an incipient collapse of the core
values and institutions of the republic."
In other words, corporate greed is finishing off America by destroying
social capital. Judt says: "Fear is re-emerging as an active ingredient
of political life in Western democracies. Fear of terrorism, of course,
but also, and perhaps more insidiously, fear of the uncontrollable
speed of change, fear of loss of employment, fear of losing ground
to others in an unequal distribution of resources, fear of losing
control of the circumstances and routines of one's daily life.
And, perhaps above all, fear that it is just
not we who can no longer shape our lives but those in authority have
lost control as well, to forces beyond their reach."
Judt does not say what these 'forces' are, but social credit writers
have adequately characterised the foe: the Satanic Forces of International
Finance, who, behind the scenes, control the wrecking ball of globalisation.

THE UNLUCKY COUNTRY
by James Reed
While the boring election went oozing along, the 'intellectuals' were
hot in debate. Paul Kelly of The Australian got the debate
bubbling along with a piece entitled "Time For a Rethink" (cover title
"The Lucky Country") in The Australian Literary Review 3/10/07).
His thesis is summed up in his sentence: "The
moral vanity of Australia's intellectual class has led it into a political
dead end." Tut-tut, public intellectuals have not given credit to
the economic progress made in Australia.
As Kelly puts it, on the economy and immigration "there's been a lot
of continuity between Hawke and Keating on the one hand and Howard
on the other." How right Kelly is! All of them are globalists and
have worked against the real national interests of Australia. Likewise,
the politically correct intellectuals criticised by Kelly have generally
followed the same road, but perhaps with more emphasis on cultural
affairs.
This is another uninteresting family dispute
within the globalist ranks. The aim of our movement is to call into
question all of the unstated - and stated - philosophical underpinnings
of their common position. |
DOCTORS QUESTION FLOURIDATION OF WATER SUPPLIES
by Don Auchterlonie
The Gippsland Safe Water Alliance notes that the 100% support
for Fluoridation by doctors is no longer the case. Glen Bermoth writing
in The Standard (19/11/07) said: "Twenty one south-west doctors have
signed an anti-fluoride petition arguing that it is 'imprudent' to
add the chemical to public water supplies." All but one doctor practices
in Warnambool, Victoria.
In their letter addressed to the Department
of Human Services' chief health officer John Carnie they said they
opposed the planned fluoridation of Warnambool, Geelong and Ballarat
water supplies. "We feel that it is imprudent to initiate further
fluoridation of public water supplies until such time as modern data
can either substantiate or refute the alleged benefits and the safety
or otherwise is established."
Effect of fluoride on tissues of the human
body:
"The practice of public water fluoridation pre-dates much of the scientific
data that is coming through in recent years. The current scientific
interest in the effect of fluoride on tissues other than teeth is
also raising questions on safety that have not been previously addressed
and may need further studies and time to validate."
Dr Natalie Ryan, who presented The Standard
with the petition, said the 21 signatures were secured within one
week and there were probably more to come. "I think the response is
quite powerful," she said, "all the doctors are doctors who have looked
at the issue a bit more closely.''
A spokesman for the Gippsland Safe Water Alliance said they are encouraged
that doctors are starting to question fluoridation of water supplies.

THE NEW YORK TIMES AND RACIAL DIFFERENCES
by Brian Simpson
Lawrence Auster's excellent "View From the Right"" website, which
reports from a traditionalist politically incorrect position, reports
that a New York Times article "has virtually admitted that
there are inherited racial differences in intellectual abilities."
The article is by Amy Harmon and she says that
"the consequences of science
may eventually reveal appreciable differences
between races in the genes that influence socially important traits."
Further, she says, liberals "argue that accepting that there may be
genetic differences between races is important in preparing to address
them politically."
As Auster rightly observes, the "real problem
for liberalism is not that recognition of race differences in intelligence
would lead to renewed irrational White prejudice; the real problem
for liberalism is that the recognition of race differences would destroy
the liberal belief that all races should have equal intellectual and
economic outcomes, which in turn would lead to the demise of the liberal
indictment of supposed White racism as the supposed cause of those
inequalities."
Slowly, the intellectual idols of the new world
order are cracking and we expect that in the foreseeable future, the
entire edifice will topple.

OH, NO! NOT THE ISRAEL LOBBY!
by Peter Ewer
U.S. academics John Mearsheimer and Stephen Walt, greatly upset the
ultra powerful "Israel Lobby" by publishing an expose of Jewish power
in the March 2006 London Review of Books. The U.S. magazine
The Atlantic Monthly had originally commissioned the piece
but ultimately dropped this "hot potato." Naturally enough the academics
were smeared with the stain of 'anti-Semitism'.
According to one Jewish critic even talking
about a Zionist Lobby was immoral because a "second Holocaust" against
the Jews was immanent (Source: Antony Loewenstein, The Australian
Literary Review (7/11/07).
Their new book "The Israel Lobby and US Foreign
Policy" has received the same treatment. It has been compared with
a Judaeocentric conspiracy view of the world held today by Osama bin
Laden. Critics have asked for proof that the Israel Lobby has a stranglehold
on the US Congress and have taken the authors to task for not interviewing
influential members of the "Israel Lobby" - as if proof by journalism
is the only way of establishing a truth.
What is detailed in the book is a historical-scientific
theory to make sense of the US's continual support of Israel, arguably,
against its own interests. The idea of a power elite controlling Congress
is an empirically testable hypothesis that the authors show, make
sense of the otherwise seeming-less mess of US Middle East policy.
Equating "The Israel Lobby and US Foreign Policy"
with the crass anti-Semitism of Osama bin Laden, is just a debating
trick of a rather cheap kind. The central thesis of Mearsheimer and
Walt remains intact. |
WHY AM I NOT SURPRISED TO READ THIS ABOUT
GORE?
asks Betty Luks
Gore Cashing in on $6T Energy Business Source, Newsmax Online.
21/11/07:
Former vice president and environmental activist Al Gore is joining
forces with a venture capital company that's seeking to profit from
the move toward "clean technology" in the $6 trillion global energy
business.
Gore is becoming a hands-on partner at Kleiner Perkins Caufield &
Byers, a major Silicon Valley venture capital firm where an old friend,
John Doerr, is a partner.
The move comes as the company "makes a risky move beyond information
technology and healthcare investing into the fast-growing and increasingly
competitive arena of 'clean energy,'" Fortune magazine reports.
Within several years more than a third of Kleiner's
latest fund, which totals $600 million, will reportedly be invested
in technologies that seek to reduce carbon dioxide emissions. Among
the companies the fund has already invested in are firms that make
microbes to scrub old oil wells, build large-scale solar-power farms,
develop solid-oxide fuel cells, and design equipment for use in electric
car batteries. Doerr, meanwhile, will join the advisory board of Generation
Investment Management, the $1 billion investment company Gore began
three years ago with David Blood, former head of Goldman Sachs Asset
Management, to invest in environmentally friendly companies.
Gore, along with Doerr and Blood, insist that
halting global warming will require "a makeover of the $6 trillion
global energy business," according to Fortune. "Coal plants, gas stations,
the internal-combustion engine, petrochemicals, plastic bags, even
bottled water will have to give way to clean, green, sustainable technologies."
Asked why he is combining his environmental
advocacy work with profit motives, Gore - who is already an advisor
to Google and a director at Apple Inc. - told Fortune: "We
all believe the market must play a central role."
Mr. Gore's approach is proving to be based
on vested interests. Is it 'An Inconvenient Truth' or 'A Convenient
Lie'? |
CHINA'S GENOCIDE OF TIBET
by James Reed
Under the regime of Asian citizen Comrad Rudd, it may well be that
our media culture will voluntarily 'tighten' even further, with the
new culture and the small whispers of criticism of the great god,
China, stilled.
For the record, it was interesting to
read "Murder at 6.00am," in The Advertiser Review (10/11/07)
which reported on how the Chinese deal with the Tibetan refugee problem.
An eye-witness took the enormous risk of video-taping
the Chinese Peoples' Armed Police shooting down masses of Tibetan
refugees fleeing the Nepalese border. Such is the real face of our
beloved trading partner.
The Dalai Lama said this year that Chinese migration was undermining
Tibetan autonomy. China was using a railway link "to flood Tibet with
beggars, prostitutes and the unemployed, destroying its culture and
traditions." For our kow-towing academic elites, even the Dalai Lama
would be seen as a "racial extremist". |
VILIFYING GOD
by James Reed
On the market at the moment, if you search the web through amazon.com
you will find a mountain of 'new atheist' books. It is difficult to
keep up with the output of them, let alone refute them!
Even Phillip Adams has a collection of essays attacking God, well
at least the Christian concept of God. I flipped through the offerings
recently at a city book shop and I couldn't find anything critical
of Judaism.
Michael Onfray is braver or more critical than
Adams and has published "The Atheist Manifesto: The Case Against Christianity,
Judaism and Islam" with Melbourne University Press.
The take-home message of all of these books
from Adams to Dawkins to Onfray seems to be that all of the world's
problems are due to religion. Seldom have these writers considered
that atheistic political movements - Nazism and Communism - have led
to more human misery than the alleged misery of all religions and
faiths combined.
Reading these atheist texts I detect an anger
and zealotry as great, or greater, than the sins that these atheists
condemn. I fear that they are closet theists, believing in that great
illusion of the divinity of humanism. When will they ever learn
when
will they ever.... |
ANYTHING FOR A WAR? CLAIM BUSH INVOLVED IN
CIA 'LEAK' CASE
BBC News: Wednesday, 21 November 2007:
What is the CIA leak case about? It was claimed CIA agent Valerie
Plame's identity was spitefully 'leaked' to the press by White House
aid Lewis 'Scooter' Libby.
Plame maintained her cover had been blown after her husband, Joseph
Wilson, a former ambassador, said the Bush administration had manipulated
intelligence on Iraq to back its case for war. The following alleged
cover-up, rather than the leak itself, was the subject of a Libby
trial.
Libby was found guilty of lying to the FBI
and a grand jury over revelations about CIA agent Valerie Plame's
identity A former White House press secretary, Scott McClellan, is
now claiming the US president was involved in misinforming the public
over the leaking of a CIA agent's identity.
In an excerpt from his forthcoming book, Scott
McClellan says George W Bush helped mislead the public over the role
in the affair of two White House aides. Mr McClellan's book is not
scheduled for publication until April next year and the excerpt released
was brief. It refers to a White House press conference he attended
in 2003.
At the conference, Mr McClellan told journalists that the two aides
Karl Rove and Lewis "Scooter" Libby were "not involved" in leaking
Ms Plame's identity. The excerpt reads:
"There was one problem. It was not true."
"I had unknowingly passed along false information.
And five of the highest ranking officials in the administration were
involved in my doing so: Rove, Libby, the vice-president, the president's
chief of staff, and the president himself."
Mr McClellan, who served as press secretary from 2003 to 2006, has
made no further comment on the excerpt. |
LETTER TO THE PRESS
To the Editor, The Australian,
22 November 2007:
You are to be commended for the magnanimous and fair-minded coverage
of the death of former Rhodesian Prime Minister Ian Smith ('Pariah
state won't shed tears for Smith' and 'Open door policy of a so-called
racist', 22/11).
However, the claim that 'the world refused to recognise Rhodesia'
and 'regarded his administration as racist and white supremacist'
is misleading. It is certainly true that independent Rhodesia was
opposed after UDI in 1965 by a remarkably unanimous coalition of the
nations of the world and the UN, but to what extent this coalition
was representative of the people of the world is very debatable.
Also, more of the context needs to be understood. The disgraceful
behaviour of the UN in the early 1960's towards the breakaway province
of Katanga in the Belgian Congo and its moderate leader Moise Tshombe
convinced the majority of white Rhodesians that UDI was the only way
to protect their way of life from corruption and brutality.
Extraordinary efforts were made behind the scenes to achieve the collapse
of white rule in southern Africa at the time. There was the Spinola
coup in Portugal in 1974, which was partly enabled by worldwide reporting
of a huge massacre of Africans in Portuguese Mozambique at Wiriyamu
- a story which proved to be a total fabrication.
There was the BBC's showing of an anti-Rhodesian film alleging mistreatment
of Africans which was soon identified as footage from Kenya because
of the camels in it.
There was American pressure applied through Henry Kissinger's threatening
visit to South Africa.
And there was the regrettable refusal of the IOC to allow a multi-racial
Rhodesian team to compete at the Munich Olympic Games.
Finally there was the extraordinarily ignorant support given around
the world for Mugabe and Nkomo, already known to be ruthless thugs
tainted with communism, by masses of Christians led by the World Council
of Churches.
Ian Smith's Rhodesia was not brought down by Rhodesians (of any race)
but by a coalition of powers outside it; and now that we see the results
of that campaign in Mugabe's atrocious tyranny, we are entitled to
ask why and in whose interests it took place.

GREAT GIFT IDEAS - NOW'S THE TIME TO STOCK
UP FOR YOUR HOLIDAY READING! WHAT IS BEHIND
THE PUSH TO CONTROL OUR RIVERS AND WATERS?
Australians are allowing the ruling elite to
obtain more and more power and control - without much protest. What
of the plan to give international corporations the power to control
our rivers and waters? Surely this is a most dangerous move along
the rocky road to tyranny. For us to accept the idea that water should
be a commodity to be bought and sold 'on the market' reveals we haven't
learnt much from past history. We don't need to go too far back, we
can learn from the American experience in the 19th century. Authors
Alan Snitow and Deborah Kaufman have written of those experiences
in:
"Thirst: Fighting the Corporate Theft of Our Water" by Alan Snitow
and Deborah Kaufman. Price $47.00 posted.
In the late 19th century, US entrepreneurs promised clean, bountiful,
reasonably priced water supplies'. What did the people get? Across
the country the pattern was repeated: private water management often
meant leaky pipes, pollution and disease.
In New York City, Aaron Burr's early-nineteenth-century Manhattan
Company (later to become Chase Manhattan Bank) was one of the most
corrupt, incompetent, and disastrous experiments in water privation
on record.
As the city grew, access to clean drinking water was uncertain at
best. People drank beer rather than risk disease and death from fetid
waters. Some customers received no water at all, and many fire hydrants
failed to work.
It took the devastating cholera epidemic in 1832 and the Great Fire
of 1835 to push the devastated commercial centre of the United States
into taking its water future into its own hands. Citizens demanded
and eventually won modern public water systems, financed through bonds,
and operated by reliable engineers and experts, and accountable to
local governments!
