2008 Thought for the Week: "Britain adopted the
beginnings of a new theory of life completely alien to her genius - the conception
of the country as a single factory having many departments, the head office and
central control-room being the Bank of 'England'." "My generation
has seen the decay of ordinary morality, standards of decency, sportsmanship,
politeness, respect for the law, family values, politics and education and religion,
the very character of the British.... Indeed, there may never have been such an
enslaved generation, in thrall to hang-ups, taboos, restrictions and oppressions
unknown to their ancestors (to say nothing of being knee-deep in debt, thanks
to the moneylender's economy)."
Give thanks for the land of your birth, there is still
none better. Australia Day Australians are a funny lot, you'll often hear one curse, How things have started badly, and they'll probably get worse, The weathers dry, the sun's so hot it's stolen all the water, The Government has never done the things we think they oughta'.
But if we hear a tourist say his home is much more grand, They had better be prepared to make a very solid stand. For although we Aussies may complain at what's become our lot, When someone knocks this country, we defend with all we've got.
We may criticize some teenage brat, may even wish them failure, But we stand behind them cheering when they're playing for Australia. Because, if this is home to you, the country of your birth, Then you back the native player to beat anyone on Earth.
When the cricket bats are swinging or when someone scores a try, When a home grown horse has won the cup and made the owner cry, When some paralympic athlete hits the front and sets the pace, You'll hear "Aussie Aussie Aussie" as the crowd goes off their face.
And although we like to take a break in overseas locations, If you take the time to question this nomadic population, They will tell you without blinking that wherever they may roam, The best part of the journey was the last bit, ....coming home.
For the sun was never brighter on the beach at Waikiki, Than it is on all the sandy shores Australia has to see, The water never purer nor the air as fresh and clear, The people never friendlier than those that we have here.
If you venture to the outback where grass is scarce as snow, As you swelter you may wonder what it was that made you go, But just look at the locals who have lived there since their birth, And I know you will not find a better class of folk on earth.
All across this wide brown country from the Cape to Hobart town, There are people who will help you when you find the chips are down, And if someone should abuse you, and does it just because, Then that person's not Australian, and that person never was.
So when you feel disgruntled just remember this rendition, And never blame the country for the acts of politicians, Look up and count your blessings when you see our flag unfurled, And be grateful that you live in the best country in the world. Australia Day 26th January 2008 |
'MARKET SLIDE CONTINUES' - THE CRUNCH COMESfrom
Jeremy Lee The answer lies in true Social Credit (as opposed to social debt); but what agonies we must endure, before the world finally confronts the banks and the debt crisis, is anyone's guess! |
WHERE DID THE $100 BILLION GO?by Betty Luks Now one wonders what the ordinary worker would have done had he realised that when he was legally forced into a Superannuation Fund scheme by Paul Keating's Labor government it would be used by the investment managers for a form of gambling. I would think he would have wanted something more concrete than that! But then, the ordinary worker is so ignorant of the concocted myths and fables woven around this mysterious world of 'money'. What
'form' did this 100 billion of Australian dollars take? Another
question they could have asked: For
those readers who would honestly like to 'get their minds around' this thing called
'money' and what should be its true role in any just and realistic sense, we recommend
they seriously study the works of Clifford Hugh Douglas, Eric D. Butler and Jeremy
W. Lee. For
those who just want to think about what is the true purpose of a money system
the series of booklets "Introducing Social Credit" is to be recommended. |

IF POLAR BEARS CAN SURVIVE -- WHAT'S THE PROBLEM?A new fossil find shows that Polar Bears have been around for well over 100,000 years, placing them in the Eemian Interglacial period (135 to 115k BP). During that time, temperatures were significantly warmer than at present (+5OC). And clearly they survived those temperatures. It sounds as though forecasts of their imminent extinction may be a bit premature. Quaternary geologist Professor
Dr. Olafur Ingolfsson of the University of Iceland discovered the new fossil.
He says "The polar bear is basically a brown bear that decided some time ago that
it would be easier to feed on seals on the ice. So long as there are seals, there
are going to be polar bears. I think the threat to the polar bears is much more
to do with pollution, the build up of heavy metals in the Arctic ". |
WHILE WE'RE ON THE SUBJECT OF 'CLIMATE CHANGE'While the
rest of Europe is debating the prospects of global warming during an unseasonably
mild winter, a brutal cold snap is raging across the semi-autonomous nation of
Greenland. 'The ice is up to 50cm thick,' said Henrik Matthiesen, an employee at Denmark's Meteorological Institute who has also sailed the Greenlandic coastline for the Royal Arctic Line. 'We've had loads of northerly winds since Christmas which has made the area miserably cold.' Matthiesen suggested the cold weather
marked a return to the frigid temperatures common a decade ago. Temperatures plunged
to -25°C earlier this month, clogging the bay with ice and making shipping impossible
for small crafts, according to Anthon Frederiksen, the mayor of the town of Ilulissat,
where Disko Bay is located. Although Greenland's capital, Nuuk, and much of the island saw temperatures drop below -25° C yesterday, milder temperatures appeared to be on the way in the near future. |
A MUSCLE-BOUND NEW WORLD ORDER GUYby James Reed Thus in the 'land of the free', "Mom and
Dad" as well as "husband and wife" have been banned from Californian schools.
As the Californian market is the largest US State market, this means that US textbooks
will tend to reflect this trend as publishers will not print separate Californian
books. The champions of the New World Order have the right man for the job: Arnie's most noted role was playing a mindless programmed robot in the Terminator movies. Some may say that he is still playing that role as the "Governator"! |
THE MYTH OF RACIST SLAVERYby
James Reed In the United States, black slavery is the big politically correct stick used to smack naughty White nationalists. It is the equivalent of Australia's "White Australia Policy" for the cultural 'left' to use as ammunition in the cultural wars. However, much of this so-called 'ammunition' is based on myth. Robert Fagel and Stanley Engerman in "Time on the Cross", 2 volumes (Little, Brown, Boston, 1974) have shown that over 70% of slave owners were themselves black. The first volume is an examination of the economics of American Negro slavery, with the second volume consisting of the data, equations, and statistical methods used to support the general conclusions given in the first volume. They conclude slaves were rarely mistreated. Sexual abuse of black female slaves by Whites was rare. And large slave plantations were 34% more efficient than Southern 'free farms' and 35% more efficient than northern farms. The authors' discoveries earned them the Bancroft Prize of Columbia University. Nevertheless, the "Roots" myth is politically useful and will be maintained by the anti-White establishment until US Whites have disappeared from that land and human history. Editor's note: While not wishing to
appear to condone slavery in any form, and noting that most working Australians
are now merely wage-tax-financial slaves, and farmers no more than slaves of the
banking system, one wonders how these figures compare with that 20th century Slave
State - the USSR - and its per capita production figures. It is on record, one of the League's policies
clearly states: |
THE REPUBLICAN PLAN TO USE PLEBISCITESfrom David
Flint's Opinion Column One
indissoluble Federal Commonwealth under the Crown: If
there is both a plebiscite, as well as another looney crackpot Republican Referendum,
the cost would be well in excess of $300 million and could even hit $400 million!

THE MARRING OF HILLARY'S DAYfrom Philip Benwell,
MBE: Even republicans must admit that The Queen had recognised Sir Edmund's magnificent achievements during his lifetime, knighting him shortly after her coronation in 1953 and, in 1995, honouring him with the Order of the Garter. Furthermore, in what the New Zealand Prime Minister, Helen Clark, has described as "a very rare and personal tribute". Her Majesty has offered Sir Edmund's family a memorial service at St. George's Chapel at Windsor Castle, which is the home of the twenty four Knights of the Garter. Mr. Benwell is from the Australian Monarchist League. |
