15 April 2011 Thought for the Week:

Washington Post’s Global Warning Threat: “The Arctic ocean is warming up, icebergs are growing scarcer and in some places the seals are finding the water too hot, according to a report to the Commerce Department yesterday from Consulafft, at Bergen , Norway. Reports from fishermen, seal hunters, and explorers all point to a radical change in climate conditions and hitherto unheard-of temperatures in the Arctic zone. Exploration expeditions report that scarcely any ice has been met as far north as 81 degrees 29 minutes. Soundings to a depth of 3,100 meters showed the gulf stream still very warm. Great masses of ice have been replaced by moraines of earth and stones, the report continued, while at many points well known glaciers have entirely disappeared.

Very few seals and no white fish are found in the eastern Arctic, while vast shoals of herring and smelts which have never before ventured so far north, are being encountered in the old seal fishing grounds. Within a few years it is predicted that due to the ice melt the sea will rise and make most coastal cities uninhabitable.”

- - Writes correspondent Al Legatzke:
I apologize, I neglected to mention that this report was from November 2, 1922, as reported by the AP and published in The Washington Post - 88 YEARS AGO!

FRANCE DITCHES CARBON TAX AS SOCIAL PROTESTS MOUNT

“France is facing its own 'spring of discontent' as strikes shut schools, courts, railways and metro services, and trade unions vowed mass protests across the country, wrote Ambrose Evans-Pritchard, Daily Telegraph 23 Mar 2010: President Nicolas Sarkozy on Tuesday scrapped the country's proposed carbon tax and reshuffled his cabinet in populist tilt after suffering a crushing electoral defeat over the weekend, when his Gaulliste UMP party lost every region other than in its bastion of Alsace and the Indian Ocean island of Reunion.”

Populist Tilt? Don’t you just love the term. In other words, the ordinary folk i.e., the wage-driven, the price-driven slaves of France, the ones who do the real work, have got the ear of their politicians at last and they (the politicians) think it would be wiser to ‘back off’ for a while on this issue. Australians should also look very closely at the long-term agenda behind the Carbon Tax, Emissions Trading Scheme and the possibility of a world-wide Carbon Currency !

A Carbon Currency has been on the drawing boards of the world’s Planners for many a year and is intended to replace the nations’ sovereign currencies bringing them under tighter control.

BASIN COMMUNITIES UNDERTAKE OWN CONSULTATIONS

The Basin Communities Association – an organisation formed by concerned communities and businesses across the Murray-Darling Basin in the wake of the Basin Plan Guide release – is to hold a series of regional forums. The Chairman of the BCA, David Michaelis, says that the forums are to gain an explicit understanding of community and business expectations of the Basin Plan. As those that stand to be the most greatly affected, businesses and communities across the Basin rightly want a say in how the Basin Plan process is developed and implemented. Our process will ensure their voice is heard by Government and their message is reconfirmed.

The BCA Board determined that the most constructive start for this organisation was to listen to communities and businesses. This series of regional forums isn’t about us talking – it is solely about us listening. It is about hearing the expectations of businesses and communities. It is about documenting them (expectations of the communities) and providing them to decision makers. The information that we gather will be used by both our organisation and by our stakeholders to judge the Murray-Darling Basin Plan when it is released toward the middle of this year.

Is this an issue you want to 'get your teeth into'? Then contact the folk putting their own efforts into saving the waters for all their communities - not just wanting to hog it for thrmselves.

REMEMBER SCARE OF THE ‘GREENHOUSE EFFECT’ AND ‘OZONE LAYER’?

In 1989 we were writing about “More About the Greenhouse Hoax”: The Australian (May 4th): An article by journalist Kate Legge, details how fear of environmental catastrophe has turned the World Bank and the White House, green…

"The scientists and greenies suddenly have company as the environment begins to dominate world debate (It just happened, of course, no organisation behind it ... O.T.). "Fears that excess carbon dioxide and other gasses are creating a greenhouse effect and destroying the Ozone layer now stir the hearts of such organisations as the World Bank, and conservative political leaders - even Britain's Prime Minister, Mrs. Thatcher, who knows what a power election ploy it is... (Well of course it was a bit hard to claim a ‘greenhouse effect’ in 2009-2010 when Australia was in the grip of a drought so it then became ‘climate change’…ed)

How about this? "The novel concept of 'debt-for-nature-swaps' is one way of shouldering the cost of environmental protection. It involves the acquisition of debt by environmental and other private groups (one guess who the 'other private groups' are ... O.T.) at a discount and the redemption of that debt in local currency bonds to be used for conservation purposes... The biggest deal was unveiled last month when U.S. conservation groups and commercial banks collaborated on an $11.1 million debt-for-nature swap with Ecuador…

“Now comes the sting: Not all debtor nations support the swaps. Brazil, which holds 30% of the world's tropical forest, and $115 Billion in foreign loans, opposes this kind of international 'help' because of the strings attached (emphasis ours ... O.T.). The President of Brazil, Mr. Sarney, blasted 'great powers or organisations that would dictate to us how to defend what is ours to defend'... Strings, strings, strings. Yes, there are STRINGS: and the strings are held by the international banks.

In July 2009 it became: “Gore: Climate Change Bill for ‘Global Governance”: Gore: U.S. Climate Bill Will Help Bring About ‘Global Governance’ is the headline on Climate Depot website by Marc Morano 10/7/09. It reads: “Former Vice President Al Gore declared that the Congressional climate bill will help bring about “global governance…”
The article continues: “Gore’s call for “global governance” echoes former French President Jacques Chirac’s call in 2000. On November 20, 2000, then French President Chirac said during a speech at The Hague that the UN’s Kyoto Protocol represented “the first component of an authentic global governance…”

In 2010 we reported in The New Times Survey: “A Carbon Currency Rationing Future?” A new economic system based on energy? “Critics who think that the U.S. dollar will be replaced by some new global currency are perhaps thinking too small. On the world horizon looms a new global currency that could replace all paper currencies and the economic system upon which they are based. The new currency, simply called Carbon Currency, is designed to support a revolutionary new economic system based on energy (production, and consumption), instead of price. Our current price-based economic system and its related currencies that have supported capitalism, socialism, fascism and communism, is being herded to the slaughterhouse in order to make way for a new carbon-based world. Forces are already at work to position a new Carbon Currency as the ultimate solution to global calls for poverty reduction, population control, environmental control, global warming, energy allocation and blanket distribution of economic wealth. Unfortunately for individual people living in this new system, it will also require authoritarian and centralized control over all aspects of life, from cradle to grave…

What is Carbon Currency and how does it work? “In a nutshell, Carbon Currency will be based on the regular allocation of available energy to the people of the world. If not used within a period of time, the Currency will expire (like monthly minutes on your cell phone plan) so that the same people can receive a new allocation based on new energy production quotas for the next period. Because the energy supply chain is already dominated by the global elite, setting energy production quotas will limit the amount of Carbon Currency in circulation at any one time. It will also naturally limit manufacturing, food production and people movement.

“Local currencies could remain in play for a time, but they would eventually wither and be fully replaced by the Carbon Currency, much the same way that the Euro displaced individual European currencies over a period of time. Sounds very modern in concept, doesn’t it? In fact, these ideas date back to the 1930’s when hundreds of thousands of U.S. citizens were embracing a new political ideology called Technocracy and the promise it held for a better life…”

THE RED LIZARD, THE RED DRAGON AND DIRTY COAL

by James Reed
Julia Gillard has cited the closure of “dirty” coal – fired power stations in China, to support her “argument” that Australia needs to price carbon. Thus the rest of the world was acting to combat climate change, so Australia should too. Never mind that the rate of concern about climate change has fallen in America since 2008 (then two thirds of Americans were concerned about climate change), to reach the near existing historic low (one percentage point more than in 1998) of 51% (The Australian, March 16, 2011, p.9).

And yes, China has closed down 468 “dirty” coal generators from June 2006 to June 2010, but it has put up even more, somewhat cleaner coal-fired power stations and is even more dependent on coal as a fossil fuel. No doubt it aims to burn up all the coal in Australia and then some. Typical of the chattering class, Gillard cannot criticise China: that is beyond comprehension for the Left. What China does must always be sacred. China is after all, “red” like her.

IS THIS IMPORTED FOOD TESTED FOR HUMAN CONSUMPTION?

From a New Zealand Reader:
“I found this site. There were suggestions from others that the info about bar codes is not completely correct, so you might like to include a disclaimer. I saw other information on the state of a lot of other food from China/Asia. In recent times the US public have been warned against fish from Vietnam. But I see some Vietnamese fish in our supermarkets. The whole business is just pathetic.
Last year a friend bought broccoli from her local Indian grocer that was tasteless. When she told him about it he said some people had returned theirs and he would not be stocking it again, it was from China. At the same time my friend said if she had driven into the nearby countryside she would have seen locally grown in-season broccoli. Trouble is, it’s all now mass-produced and there are hardly any road-side stalls.”
Watch here..

LIKE COCKROACHES AND POLITICIANS, ANTI-SEMITES AND RACISTS ARE EVERYWHERE!

by Peter Ewer
Is there no end to this senseless parade of “hate”? First we have some actor who says that he is not one man, but two and a half men saying something bad and anti-Semitic about his movie boss. Then the shimmering fashion career of John Galliano came crashing down when he insulted, allegedly, a French couple in racist and anti-Semitic terms. There was also a sexist insult as well, but all of that pales into insignificance compared to Galliano’s ultimate booboo of saying “I love Hitler” and getting this recorded and put on the net. Really, leaving the “racism” and “anti-Semitism” aside, if Galliano did threaten the couple and break the law he deserves to be put to trial. The fashion designer apologised for his drunken behaviour and claims not to have made anti-Semitic remarks while launching a counter claim. Who knows? We will, soon.

Then there is a case of Wikileaks founder Julian Assange who faces death by association because Wikileaks’ official Moscow liaison is a Holocaust-denier. Assange himself has said that there is a conspiracy to destroy Wikileaks and that the alleged conspirators are “Jewish”. (Ted Lapkin, “Assange’s Anti-Semitic Friend”, The Australian, March 4, 2011, p.12) That looks too bad for him too. And, according to Professor Robert Manne (The Weekend Australian, March 5-6, 2011, inquirer) Assange has had a cyberpunk past, believing that the state is evil and individuals would be best living in a libertarian fashion. Presumably only Manne sees that as subversive thinking, a “global plan” or conspiracy if you like, to change the world through whistleblowing. Never mind that the secrets exposed by Wikileaks show the evils that governments get up to, including torture, mass murder etc; what apparently matters is secrets in the past and connections. Manne does not show that the alleged sins of Assange are worse than the evils that Wikileaks uncovered.

Charles Bremner, writing in The Times (“Galliano Commits Self-Destruction”, has said “Short of doing something offensive with children, there is no surer way for a celebrity to derail a career these days than by proffering racist or religious insults”. And: “no brand can withstand the taint of racism”, for “Racist or anti-Semitic slurs are near the ultimate offense of our times”. Did “gaffe-prone former South Australian Treasurer Kevin Foley, (The Weekend Australian, February 26 – 27, 2011, p.9) have the cultural significance of this in mind when he accused Julia Gillard’s government and the opposition of “pandering to Western Sydney “racists” while spruiking a small-Australia policy”?

In other words, those who support “small Australia” even on the greenest of ecological grounds are “racists”, while big business, who support a large Asianised Australia, are morally pure. Mr Foley will be remembered for being beaten outside an inner-city bar at 4am one Sunday morning (and again recently... ed) and for his “relationships with younger women”. His quotable quote is that to get things done in politics “ultimately you have got to be a bit of a [rude word censored]”. No doubt after attacking his own side of politics for a politically correct halo, people will say that he must know what he is talking about.

IMMIGRATION MAKES US LIVE LIKE SARDINES

by James Reed
Apart from the agenda of exterminating the White race, immigration is a sacred cow to Australia’s power elites because it is profitable. It generates more sales and consumption. It results in less resources such as land and housing as people compete for dwindling resources. Land that my father and grandfather remember as having cows on it, on the outer rim of my city, now has intense New York style apartments. The ruling elite want profit, profit, profit now. Not because they do anything with the profit, but just for the feeling of power. They are criminally insane and anti-life and their kind across the world is ravaging this planet and killing native peoples, all for a few (trillion) dollars more.

At the microlevel, here in Australia, two or more couples living in one flat is fast becoming common (The Weekend Australian, February 26-27, 2011, p.3). It is necessary to do this to get a deposit for the first home loan and a lifetime mortgage. An interesting word, as its French root “mort” means “death”. Then there is the threat of divorce, as most divorces have financial issues at their base.

This truly is a horrible system and the world which they have made is a nightmare. Voters may defend the “quarter-acre dream” (The Australian, December 4-5, 2010, p12) but “Big Australia” wants, demands, housing intensity. They want overseas buyers to buy up big: up to half of some new housing estates on Melbourne’s urban fringe have been sold to overseas Asians, most of whom want to migrate here (The Age, February 7, 2011). Soon there will be no room at the inn for Aussies and no stable to sleep in either.

A JAB A DAY DOESN’T KEEP THE DOCTOR AWAY

by Brian Simpson
We are supposed to get a flu jab each season to save us from getting the flu - but - an Australian National University professor of infectious diseases and microbiology, Peter Collignon, has concluded that seasonal flu vaccines may actually increase the risk of flu “at least for those not considered at high risk due to other conditions”. (“Job May Worsen Swine Flu Effects”, The Australian, March 4, 2011, p.3)

This is exactly the opposite of what vaccines are supposed to do, the professor grants and “this is a red flag for saying we need to reassess the whole vaccine strategy, of vaccinating people without risk factors”. This as well, as I see it, raises new doubts which many have raised about vaccines. I am no expert on this topic, but you can better inform yourself on these controversies by watching and reading from the League’s range of DVDs and books on the subject.

A recent addition to our list of good health books are those by Dr. Peter Baratosy – in particular his latest titled “Death by Civilisation”. Price $25.00 plus postage.

A LITTLE ‘NIGHT SOIL’ WITH YOUR SUPPER?

by Grace Lowe
I couldn’t help but feel disgusted by the latest ‘price war’ at play between the two largest supermarket chains. With milk at $1 a litre, it is absurd to expect our dairy farmers to produce a sustainable nutritious product that just about every Australian home uses. Coupled with the growing glut of ‘own brand’ produce knocking competitors off the shelves, it seems that the ‘uber-markets’ are weaving their dense web of monopolistic price fixing even further. What topped off my week was the hunt for Australian grown garlic. Having run out of time to pop into the organic store, my only option was a Chinese grown import from the supermarket.

Having overheard a conversation about imported groceries fertilised with human waste I had a had a dig around the net and found a Today Tonight transcript (http: //au.todaytonight.yahoo.com/article/6051607/consumer/china-foods-rise) from September 2009 which stated the following:

“Last year we unearthed secret government tests revealing the Chinese foods we eat (like garlic, onions, peas, nuts and cabbage), contained dangerous pesticides, banned cancer-causing chemicals and poisonous lead and cadmium (up to hundreds of times more than the legal limit). Also detected was e. coli bacteria from Chinese farmers using human and animal faeces as fertilizer.”

This human/animal fertiliser, known as ‘night soil’, was easy to research as it’s a practice going back thousands of years. Fine, if that’s your choice and your waste, but do you fancy the septic tank contents of complete strangers? Of ‘night soil’ I read the following excerpt of a case study here….

“For thousands of years, China's farmers have used human manure, or "nightsoil", as fertilizer (King, 1911)… Manure and urine are collected in buckets within the household, or deposited directly in the storage tanks, which are usually located in the animal stall and toilet area of the household… Prior to intensive use of synthetic fertilizers, nightsoil was an important fertilizer for nearly all crops, including rice and wheat. Now, nightsoil is applied mostly to small-scale vegetable plots and other rainfed household crops.”

“The drinking of boiled water has been universally adopted in these countries (China and Japan…ed) as an individually available, thoroughly efficient and safe guard against that class of deadly disease germs which it has been almost impossible to exclude from the drinking water of any densely peopled country.”

And this: “There have always been health risks associated with nightsoil use (Richardson, 1950). One traditional adaptation to this risk is the near total avoidance of raw foods in China. Health risks have been further reduced by contemporary awareness of the spread of germs in human wastes, with farmers avoiding contact with nightsoil more now than in the past.”

Garlic cultivated in soil mixed with human waste then sprayed with goodness knows what… hmmm let me think…uh no thanks! With that thought my purse clamped shut and I changed the menu.

IMMIGRATION AND THE UNIONS

by James Reed
It is good to see the unions taking some action over the use of cheap foreign labour (“Unions Furious Over Cheap Foreign Labour”, The Australian, February 15, 2011, p.7). The Construction Forestry Mining Energy Union shut down a Perth CBD building site which had 457 visa foreign workers, mainly “cheap Chinese and Korean labour”.

The Asian workers got $12 a day compared to $28 for Australian workers. This is the real face behind the sham “skills shortage”. The Freedom Movement largely ignores the interests and involvement of working class people, having itself a “small business” orientation that, I believe, is a big mistake. Working people are disproportionately affected by immigration and cheap foreign labour, and their jobs highly vulnerable. They should be open to our message as things get tougher.

CRASH GOES OUR INFRASTRUCTURE?

by James Reed
Although the issue of infrastructure does get a small amount of discussion in the media, it is usually in the context of things like new railways to service growing migrant populations. But the deeper, darker problem of infrastructure lies beneath our feet: thousands of kilometres of pipes, sewerage and wiring.
All of this was constructed over many generations and at great cost. It is now all ageing. None of it is immortal and sooner than we expect, massive amounts of this basic infrastructure will need to be replaced.

How can this be done and where will the money come from, given conventional financial thinking, to do it? Borrow the money from the gangster bankers of course to further sell off our futures. But social credit proposals are perfect for dealing with “nation building” projects such as this and such practical arguments need to be more widely used by social crediters.

RADIOACTIVITY IS GOOD FOR YOU!

by James Reed
Who remembers the days of the MFP – multifunction polis – a proposed futuristic Japanese City that was to be built in the swamplands of Gilman, Adelaide? In those balmy Keating/ Bannon days Japan was to be No.1- but now China is the top of the pops. China intends to build 28 more nuclear plants. The Japanese disaster is not worrying them or Indonesia.
Four nuclear reactors are to be built on Bangka Island off the coast of Sumatra Indonesia. Yes, that is the exact place where a 2004 earthquake caused a tsunami that killed 230,000 people (The Australian, March 17, 2011, p.4) It seems that if you want to build a nuclear power station now, make sure that it is in an earthquake zone. When an inevitable accident causes these power stations to rupture their guts, like the proverbial Judah, radioactive gas will be spewed all over northern Australia.

But don’t worry, be happy – according to conservative journalist – beauty Ann Coulter, “A Glowing Report on Radiation”, (16 March 2011), higher than normal doses of radiation can protect against cancer by stimulating natural defence mechanisms (hormesis). The magnitude is about 10 times the normal dose rate.
But even if this is true, the dose rates at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plants were a thousand times higher than that. The sites were so radioactive that a water-bombing helicopter had to abort an attempt to put out the fire in No.4 reactor. This is the shape of the future where humanity faces the fate of nuclear poisoning. Mankind is not wise enough to have the power of the atom.

THROW ANOTHER ANGLO ON THE BARBIE: PAUL HOGAN, THE ATO AND ETHNIC TAX AVOIDANCE

by James Reed
Aussie lad Paul Hogan’s battle with the tax man was recently discussed in On Target, 18 March 2011. Before this I had remarked that the ATO has seldom targeted non-Anglos who as we all know love the “cash economy”. Some non-Anglo groups are well known to do “cash in hand” work while Anglo Saxons have battled on, paying taxes. There is no investigation of these folk whose lifestyle hardly matches their tax returns.
And what about the drug lords who live in “grass houses” – where has the money to pay for their luxury lifestyle supposed to have come from?

And now we have been told that politicians are the group most likely to lodge shonky tax returns and one in three politicians failed to submit their returns in time (The Australian, March 17, 2011, p.7). You should not be surprised to hear that politicians are the real crooks – but don’t hold your breath waiting for the ATO to do something about it. As The Australian article puts it, “little is being done to ensure that politicians are complying with tax laws”. Hell, of course, will freeze over first.

THE COSMOPOLITAN RELIGION OF REFUGEEISM

by James Reed
An oldish article from The Courier (Adelaide) November 10, 2010, p.13 has the headline; “Detention will ‘Haunt’ Australia and Add to our Racist Image”. The photograph features a former social worker and United Church multicultural project officer standing by the Bridgewater Uniting Church service sign: “Refugees: What Would Jesus Do?” The debate at the time was about the arrival of 400 Sri Lankan and Afghani asylum seekers. Below this story a brave local woman says that it is “shameful” for the Federal government to spend $10 million to fix up the Inverbrackie homes for asylum seekers when it ignores the plight of the homeless locals. Indeed, they ignore the plight of Aborigines in Alice Springs in desperate situations as well.

Welcome to the cosmopolitan religion of refugeeism. I see it in The Australian (March 18, 2011, p.13) letter to the editor columns: “Let’s Build an Ark Here for the Desolate Japanese”. Why did it take so long for the bleeding hearts to go for the “Japanese refugee” solution? The problem for them is that most of the proud racially homogenous Japanese people wouldn’t want to live in the multicultural mess which has been created in Australia. I think that they would rather face the radioactivity. Oh, and did the Japanese offer to take in the people of Brisbane when disaster came their way? (Hint: of course not!)

A TALE OF TWO COUNTRIES

by James Reed
America: there a blonde University of California, Los Angeles female student with “exploding cleavage” (whatever that means!) put a video on YouTube criticising in a humorous fashion some of the things that Asians did on campus, such as constantly using their cell phones. The result: instant death threats
.

Lawrence Auster at his View From the Right sums it up:
“Racial diversity – worshipped by every liberal and every mainstream conservative has turned whites from a free and confident people ruling their own country into an unfree and frightened people in a country that is no longer theirs”. Same for Australia. France: there may be hope. Head of the National Front Marine Le Pen has said that Europe risks being swamped by migrants from North Africa:
“Europe can’t welcome everyone… we would be pleased to take them all in our boat but it is not big enough. We’ll all go to the bottom. We would be adding one misery to another”.

For taking a stand she is now ahead of present French president Nicolas Sarkozy in the polls for next year’s presidential election. It is a pity that the UCLA blonde didn’t take a leaf from Marine’s book and put something substantial about racial diversity on Face Book, to make the death threats meaningful.
