25 February 2011 Thought
for the Week:
It’s all been said before:
Or else, how can one enter into a strong man's house
and spoil his goods, except he first bind the strong man
and then he will spoil his house.
- - Matthew. 12.27 The New Testament
The money-power and the revolutionary-power
have been set up and given sham but symbolic shapes
('Capitalism' and 'Communism') and sharply defined
citadels ('America' and 'Russia'). Suitably to alarm the
mass mind, the picture offered is that of bleak and
hopeless enmity and confrontation. . .
But what if
similar men, with a common aim, secretly rule in both
camps and propose to achieve their ambition through
the clash between these masses? I believe that any
diligent student of our times will discover that this is the
case.

Who keeps track of the American bankers and the missing billions? http://dailybail.com/home/there-are-no-words-to-describe-the-following-part-ii.html
Check out the 3-minute video clip:
It explains that the current spending cuts and tax hikes in the UK are completely unnecessary. We could avoid them by simply making one good cut - to cut benefits for bankers. I was amazed to discover that banks are actually subsidised by up to £100bn a year, at our expense.

TO MAKE SENSE OF WHAT HAS TAKEN PLACE IN EGYPT
by Betty Luks
It is twenty years since Ivor Benson, (author, journalist and one time broadcaster and information adviser to the Rhodesian Government) posed a question to his readers in “Behind the News” January 1991: “… is it possible
to make any sense of the world situation as a whole?"
He then answered his own question. “Three leading American historians
provide part of the answer: 'Two world wars and their intervening revolutions and crises are generally recognised
to be episodes in a single age of conflict... (which) has not yet run its course... Whatever
may be its ultimate meaning and consequence,
we can already think of it and write of it
as a historical whole.'
“What that means,” continued Benson, “quite simply is that we
can expect to find in all the separate instances
of war, revolution and crises a single continuing
set of forces, ambitions and influences. So, what is the total situation at a glance? We do not need to have powers of clairvoyance to see that the world is moving towards
a showdown of unprecedented proportions. There is a word for times like these: apocalyptic.
A storm has been gathering for a long time
and is bound to break sooner or later, possibly
quite soon.
First let us try to compress into a few words the total history of our century
“A world-revolution has been in progress since before the turn of the century having as its central aim the setting up of a totalitarian
'New World Order'. This revolution, of which two world wars, the Russian Revolution and
the dismemberment of the colonial empires
were major features, now encounters increased
resistance, the most immediate and most challenging being an Islamic resurgence in the
Middle East.
“There are of course countless other ways
in which the history of our century can be compressed into a few words. Oswald Spengler,
in his monumental “The Decline of the West”
says that the modern world is the product
of an alliance of Money and rootless Intellect working in opposition to Instinct. Events have also confirmed the correctness
of Spengler's statement that 'there is no proletarian revolution, not even a communist one,
that does not operate in the interest of Money'. For the purposes of study, a single age
of conflict, can be divided into three main
parts, three vast geographical areas in which
great change is either occurring or pending:
the Middle East, the Soviet Union and Europe,
including the former communist states.
So, let us begin with the Middle East, … There need be no doubt about the real purpose of the Western initiative in this area: It is
to set up an 'expanded’ Israel as a military and political firm base. There, as throughout the so-called Third World, we see the former separate European national imperialisms being replaced
by a new global cosmopolitan imperialism with
Zionism as the national spearhead of it and
backed by a highly concentrated financial power
which has drawn all the nations of the West
into its service. There is, in fact, no way in which Israel
could survive except as one of the agencies
of the new global cosmopolitan imperialism.
It is intended, at least in the short
term, to use the artificially created Muslim
states - Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Syria, etc -
as a buffer against the real opponent, which
is a resurgent Islam centred in Iran...”
Ivor Benson continued: “It would not be easy to improve on an analysis
of the prospects provided by Imran R. Hosein,
a prominent Islamic intellectual, in a recent
issue of Crescent International.
“What the world
will now witness, he says, is a global struggle
between Islam on the one hand and, on the
other, not the Christian West but a ‘post-Christian, European materialist, capitalist and
imperialist civilisation’”.
As for Western Christianity, it is being seen as simply ‘lukewarm’ among the ‘rapidly decaying political, economic, moral and social institutions’ it created. That was twenty years ago.

“DEMOCRACY WITHOUT ECONOMIC INDEPENDENCE IS WORTHLESS”
by Sarakenos, www.uruknet.info?p=74960:
The Egyptian military, with a US green light, got rid of Mubarak for precisely the same reason they sent the police and thugs that killed over 300 and injured thousands last week — to allow for the economy to run smoothly again. In other words, the disposing of Mubarak is just another solution, as undesirable as it may be, to re-open banks and have business run as usual. Factories, banks, real state, and other businesses are still owned by the same corrupt leaders, with the fate of the Mubarak family stock still unknown.
The High Council of Armed Forces, in all their four communiqués, stressed the "economic interests" of the country, which, in a heavily-privatized economy like Egypt’s, means the interests of the private owners, some of whom are military generals. The forced removal of Mubarak, in the end, served owners’ interests foremost. This economic concern was ranked as the most important objective in the High Council of Armed Forces’ latest communiqué:
First: The High Council of the Armed Forces is committed to all contents in previous communiqués.
Second: The High Council of the Armed Forces has great confidence in the ability of Egypt, its institutions, and its people in surpassing the current critical conditions.
And based on this, all sectors, public and private, must commit to their glorious and patriotic mission to push the wheel of economy forward, and that the people are held responsible in this matter.
The third point in the communiqué was only natural to forcefully uphold "the glorious and patriotic mission," which is to keep the current government under Suleiman in power until new elections are held. The Council did not set up a time frame for these elections, but it definitively did so for resuscitating the economy (i.e. retrieve flow of income and profits on their investments) as a priority that cannot wait for democracy; which is now!
This communiqué went short of repeating Suleiman’s patronizing words yesterday when he said: "Go back to your homes and your jobs."
There are a lot of people who simply cannot accept that the economy, at this stage, is of much concern to the Egyptian military regime (which is still in power) and the Obama administration and other US officials, let alone the general public and the revolution. But that is because these people are not trained sufficiently to have an economic eye on world affairs.
The focus then shifts to the political aspects of the revolution: democracy, fair elections, and freedom of speech and religion. Make no mistake, these are absolutely important elements of any successful revolution, and achieving them deserves euphoric celebrations.
But to ignore the economic demands, the very reason why this revolution even took place, is really an act of infanticide against this new-born Egyptian revolution.
The true catalyst of the Revolution
Bou Azizi (the true catalyst of the Tunisian and Egyptian revolutions) did not set himself on fire because he couldn’t vote in free elections. He set himself on fire because his only source of income was humiliatingly taken away from him.

ROBERT FISK ASKS: IS THE ARMY TIGHTENING ITS GRIP ON EGYPT?
Robert Fisk "The Independent"
- -Two days after millions of Egyptians won their revolution against the regime of Hosni Mubarak, the country's army – led by Mubarak's lifelong friend, General Mohamed el-Tantawi – further consolidated its power over Egypt yesterday, dissolving parliament and suspending the constitution.
As they did so, the prime minister appointed by Mubarak, ex-General Ahmed Shafiq, told Egyptians that his first priorities were "peace and security" to prevent "chaos and disorder" – the very slogan uttered so often by the despised ex-president. Plus ça change?...
Another irony has dawned on Egyptians
Those Arab dictators which claim to represent their people – Algeria comes to mind, and Libya, and Morocco – have signally failed to represent their people by not congratulating Egypt on its successful democratic revolution. To do so, needless to say, would be to saw off the legs of their own thrones. |
THEN WE HAVE THE PRO-ISRAELI SUPPORTERS
A good example of how Zionist Americans play on uninformed naïve Christians’ compassion is blatantly obvious in the “Jerusalem Prayer Team’s” newsletter.
The headlines read: “Egypt Following Iran on the Path to Destruction” and leads on to an appeal for funds in support of modern Israel, now perceived to be ‘under threat by the uprising of the masses in Egypt’. It reads: “The leader of Egypt for thirty years has been haunted by the ghost of regimes past, and especially that of his Iranian counterpart, Mohammed Reza Pahlavi, the Shah of Iran… Promises will be made but not kept. Ultimately, the big winner will be radical
Islamists like the Muslim Brotherhood that are apparently "gaming" the system.
The overthrow of Mubarak will empower the masses throughout the Middle East, but the
supreme winner will be the radical Islamists throughout the Middle East who have waited in the shadows for others to do the work for them. Jordan might well be next. It is no coincidence that Mubarak has been mostly friendly toward Israel - and that he is hated for it…”
But there’s more: ‘America will be cursed by God’ – if it doesn’t support modern Israel. It has to be asked: No matter what the Israelis do to their neighbours, to their fellow human beings? When was the moral law cancelled? And which concept of God do these people envisage? The God of love as revealed by Jesus the Christ – or... ?
The newsletter continues: “In finality, the mosques, mullahs, and mad rasas will prevail. The bazaars traffic in more than
pita bread; they sell terror for a price…
This is not the end of the revolution in Egypt; it is just the beginning. The people of the Land
of the Pharaohs have much to fear. And there is more. The United States is also supporting a worldwide effort to have the United
Nations unilaterally declare a Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital. They are
planning to present Israel with a fait accompli without any input from the Jewish people on
their future and with no say over their own borders or security. No other nation on earth would
be treated this way.” (Are you sure of this Dr. Evans? Just one example quickly comes to mind - the Palestinians… ed)
Dr. Evans finishes with this psychological threat to the uninformed
“According to the unfailing and unchanging promise of God, if America sides with this plan, we
WILL be cursed. God said, "I will bless them that bless thee and curse him that curses thee." (Genesis 12:3) We have an opportunity at this prophetic moment to be a blessing to the children of Abraham by standing together in defense of Jerusalem…”

A MORE REALISTIC VIEW? ‘ISRAELI ECONOMY FOR BEGINNERS’
Gilad Atzmon is a former Israeli and Jew who renounced his Israeli citizenship and Judaism and now lives in the United Kingdom. In an earlier article he wrote on Milton Freedman and I thought he would find Benson’s chapter on Shakespeare’s The Merchant of Venice of interest. He replied to my email: “Tx so much. I gave it a chapter in my new book. TMOV is indeed a crucial text and a major insight into J identity - Gilad Atzmon.”
From Gilad Atzmon’s website - he pulls no punches in “Israeli Economy for Beginners"
“We learn from the press and political analysts that, against all odds and in spite of the global financial turmoil, Israel’s economy is booming. Some even suggest that Israel is one of the strongest economies around.
‘How come?’ you may ask; besides maybe avocado, oranges, and some Dead Sea beauty products, none of us has actually ever seen an Israeli product on the shelves. They don’t make cars; nor do they make electric or electronic appliances, and they hardly manufacture any consumer goods. Israel claims to be advanced in high-tech technologies but somehow, the only Israeli advanced software ever to settle within our computers have been their Sabra Trojan Horses. In the land they grabbed by force from the indigenous Palestinians, they are yet to find any lucrative minerals or oil. So what is it? How is it that Israel is impervious to the global financial disaster? How can Israel be so rich?
Israel may be rich because, according to the Guardian, “out of the seven oligarchs who controlled 50% of Russia’s economy during the 1990s, six were Jewish.”
During the last two decades, many Russian oligarchs have acquired Israeli citizenship. They also secured their dirty money by investing in the kosher financial haven; Wikileaks has revealed lately that “sources in the (Israeli) police estimate that Russian organised crime (Russian Mafia) has laundered as much as US $10 billion through Israeli holdings."[1]
Israel's economy is booming because mega swindlers such as Bernie Madoff have been channeling their money via Zionists and Israeli institutions for decades.[2]
Israel is ‘doing well’ because it is the leading trader in blood diamonds. Far from being surprising, Israel is also the fourth biggest weapon dealer on this planet. Clearly, blood diamonds and guns are proving to be a great match. As if this is not enough, Israel is also prosperous because, every so often, it is caught engaged in organ trafficking and organ harvesting.
In short, Israel is doing better than other countries because it runs one of the dirtiest- non -ethical economies in the world. In spite of the Zionists' initial promise to bring about a civilised ethical Jew, Israel has, instead, managed to develop an outstanding level of institutional dismissal of international law and universal values. It operates as a safe haven for money made in some horrendous global criminal activities. And it employs one of the world’s strongest army to defend the wealth of just a few of the wealthiest Jews around.
Increasingly, Israel seems to be nothing more than a humongous money laundering haven for Jewish oligarchs, swindlers, weapons dealers, organ traffickers, organised crime and blood diamond traders. Such a realization can certainly explain why Israel is totally impervious to social equality within its borders.
Poor Israelis
Since Israel defines itself as the Jewish state, one may expect the Jewish people to be the first to benefit from their country’s booming economy. This seems to be not at all the case. In spite of the economy's strength, Israel’s record on social justice is appalling.
In the Jewish state 18 families control 60% of the equity value of all companies in the land.
The Jewish State is shockingly cruel to its poor. As far as the gap between rich and poor is concerned, Israel is listed right at the top of the scale.
The meaning of all of that is pretty devastating; though Israel operates as an ethno-centric racially orientated, tribal setting, it is proving to be totally careless of the members of its own tribe -- In fact, in the Jewish state, a few million Jews are serving the darkest possible interests, the fruits of which, are to be enjoyed by just a very few rich villains.
Smoke Screen
But there is a deeper and far more devastating meaning implicit within it all. If my reading of the Israeli economy is correct, and Israel is indeed a monstrous cash haven for the dirtiest money around, then the Israeli Palestinian conflict is, at least, from the Israeli-elite's perspective, nothing but a smoke screen.
I hope that my readers and friends will forgive me for saying it -- I hope that I will forgive myself for saying it -- But it seems to me that the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, and Israel's horrendous crimes against the Palestinian people, actually serves to divert attention away from Israel's complicity in some colossal and global crimes against vast populations around the world.
Instead of addressing the above relentless greed-driven attempt to grab wealth on the expense of the rest of humanity, we are all focusing on a single territorial conflict, that actually brings to light just one devastating criminal side of the Jewish national project.
It is more than likely that the vast majority of Israelis also fail to detect the deceitful role of the Israeli Palestinian conflict. The Israelis are indoctrinated to look at every possible issue from a national security perspective. They have failed to realise that along the intensive militarization of their society, their Jewish state has become a money-laundering haven and a refuge for villains from all over the world.
But here is some bad news for Israel and its corrupted elite. It is just a question of time before the Russians, Americans, Africans, Europeans, all of humanity, begin to grasp it all -- We are all Palestinians and we all share one enemy. I would even take it further, and argue that it is possible that, not before too long -- some deprived Jews and Israelis will also begin to realise how deceptive and sinister Israel and Zionism truly are.
[1] For more information about global organized crime connections with Likud or other major Israeli political parties. Please follow this link http://cosmos.ucc.ie/cs1064/jabowen/IPSC/php/topic.php?tid=147
[2] Also, it is rumoured that, prior to its collapse, Lehman Brothers transferred 400 billion dollars to Israeli banks. I am not in a position to substantiate any of these theories -- but I would strongly suggest that it is of some urgency to find out how truthful these accusations are.”
Further - “Bernie Madoff Jailhouse Interview” by Brian Ross, New York Times 16 Feb, 2011:
Convicted con man Bernard Madoff claims major banks and hedge funds were "complicit" in his massive scam and that he has helped bankruptcy lawyers track billions of dollars in the money he stole. His comments, made from prison Tuesday to New York Times reporter Diana Henriques, were branded as "more lies" by lawyers involved in the bankruptcy case.
In the interview, and in earlier e-mails with the Times reporter, Madoff continued to insist members of his family and close friends -- including the owners of the New York Mets -- were unaware of the investment scam that defrauded thousands of victims out of at least $20 billion. "They knew nothing. They knew nothing," he told the Times.
But Stephen Harbeck, President of the Securities Investor Protection Corporation, told ABC News he doesn't buy it.
"Some of these people were in control or were absolutely in a position to understand what was going on," he said.
Harbeck's comments echo a lawsuit filed against an investment company owned in part by Mets owners Fred and Jeff Wilpon, close family friends of Madoff's.
The 370-plus page complaint filed in December by the trustee representing the victims of Madoff's scam allege that employees of the investment company, Sterling Equities, were told by an investment partner that Madoff's numbers were "too good to be true" but the company was "in too deep... to do anything but ignore the gathering clouds." |
THE RUSSIAN OLIGARCHS ‘JUST HAPPENED’ TO BE THERE AT THE TIME
The world knows that the Soviet Union just ‘imploded’ and the Iron Curtain came tumbling down setting the Russian people ‘free’.
What they don’t know is just how these ‘oligarchs’ just happened to be in the right place at the right time to seize the failing State’s assets for themselves. Again we turn to Ivor Benson, but this time we go back another ten years to his “Behind the News” September 1981.
He writes:
“The story of "Russia's Underground Millionaires" was told in the June 29 (1981) issue of Fortune magazine, the plush and expensive sister journal of Time, by no less an authority than a former international law expert in the Soviet Ministry of Justice, one Konstantin Simis, now resident in the United States.
There is no reason to doubt the accuracy of the facts supplied, but good reason to examine closely and critically the meaning which Simis and the Fortune editors give to these astonishing facts which have emerged so suddenly and without warning from what is certainly the biggest area of secrecy and disinformation (i.e. lying) in the history of man-kind…"
A vast network of super-rich capitalists
“Meanwhile, it is becoming increasingly obvious that economic socialism of the kind implemented in the Soviet Union by Lenin and his successors cannot ever be made to work.
It is, therefore, highly significant that in the Soviet Union, as Simis shows, there has come into existence a vast network of super-rich capitalists, matching in so many ways the super-rich capitalists of the West, ready to take over when the present system of totalitarian state capitalism finally collapses, as collapse it must, sooner or later.
How else? And who better entitled to take over than "heroes" of the underground, anti-Communist, counter-revolutionary struggle, freedom, every one of them "freedom fighters" in the new dispensation?”

THE THREAT OF CHINA
by James Reed
Ross Babbage, Chief military advisor to the government has said that Australia will need nuclear-powered attack submarines and other high tech weapons to deal with China’s sky rocketing military build-up (“’Boost Military’ to Take on China”, The Australian, February 5-6, 2011, p.1).
These ideas are put in Australia’s Strategic Edge 2010 where Babbage sees China’s massive military build-up as “one of the most serious that has confronted Australia’s national security planners since World War II”.
Further “China is for the first time close to achieving a military capacity to deny the United States and allied forces access to much of the Western Pacific rim”.
Greg Sheridan (“This Means Asymmetric War: Time to Beach China at its Own Game”, The Weekend Australian, February 5-6, 2011, p.20) gave a fair, if not glowing, review of Babbage.
By contrast Paul Dibb and Geoffrey Barker, “Panicky Response to China’s Rising Power Would Harm Our Interests”, The Australian, February 8, 2011, p.12, say that China would see an arms expansion in Australia as an attempt to contain it and we must not harm our interest”. This is simply kow-towing to China, which is something of a national obsession.
So what if China is contained! It was insane to build this country into a super power in the first place in my opinion, for we still have the same communist government which under Mao butchered millions of its own people. Having such a communist power control the Western Pacific rim is frightening indeed.

SCALIA AGAINST ONE WORLD LAW
by Ian Wilson LL.B.
Our “favourite” US Supreme Court judge, Justice Antonin Scalia was at the University of Adelaide on Wednesday February 2, 2011, to speak about international law.
In particular, as a champion of State rights, Scalia attacked the “undemocratic” European Union, as well as the European Court of Human Rights. All of these institutions he saw as lacking a democratic basis.
That aside, Scalia gave blunt “answers” to questions he thought irrelevant.
“Is there a question here?” he said to one female legal academic.
(Len the Cleaner was there in his dirty overalls and never got to ask the learned justice about his view of our liberal-left law schools who have promoted almost everything he opposes.)

THE LIVES OF THE “FILTHY RICH”
by James Reed
A very good article by John Arlidge “Gods of Greed”, The Weekend Australian Magazine, February 5-6, 2011, describes the world of the super-rich. Quoting Chrystia Freeland from the Atlantic Monthly, this elite class is depicted as follows; “The rich of today are different from the rich of yesterday.
Our light-speed, globally connected economy has led to the rise of a new super-elite that consists, to a notable degree, of first and second-generation wealth. Its members are hard-working, highly educated, jet-setting meritocrats who feel they are the deserving winners of a tough, worldwide economic competition. They are a transglobal community of peers who have more in common with one another than with their countrymen back home. They are a nation unto themselves.” Do you feel ill yet?
The wealth of the “gods of greed” has come from market deregulation, privatisation, tax cuts and the growth of India and China: in short information technology and the liberalisation of world trade. In my opinion they have benefitted from the dismantling of the nation State and the reserved stockpile of wealth of past generations.
Even so, these happy folk are not the real rulers.
Behind them, as I see it, lies the dark knights, financiers, alone in their offices with nothing but a computer and a jar of cockroaches, I suppose, to munch on.
Sometimes I speculate, after a few cheap wines, that these beings may not even be human, but demonic manifestations in quasi-human form, working relentlessly for the destruction of our world. At the end of the day, even the super-elite are under control of a master power.
