Science of the Social Credit Measured in Terms of Human Satisfaction

11 March 2011 Thought for the Week:

“Can the Anglo-Saxon people lead the world back to sanity? Has democracy failed? These and many similar questions are being asked today. Let me say at the outset that I am firmly convinced that democracy is the only satisfactory basis upon which a society for free individuals can be built. Democracy is more than a political science; it is a complete philosophy, covering every phase of human activity…”

- - Eric D. Butler in “The Money Power versus Democracy” 1949

"Basically, what Economic Hit Men are trained to do is to build up the American empire. To create situations where as many resources as possible flow into this country, to our corporations, and our government, and in fact we've been very successful."
"So we make this big loan, most of it comes back to the United States, the country is left with the debt plus lots of interest, and they basically become our servants, our slaves. It's an empire. There's no two ways about it. It's a huge empire. It's been extremely successful." - - John Perkins

"The government, which was designed for the people, has got into the hands of the bosses and their employers, the special interests. An invisible empire has been set up above the forms of democracy." - Woodrow Wilson

"To plunder, to slaughter, to steal, these things they misname empire; and where they make a wilderness, they call it peace." - Tacitus

TIME TO BREAK THE CHAINS THAT BIND US

by Betty Luks
In the 1980s the League brought out an excellent leaflet to warn fellow Australians of the dangers to their freedoms and why our industries were being destroyed. It dot-pointed the One Worlders' programme outlined in a document by Harlan Cleveland, in his "Agenda for the Planetary Bargain" and released in 1976 by the U.S. Senate Committee on Foreign Relations. Mr. Harland Cleveland was a former U.S.A. Assistant Secretary of State, a Rhodes Scholar and a long-time member of the influential American Council on Foreign Relations - the sister group to the Australian Institute of International Affairs - an elitist few intent on planning and controlling the lives of the many. The leaflet read:

Why Industries Are Being Destroyed - The New World Order Programme:
· Create a World Food Bank.
· Provide for international control of all sources and supplies.
· Internationalise commodity markets.
· Establish international control over the wealth of the oceans and deep sea-beds.
· Provide for international control of the "weather of human command".
· Rewrite the rules of trade and commerce.
· Create a world currency.
· Create a world police to "keep the peace when it is threatened and restore the peace when it is broken".
· Provide special programmes to each of six categories of …institutions, namely: business corporations, labor unions, non-profit organisations, enterprises, communications media, educational systems and government agencies.

South Australia’s League of Rights 1987 Annual Seminar
In 1987 the Australian League of Rights’ South Australian annual seminar was filmed and circulated as a video. A guest speaker at the League’s South Australia annual seminar was Alexander Downer former MP, and, at the time a Liberal shadow minister. A question was put to him during question time: "Aren't we living in times similar to the time when the Roman Civilisation collapsed?"

Downer answered: “I’ll tell you what happened in two sentences. There was a growth of central control in Rome, the emperor became increasingly powerful, the Senate which had represented various groups in the community became powerless, the great institutions really began to collapse, they existed only in name, the government became obsessed with collecting taxes for more and more spending programmes for more and more extravagance. And the leaders of the community lost their values and lost their sense of direction - the whole civilisation collapsed!”
DVD of Downer’s speech available for $12.00 posted from Heritage Bookshop Services and Veritas Online.

A 2003 book “The Planetary Bargain: Corporate Social Responsibility Matters” by Michael Hopkins was found when googled with the following blurb:
“… This significantly revised and updated version of The Planetary Bargain explains the relations among these concepts and reflects the author's new ideas and their new context. Enterprises across the world are waking up to the need for social responsibility towards shareholders and potential investors, managers and other employees, customers, business partners and contractors or suppliers, the natural environment and the communities within which they operate, including national governments and non-governmental organizations…
It suggests a co-operative CSR strategy which creates prosperity for corporations and for the people they serve. It presents the case for a worldwide agreement, or 'planetary bargain', between private and public sectors, arguing that it is good for business and essential for future prosperity and stability.

John Perkins (of "Economic Hitman" fame) explains just how these 'responsible' international corporations treat people, nations and the environment.

A LOOK AT THE ANCIENT ROMAN GULAG

Now known by its Latin name 'Latifundium', in effect it meant the enslavement of debt-ridden people like you, me, us, for the benefit of the ruling elite, : Wikipedia explains: " The latifundia were the closest approximation to industrialized agriculture in Antiquity, and their economics depended upon slave labour”.

This year’s announcement of Australian of the Year awards, was for me, the announcement by the self-chosen elite elitist few who now plan and control our lives, that one of their own was especially chosen for the award and reflects the values that now rule.
One such announcement reads: “The Australian of the Year 2011, Simon McKeon, is a leading social entrepreneur and prominent businessman who demonstrates how business and philanthropy go hand in hand… The 55 year old… has enjoyed a successful career as an investment banker and he has equally committed himself to engagement with the community sector in an effort to maximise the impact he can bring about for the benefit of people in need… His association with World Vision International continues and he is involved with the Global Poverty Project and Red Dust Role Models, which works with remote Indigenous communities.”

I am reminded of George Orwell’s “Animal Farm”; that dark allegorical novel of the Stalin era in the Soviet Union. But then not much has changed even in Russia – the original Oligarch-Pigs might have been thrown off of Farmer Brown’s farm, but the animals themselves do not benefit because other Oligarch-Pigs have taken their place – as Solzhenitsyn and Ivor Benson have shown. No doubt about it, “all animals are equal… it’s just that “some are more equal than others!” Download “Animal Farm” here:

BOOK REVIEW: “Why I Fight!” by J.T. Lang: Originally published during the Great Depression years, this book details the behaviour of the Private Banks, which at the time, provided all the finance for Australia. We will look at one of these, the Bank of Australasia. This bank was established in 1835 with an initial capital issue of 200,000 pounds. This grew to 4,500,000 pounds in 1934, representing 8,500 shareholders. Its disclosed reserves, amounting to 4,475,000 pounds almost equalled its capital.

The establishment of the Commonwealth Bank of Australia is detailed and the struggles by Mr. Lang to get a better financial outcome for all Australians during the Great Depression, culminated in him being sacked by the State Governor of NSW on the 13th May, 1932. Price $28.00 plus postage. Being a reprint of the original, this book is of great historical interest for all Australians.

HOW COME THE ABC MISSED THAT OTHER ‘EXPLOSIVE’ ARTICLE?

The headlines read: “US Army ordered psy-ops on politicians: report” 25/2/2011: “The US Army ordered the illegal use of psychological operations to influence US politicians on the Afghanistan war, Rolling Stone magazine reported, forcing the US commander there to launch an inquiry. The explosive article said the command of General William Caldwell, in charge of training Afghan troops, pressured US soldiers specialising in "psy-ops" to manipulate visiting US senators and congressmen - as well as other VIPs and senior foreign officials - into supporting more money and troops for the war… more here

We are supposed to believe the report actually ‘shook’ Washington. Hardly earth shattering news – especially for Washington. What was ‘shocking’ news - and yet the ABC managed to miss it – was Matt Tabbi’s indepth Rolling Stone article on the next ‘scam’ awaiting the world of tax suckers, that is, you, me, us, gentle readers – the carbon tax, carbon credits and carbon currency.

On Target didn’t miss it and on 21/8/2009 reported: “The bank [Goldman Sachs] owns a 10 percent stake in the Chicago Climate Exchange, where the carbon credits will be traded. Moreover, Goldman owns a minority stake in Blue Source LLC, a Utah-based firm that sells carbon credits of the type that will be in great demand if the bill passes. Nobel Prize winner Al Gore, who is intimately involved with the planning of cap-and-trade, started up a company called Generation Investment Management with three former bigwigs from Goldman Sachs Asset Management, David Blood, Mark Ferguson and Peter Harris. Their business? Investing in carbon offsets.
* There's also a $500 million Green Growth Fund set up by a Goldmanite to invest in green-tech ... the list goes on and on. Goldman is ahead of the headlines again, just waiting for someone to make it rain in the right spot. Will this market be bigger than the energy-futures market? …

"Cap-and-trade is going to happen. Or, if it doesn't, something like it will. The moral is the same as for all the other bubbles that Goldman helped create, from 1929 to 2009. In almost every case, the very same bank that behaved recklessly for years, weighing down the system with toxic loans and predatory debt, and accomplishing nothing but massive bonuses for a few bosses, has been rewarded with mountains of virtually free money and government guarantees - while the actual victims in this mess, ordinary taxpayers, are the ones paying for it…”

I remind readers, the original Rolling Stone article first appeared from July 2009.

LABOR’S GREAT GREEN FOLLY

from Andrew Bolt’s Blog: “The greatest green folly in Victoria’s history” – Monday, 28 February, 2011:
“See what green madness, unchecked, can lead to. Ask why almost no journalists or academics even questioned this gigantic folly at the time: Melburnians will face rocketing water bills over the next 30 years to pay for the state’s desalination plant.
Premier Ted Baillieu yesterday admitted the contract signed by the former Labor Government couldn’t be broken and the “white elephant” desalination plant could cost a maximum $23.9 billion… The desalinated water will cost up to $13.50 a kilolitre - compared to just $1 for our current supplies…

Editor’s comment: I haven’t forgotten that under another incompetent Labor government headed by Mike Rann, South Australians are also to get a desalinisation plant. South Australians will probably have to wait till Rann and the government are thrown out by the electors in order to learn what horror water-costs await them. * “There's also a $500 million Green Growth Fund set up by a Goldmanite to invest in green-tech…” I wonder should we look into which banking group is financing the Victorian project - will we find Goldman Sachs’ sticky tentacles in the pie?

The New Times Survey carried an important article on this matter: “A Carbon Currency Rationing Future?”:
“I awoke to a power failure this morning and this article is the result. Nothing focuses one’s attention on the reliability for energy and warmth from the modern electrical grid than a power blackout - and not able to boil the jug for an early morning cup of tea! I have been storing articles on ‘carbon currency’ and the ‘smart grid’ for a while realising it is important we understand where the push for ‘green energy’ ‘climate change’ ‘sustainability’ etc, is coming from.
I was reminded of Patrick Wood’s January 2010 article: “Carbon Currency: A New Beginning for Technocracy?”

The term ‘technocracy’ was in vogue in the early 20th century. It was an American, Charles Ferguson, who first coined the term social credit and wrote a pamphlet “The Technarchy and the Capital College”, where, under the heading “Financial Politics” he explained he was part of a movement formed to “get possession of political power through the scientific control of capital.” American writer, Michael Lane, searched out Ferguson’s work and gave our readers a comprehensive summary of Ferguson’s intentions in “The Capital College” November 2002.

What is Agenda 21? Agenda 21 is part of the new world order plans, especially for control of the sources of water. Read here:

New Hampshire, US, first to repeal Cap-n-Trade Tax: Andrew Bolt reported:
“Last Wednesday, just one day before Gillard performed her stupendous backflip on the carbon tax, the New Hampshire House of Representatives in the US voted overwhelmingly - 246 to 104 - for New Hampshire to become the first state to repeal an up-and-running global warming cap-and-trade energy tax system.

New Hampshire had been one of the 10 members of the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative (RGGI), a power-plant-only, cap-and-trade system that since 2008 has had quarterly auctions requiring electric utilities to buy carbon-dioxide permits. Like Europe's corrupted carbon-trading system, the US program has been targeted by corrupt special-interest groups.

Labor comprehensively lost its way under former prime minister Kevin Rudd, as Gillard said in justifying the putsch that deposed him. Substituting an out-and-out liar, however, is not the solution. The electorate will not be fooled into believing that a serial liar is actually a conviction politician.”

A REAL TEST FOR THE COMMON LAW

by Ian Wilson LL.B.
The High Court of Australia is to consider whether a 79-year-old man in South Australia should be prosecuted on a rape-in-marriage charge. The man is facing a number of other charges but only the rape-in-marriage charge is subject to the special leave application by the Legal Services Commission. Specifically, the alleged offence took place in 1963 but it was only in 1976 that the presumption of consent to sex in marriage was removed.

The South Australian Court of Appeal (of the Supreme Court of South Australia) held 2-1 that the man should face trial. It was argued that the 1976 legislation did not apply retrospectively. Chief Justice Doyle held that the 1976 laws could be retrospectively applied. In dissent Justice Gray after saying that it is “difficult to understand how such a view could ever have been held” said that “traditionally, a fundamental principle of most legal systems is that the legal consequences of situations should be judged according to the law in force at the time”.

Further: “This is part of a wider principle that people should be judged by their contemporaries and by contemporary standards and beliefs, rather than many years later by people with perhaps vary different standards and beliefs”. It is these fundamental principles of the common law which have been rejected by the South Australian Court of Appeal. It will be interesting to see how the High Court of Australia responds to this fundamental test of the common law.

CARBON TAXES: DEAR PRIME MINISTER GILLARD

[The following is a good example of a letter for you to also send to the Prime Minister]

“There's a lot you haven't told us”,
• Tim Blair • From: The Daily Telegraph • 28/2/2011

DEAR Prime Minister Gillard,
Thank you for making the weather nicer by forcing us to pay more for everything. Who knew that fixing the global climate was so simple? Still, one or two questions remain about your new plan and a few related matters.
Yours in climate justice, Tim

• BY how much will your carbon dioxide tax reduce Australia's temperature?
• IF after five years there has been no recorded decline in temperature, will the tax be abandoned?
• MULTIPLE choice! How much money has already been wasted by Australian federal governments on pointless climate change initiatives that have done nothing:
• a - $2,000,000,000
• b - $3,500,000,000
• c - $5,500,000,000
• IF taxing Australians at a certain level will make us more competitive with the rest of the world, as you claim, then surely taxing us at even higher levels will make us more competitive still. Universal taxation at, say, 80 per cent should make us a global powerhouse. Why are you holding Australia back?
• YOU claim that Australians want this new tax. How about testing your theory at an election? IF I announced on television that I was going to kidnap the federal Cabinet and put them through a series of deadly Saw-style torture tests, do you think I could avoid charges by asking the police to stop going on about "semantics" and "word games"?
• DO you have any experience in herding cats? This might be important during your coming 16 months of negotiations with the Greens, who you seem to have forgotten are completely insane.
• CONSIDERING Labor couldn't run a simple grocery pricing website and Labor's attempts to insulate houses ended up setting them on fire and killing people, what are the odds Labor can successfully run the country's largest and most complicated tax regime?
• LABOR promised to reduce the number of boat people arrivals. As with everything else, Labor's policies resulted in exactly the opposite outcome. Now you're trying to change the weather. Where should people hide?
• CARBON dioxide contains two oxygen atoms for every one carbon atom. Shouldn't we call it an "oxygen tax"?
• IF the aim of the carbon tax is to change behaviour, why are you planning to compensate so many households? They'll just keep killing the planet and get no penalties at all.
• AT what point does carbon dioxide's necessary presence in the atmosphere become "pollution"?
• IF the carbon tax is definitely going to be introduced on July 1, 2012, how come Tim Flannery is going to be paid $720,000 over the next four whole years while he roams the country "explaining" it?
• ISN'T explaining new taxes your job? Or, more specifically, Wayne Swan's?
• For that matter, where was Wayne the other day when you announced this massive new tax? You were there, and so was Bob Brown and Christine Milne and Greg Combet and Tony Windsor and the Hairy Princess. But no Wayne.
• The next time you see Wayne, could you ask him why he said this last August: "What we rejected is this hysterical allegation that somehow we are moving towards a carbon tax." This question should really be asked by journalists, I guess, but they're too busy making excuses for your hilarious lies.
• WHAT is the point of building a $27 billion national broadband network to deliver computer connectivity across the nation when Greg Combet is telling people to turn off lights and televisions?
• ANOTHER thing: how much more cost will be added to the NBN courtesy of the carbon tax?
• AGRICULTURE, which produces around a quarter of our carbon dioxide output, is exempt from the carbon tax. You're not really serious about this whole "carbon pollution" deal, are you?
• WHY don't you just ban the mining, burning and export of coal? Your boss Bob Brown wants to. He thinks that coal caused the Queensland floods (or "water pollution").
• YOU'VE said that people shouldn't be worried about media estimates of the amount they will be penalised. Why should they believe you?
• HOW does taking money off person A and giving it to person B help the climate? You'd be surprised, Ms Prime Minister, you really would, at the way clever lawyers can shift investments and capital around so that the source becomes "agriculture".
• IN 2007, Labor Resources Minister Martin Ferguson said that a mere $30 carbon tax on local flights would "kill the Australian aviation industry both domestically and internationally".
• If he was right, what does that mean for all Australian industries facing a carbon tax?
• WHAT level of bureaucratic expansion will be required to deal with the intake and spersal of something like $10 billion per year?
WILL your compensation plans take into account Australia's regional differences in living standards? Because if they don't, hard-up families in Sydney are going to be giving money to the well-off in Adelaide.
• WHAT percentage of revenue from the carbon tax will be lost in bureaucratic churn between it being collected by your Government and handed out in compensation?
• INSTEAD of creating a tax system that eventually gives people their money back, why not just let them keep their own damn money in the first place?
• ACCORDING to you, "there will be no carbon tax under the government I lead".
• Would you mind telling us who does lead this Government, then? Otherwise I've sent this to the wrong person.

......Yours truly, Joe Citizen.

THE MYTH OF IMMIGRATION NATION

by Peter West:
The Weekend Australian
(January 15 – 16, 2011) featured a full-page advertisement for SBSOne’s Immigration Nation: The Secret History of Us. “After World War 2 Mass Migration to Australia Encouraged”. The *small print reads:
“Terms and Conditions apply. Australia is accepting white migrants only. All coloured people excluded. Immigration restrictions against the majority of humanity apply. White Australia Policy designed to keep Australia white”.

That well fits the tone of this three part series which is essentially the film version of the standard black arm band view of the immigration and multiculturalism lobby.
We are to feel guilty for wanting an Anglo Saxon country to survive. Imagine the Chinese or the Japanese showing such a program about their country and their presently existing “yellow China” and “yellow Japan” Policies!

In the same edition of The Weekend Australian (“Mum Raped by Seven as Her Kids Slept Nearby”, p.11) it is reported that seven young males aged between 14 and 21 “who came to Australia as refugees from Sudan or Afghanistan” had applied for bail in the Bendigo Magistrates’ and Children’s Courts, charged with 17 offences, including rape and assault.
The “alleged” female victim had been to a bar and a 16-year-old girl introduced her to the group. They went back to the “alleged victim’s” house where after an “initially…pleasant” party, she was dragged into her own laundry, assaulted and raped. Video footage of the assault and rape was recorded on one of the rapists – sorry, alleged rapist’s – mobile phones.

Now my point is a purely logical one. If the multiculturalists and immigrationists can express the ideology in their books, articles and media creations that the White Australia Policy was an outright evil like segregation and slavery (obviously not as bad) then presumably it could have no good consequences, even unintended.

But clearly if the White Australia Policy had not been undermined by the “white ants” then at a minimum, if that woman had existed in hypothetical 2011 White Australia World, she would not have been raped by these refugees and so, would probably not have been raped at all.
So, as a point of logic, not everything about the White Australia Policy is evil, even from the perspective of multiculturalism, provided of course that the multiculturalist is not a moral nihilist and denies that rape is a bad thing, morally.

Overall though, my objection to Immigration Nation’s ideology is more fundamental. Just as Japan and China and most of Asia hold to immigration policies which are today, more restrictive than Australia was in pre-1946, I regard Immigration Nation as philosophically incoherent. It is singling out Australia for moral punishment it does not deserve. Why not criticise Asian nations as well?

All this, funded by the majority of tax payers who belong to the racial-ethnic group they criticise! [The same edition of The Weekend Australian also featured a magazine article by Kate Legge, essentially putting the case for “gay marriage”. Again I ask: since we are now “Asian” how about having this liberal policy when our Asian neighbours in say China and the Phillipines, adopt it?

And, as our Asian population, especially Muslim population grows, will it really be in the spirit of ethnic diversity and Asianism, for liberal policies such as gay marriage to be promoted? After all, the elites tell us that we have to become a republic to make our Asians feel “at home”.
But what if our new “Australians” find that they do not like various aspects of the new world order morality which the cosmopolitan new class are imposing on us all? What happens when aspects of this chaotic philosophy, begin to clash? Perhaps, after the clash, the crash?
