REFERENDUM PLANS ABANDONED, TIME TO HAND BACK THE TAXES

Thanks to the tireless efforts of so many citizens and civic groups Kevin Rudd is going to an election but abandoning referendum plans.

EDWARD SNOWDEN GRANTED TEMPORARY STAY IN RUSSIA

NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden has been granted temporary asylum in Russia and is allowed to enter the country’s territory. Snowden's legal representative Anatoly Kucherena said, with his words later confirmed by Russia’s Federal Migration service, “I have just handed over to him papers from the Russian Immigration Service. They are what he needs to leave the transit zone,” he added.

Kucherena showed a photocopy of the document to the press. According to it, Snowden is free to stay in Russia until at least 31 July, 2014. His asylum status may be extended annually upon request. With his newly-awarded legal status in Russia, Snowden cannot be handed over to the US authorities, even if Washington files an official request. He can now be transported to the United States only if he agrees to go voluntarily.

A statement by the WikiLeaks has revealed the words Snowden said after he was handed the Russian asylum certificate: "Over the past eight weeks we have seen the Obama administration show no respect for international or domestic law, but in the end the law is winning,” the NSA leaker stressed. “I thank the Russian Federation for granting me asylum in accordance with its laws and international obligations."

His present location has not been made public nor will it be disclosed, Kucherena said. “He is the most wanted person on earth and his security will be a priority,” the attorney explained.

Looking at his table of contents, he doesn’t seem to have a fully worked out an alternative on finance. So I wonder if his new civilisation will also be destined to remake the same mistakes that are bringing this civilisation down?

THE FUNDAMENTALIST RELIGION OF ATHEISM

One of the joys of internet surfing is the unexpected treasures one finds. A recent example for me is Jim Goad’s “The Underbelly of Disbelief” (Takimag.com 1 July 2013) which argues that atheism has become a religion in itself. I agree.

Further, associated with this movement is the humanistic/sceptic movement, which, in its various magazines, devotes considerable energy to criticising so-called anti-scientific beliefs. Sometimes they do good work but never are really dangerous dogmas criticised, such as the cult of equality, multiracialism, multiculturalism and the like.

Goad calls such beliefs ‘liberal creationism’, a good term. Goad points out that more people have died at the hands of atheists, such as communists, than from religious zealots. This is a death toll that atheists never recognise or accept, indicating that we are indeed dealing with a cult which is fanatical and … evil.

The facts of this situation would make a good movie, better than the Da Vinci Code because it is based on reality: “Catholic Church Fears Growing Vatican Bank Scandal” (Spiegel Online, July 2, 2012).
A concise summary is given at the Silverdoctors.com site, “J P Morgan Complicit in Vatican Bank Money-Laundering”

J.P. Morgan was the Vatican’s chief bank: Commenting on The Council of Europe’s preliminary report on money-laundering by the Vatican, Silverdoctors.com says:
“It is clear that J.P. Morgan is complicit in money-laundering in Europe with the Vatican, having abetted Vatican bank money-laundering and fraud by allowing IRS-defined suspicious transactions pass through their institution.”

“The financial account allegedly processed more than a billion euros for the Vatican bank through last year. Italian investigators suspect the account was used to launder funds from “dubious sources”. According to the strict anti-money-laundering laws to which financial institutions are supposed to be held, J.P. Morgan should be considered a primary suspect in massive money-laundering operations in Europe, centred at the Vatican bank… The transfers did not come with information regarding account holders or purposes for the transfers. Of that amount, 20 million pounds apparently was heading to the Vatican’s J.P. Morgan account in Frankfurt. The other 3 million euros were heading for an account at a different bank in Rome”.

Federal prosecutors in Rome froze the funds after investigating the head of the Vatican bank, Ettore Gotti Tedeschi. Investigators found in Tedeschi’s home a secret dossier which included anonymous numbered accounts and “questionable transactions as well as written and electronic communications reportedly showing how Church banking officials circumvented European regulations aimed at combating money-laundering.”

Cutting to the chase, what is the source of the illegal money? Spiegel Online quotes one of Tedeschi’s memos which says, “I’ve seen things in the Vatican that scare me”. In the Vatican, the bank is known as the Institute for Works of Religion (IOR) but it is really “akin to a trust company for clandestine monetary transactions that is not only used by the Church, but allegedly also by the mafia as well as corrupt politicians and companies.” And they criticise us for believing in conspiracy theories!
This is not the first such scandals. Since the IOR was formed in 1942 it has faced scandal after scandal such as mafia money-laundering connections and bribery money for politicians.

The Spiegel Online article says:
“Many who have become ensnared in illegal business dealings with the Vatican bank have been forced to pay with their lives, while others have spent years behind bars. Despite all of its sacred and solemn promises, the Vatican has succeeded in keeping the pope’s bank a haven for money-launderers. And instead of being on some Caribbean island, this one is right in the middle of Europe, in the heart of Rome.”
“Whereas Benedict XVI and his predecessors have preached humility and ethical financial dealings from the window overlooking St. Peter’s Square, his confidants working directly beneath papal windows have continued to pursue shady financial transactions.” This is a metaphor for our times.  

U.S. RACE WAR? MAYBE NEXT TIME – OR HAS IT ALREADY STARTED?

The trial of Hispanic neighbourhood watcher George Zimmerman of the second degree murder of black youth, Trayvon Martin has ended without a race war (yet) and a disappointed media. Professional race baiters actively campaigned to have Zimmerman prosecuted, even after authorities said that there was not enough evidence to prosecute. Obama himself said: “If I had a son, he’d look like Trayvon”, indicating that someone who has written about transcending racial identity politics, hasn’t. The aftermath of the case has seen Tweets by twits on Twitter, saying that they are going to “kill Zimmerman”. Yes, that is justice, America-today style.

Media manufactures some ‘Racism’
The liberal media portrayed Zimmerman as a “racist” who profiled Trayvon even though the FBI found no evidence of any racist statements being made. On the contrary, Trayvon referred to Zimmerman as a “creepy-ass cracker” – “cracker” is a racist term used to describe whites and “creepy-ass” is a homophobic term. Trayvon may have thought that Zimmerman was a homosexual. In this case the bashing of Zimmerman was itself a “hate” crime.

The liberal media made much of Zimmerman’s 911 phone call where he said “This guy looks like he’s up to no good. He looks black.” The media edited out a number of sentences between these two. The sentence “He looks black” was in fact an answer to a question by the 911 operator “Is he black, white or Hispanic?” No racism there but the media wanted to find some so they manufactured it. I guess a repeat of the Rodney King riots would have sold a lot of newspapers or boosted ratings.

Worst of all, the liberal media proclaimed Trayvon a victim of racism, shot merely for “buying skittles in a hoodie”. The brutal beating that he gave Zimmerman was conveniently forgotten/ ignored. Photos of Zimmerman with a broken nose and bashed face were not seen by the jury: too prejudicial. The liberal media though, did not take up the cause of the four black minors who, in the course of the 20-day Zimmerman trial, were gunned down in Obama’s hometown of Chicago. No race card there to play. Despite all of these bad things, the jury of six women (five white, one Hispanic, the sole black was dismissed by the prosecution) still upheld the rule of law. That at least is one ray of light in the otherwise darkness.

Further comment
Black rioters and looters in Oakland California lit fires, smashed business windows and fought police following the Zimmerman verdict. A Wal-Mart was damaged in South Los Angeles and black youths attacked a Hispanic in Baltimore saying: “This is for Trayvon”. As with the aftermath of the O.J. Simpson trial where blacks fist pumped their glee at the “not guilty” verdict, what seems to be important is not the truth of the matter but ensuring that the politically correct status quo is not upset.  

SHARIA LAW IN AUSTRALIA

Brian Simpson has given me his dog-eared copy of Ian Lowe’s “Bigger or Better?” (2012) and I have had a look at Lowe’s sweeping comments criticising anti-immigrationists, those concerned about Islam and Sharia law and those alarmed at gun control measures (see pp.169-170).
Others at this site will no doubt take Lowe on, on various issues, but for this comment consider the issue of Sharia law. Are those concerned about Sharia law just an uneducated “lunar” fringe?

Consider the academic paper by Ann Black and Kerrie Sadiq, “Good and Bad Sharia: Australia’s Mixed Response to Islamic Law”, University of New South Wales Law Journal, Vol34 (1), 2001 a good summary paper:
. Islam is a pluralistic phenomenon with its own internal divisions, and adherence to Sharia Law takes various forms, they point out. Australia has supported Sharia compliant banking and finance (p.388) but has not embraced Sharia Family Law such as legalising polygamy.

So technically Lowe is wrong in his blanket criticism (implying that only the ‘far right’ are critics) approach because the matter of Sharia Law is complex, and there are criticisms of aspects of this from mainstream positions.
Beyond all of this, people are concerned about matters reported in the papers such as forced marriages of young girls, honour killings, female genital mutilation, polygamy and so on.  

THE TYRANNY OF TECHNOLOGY

Writers at this site have produced many pieces raising doubts about the sanity of what is essentially a religion of the modern age: faith in technology. Many people know little about the science behind technological innovations and even less about the politics. Innovations are simply accepted without question and it is society and people who just have to adapt. Technology aids the related religions of economic growth and Mammonism, the worshipping of money and consumption. Without the magic of technology the system would have collapsed long ago.

In “Techno-Fix: Why Technology Won’t Save Us or the Environment” New Society Publishers, Michael and Joyce Huesemann give a comprehensive critique of technology. Technologies have limits and unintended consequences and are usually based upon reductionist, mechanistic and materialist assumptions – logically enough because technologies are created and driven not by the philosophy of meeting human need, but by the profit motive: research funds are typically only given by funding bodies for projects likely to earn dollars.

Beyond even the profit motive is an irrational technological imperative that if it can be done, it must be done. Thus, for example, if it is possible to genetically engineer organisms, then it must be done. There is the “mad scientist” aspect to much scientific and technological research which could ultimately lead to the destruction of life. Combating techno-mania will not be easy, but at least Techno-Fix takes the first big steps in exposing this doctrine of tyranny and I think, psychopathology.

THE FUTURE OF HATE SPEECH LAW

Professor James Allan has published a large number of articles criticising Australia’s race hate legislation and continues to do a good job. The latest article is: “Hate Speech Law Must Go”, (The Australian, July 9, 2013, p.10). Professor Allan argues that robust free speech requires a repeal of the whole of section 18C, the provision that nailed journalist Andrew Bolt.
This section makes it illegal to publicly speak any discourse “reasonably likely to offend, insult, humiliate or intimidate” some victim group. The courts have decided, because legislation did not, that the legal test is one of a reasonable person of the offended group. Thus the test is that those playing the victim are the test of what offends, insults, humiliates or intimidates. I agree that that is “bonkers” but it suits those who use this law as a political weapon.

The problem here, as I as well have argued for years, is that almost nothing can get by this test. Views that particular ethno-racial groups don’t like thereby get crushed. Allan hopes that the Liberals will repeal at least most of section 18C as has been done in Canada for its equally hideous race hate legislation. Allan observes that the sky hasn’t fallen in Canada, and by implication, it won’t here either. I don’t see the Liberals repealing section 18C.

Labor under Rudd is likely to revive Gillard’s even more radical assault on free speech. As a matter of compromise, what could be done even under the Gillard proposal, and even with a reversal of the burden of proof, is to even the balance by explicitly legislating on the test of race hate. It is simply insanity to permit a victim group to be the test of offence etc. As with other areas of law (e.g. public decency offences) the test should be that of a reasonable person in the community. I believe that the present test is so flawed that a High Court challenge could defeat it.  

ANGLO SURVIVAL AND THE BREAK UP OF AUSTRALIA

It is good to see Bob Katter raising the issue of north Queensland becoming a new state. (The Australian, July 12, 2013, p.4) I would like to go further in my opposition to centralisation. Australia should break up – and on ethno-racial political grounds. Those wanting Australianisation, multiculturalism, feminism and the rest can live in Asiaasia, a big melting pot taking in the east of the country.
This is not apartheid, or maybe it is, but it is completely and utterly anti-racist. In this world racial tensions will be zero and freedom high. We Traditionalists will no longer have to suffer living with our enemies. We all could live in peace inside our own boarders.

For the new ethno-state of Anglo-Australia – name to be decided but New Britannia is suggested – we could preserve the WASP culture and race. British people no longer wanting to live in Britain would be free to come and rebuild. This ethno-statism is a real form of genuine “multiculturalism” rather than the present mind-virus form, which is just a version of racial nihilism because it will allow races and cultures to survive and flourish in peace. Perhaps it is time that we simply moved beyond dated nationalist entities such as “Australia” and joined the devolution movement.  

AN ANTI-CHINESE RANT? REALLY?

The Murdoch media took Clive Palmer to task for an alleged “anti-Chinese rant”. (The Australian, July 10, 2013, p.2) Apparently Mr Palmer is suing The Australian for defamation about reports made about his business dealings. The Chinese controversy arises from a call allegedly made to a Chinese executive in July 2010 where Mr Palmer blows the guy out for people “refusing to pay the rent”.
He uses four letter words and tells them to go back to China if they won’t do the right thing. (Transcript published The Australian, Jul 9, 2013, p.5) Of course the “racist” bogey was raised and Palmer had to spend time defending himself from this allegation. There is nothing “racist” in telling people who one believes are ripping you off to “pack up all your f…n gear and get back to China”. Come on now The Australian, we hear worse language on the playground!

The issue here is not Mr Palmer’s anger, which may be justified, but that the Chinese allegedly have failed to meet their contractual duties. The media should have focussed on that. Or how about focussing on Rupert Murdoch’s comments that Scotland Yard investigators were “incompetent” and that the practice of paying of police with “tip-offs” was a century old? This, to my mind implies police corruption at the highest level, an allegation made by a media leader.

To date there has been not much coverage of this (The Australian, July 11, 2013, p.8), no doubt because space has been taken up with less touchy and sensitive matters, like “anti-Chinese rants”. Ah, nothing sells papers to the chattering class like a bit of “racism”, the pornography of the new class.  

THE MORAL VERDICT ON BRADLEY MANNING

The sun rose with a moral verdict on Bradley Manning well before the military judge could proclaim his guilt. The human verdict would necessarily clash with the proclamation from the judicial bench. In lockstep with administrators of the nation’s war services, judgment day arrived on Tuesday to exact official retribution. After unforgivable actions, the defendant’s culpability weighed heavy.
“Our apologies, good friends, for the fracture of good order, the burning of paper instead of children, the angering of the orderlies in the front parlour of the charnel house,” another defendant, Fr. Daniel Berrigan, wrote about another action that resulted in a federal trial, 45 years earlier, scarcely a dozen miles from the Fort Meade courtroom where Bradley Manning faced prosecution for his own fracture of good order.

“We could not, so help us God, do otherwise,” wrote Berrigan, one of the nine people who, one day in May 1968 while the Vietnam War raged on, removed several hundred files from a U.S. draft board [office] in Catonsville, Maryland, and burned them with napalm in the parking lot. “For we are sick at heart...” On the surface, many differences protrude between those nine draft-files-burning radical Catholics and Bradley Manning. But I wonder. Ten souls saw cruelties of war and could no longer just watch.

“I prefer a painful truth over any blissful fantasy,” Manning wrote in an online chat. Minutes later he added: “I think I’ve been traumatized too much by reality, to care about consequences of shattering the fantasy.” And he also wrote: “I want people to see the truth ... regardless of who they are ... because without information, you cannot make informed decisions as a public.”

Those words came seven weeks after the world was able to watch the “Collateral Murder” video (Preview) that Manning had provided to WikiLeaks. And those words came just days before military police arrived to arrest him on May 29, 2010.

BRADLEY MANNING - FROM AN ASIAN PERSEPECTIVE

In a show trial/kangaroo court with an American twist, worthy of the Cultural Revolution in 1960s China, Bradley Manning was predictably found guilty of multiple counts of violating the Espionage Act. If only Walter Benjamin were alive to see the Angel of History once again throwing one of his trademark lightning bolts of irony; Manning was pronounced guilty of being a spy - by a Pentagon judge - just next door to Spy Central, the NSA headquarters in Fort Meade, Maryland.

The prosecution, applying the full force of the US government, derided Manning as a "traitor" - not a whistleblower. Manning indeed betrayed the Pentagon's Full Spectrum Dominance doctrine - detailing how the imperial industrial-military-surveillance complex kills civilians with impunity (as in the "Collateral Murder" video); how the imperial wars on Afghanistan and Iraq were being (mis)conducted; what goes on in the Guantanamo gulag; and how the State Department bullies US satrapies.

He betrayed the Imperial Masters of the Universe, and as this is not a Marvel Comics summer blockbuster he had to go down… Read further

ANOTHER DAY, ANOTHER SCIENTIFIC FRAUD

Science today is ‘god’, not the only god, but still a god. Money is the supreme deity, governing everything, because money is power. Science is part of the pantheon because science and technology generate money. Now US researchers have investigated the reasons why large numbers of scientific papers in the biomedical and life sciences are retracted.
Published in Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, they concluded that fraud is a big reason for retraction, and retraction often occurs because authorities are on to the fraud. Because of extensive financial rewards and the demands of Big Pharma there is considerable temptation to falsify results.

This is no doubt a problem right throughout science and I am surprised that the American racial realists who religiously believe that “Asians are smarter than Whites” haven’t taken a more critical look at IQ research, rather than blindly trusting published papers. Science must be viewed as critically as any other ideology.  

THROWING OUT, ‘OUT OF AFRICA’

The “Out of Africa” hypothesis is the idea that modern humans evolved in Africa about 100,000 years ago and them migrated to the rest of the world. The theory gained popularity in 1987 when molecular biologists claimed that all living people could be traced back to an African woman “Eve” who lived 200,000 years ago. This study was found to be flawed, but that did not prevent the idea being promoted because the “Mother Africa” notion fits the multiculturalism and multiracialism of the times.

Way back in 1999 (Scientific American, August 1999) an article “Is Out of Africa Going Out the Door?” gave many of the genetic objections, namely that the genetic clock made certain assumptions about the mutation rate and calibration date. The article also mentions the discovery of a fossil in New South Wales “Lake Mungo 3” which is 60,000 years old which has “modern features”. Other Australian fossils date at 20,000 years.
Now supposedly the Aborigines have been in Australia for 40,000 years – that is part of the ideology of land rights. So what race of people were here 60,000 years ago? Were they proto-typical Aboriginals or another race entirely? It is a pity that political correctness is likely to obscure the search for truth in this area because free enquiry may yield conclusions that the establishment will not like.

Vladimir Putin has urged the world’s political leaders to stop the violent persecutions against Christians that have erupted in many Middle Eastern countries. Speaking at a meeting with Orthodox Christian leaders in Moscow recently, the Russian President said he noted “with alarm” that “in many of the world’s regions, especially in the Middle East and in North Africa inter-confessional tensions are mounting, and the rights of religious minorities are infringed, including Christians and Orthodox Christians.”

“This pressing problem should be a subject of close attention for the entire international community,” Putin said. “It is especially important today to make efforts to prevent intercultural and interreligious conflicts, which are fraught with the most serious upheavals.” Putin praised the growth of co-operation between the Orthodox Churches and the Russian state, saying, “We act as genuine partners and colleagues to solve the most pressing domestic and international tasks, to implement joint initiatives for the benefit of our country and people.”

The Russian Federation recently passed legislation making it illegal to promote homosexuality as normal, a move that, while condemned by many European leaders, was strongly supported by the Orthodox Church. Putin added that the Church was giving Russians a moral compass when so many were looking for help.
“Today when people are once again searching for moral support, millions of our compatriots see it in religion,” he said. “They trust the wise, pastoral word of the Russian Orthodox Church.”

He added that it was the Church that was ultimately responsible for the development and rise of “culture and education” in Russia over the last 1,000 years. “The adoption of Christianity became a turning point in the fate of our fatherland, made it an inseparable part of the Christian civilization and helped it turn into one of the largest world powers,” Putin said.
The head of the Russian Orthodox Church, Patriarch Kirill, said at the same meeting that the attempts to push Christians out of Syria would lead to a “civilization catastrophe.” Kirill and other Orthodox leaders have been critical of the lack of response to the crisis facing Christians in the Middle East by US and other Western leaders.

The meeting was held with the leaders of all 15 Orthodox Churches to commemorate the 1,025th anniversary of the “Baptism of Russia” – the official adoption of Christianity and establishment of the Russian Orthodox Church in Kievan Rus by Prince Vladimir in 988 A.D. Read further here…

THE REAL LEGACY OF JULIA

Before our memories of the harms that Julia Gillard, the Red Queen, did during her reign fade as we face the new tyrannies of Rudd-a-dud-dud, consider the plight of single mothers struggling to survive on Julia’s welfare cuts. (e.g. The Advertiser, July 6, 2013, p.4) Many women who have lost up to $100 a week are sleeping in their cars with their children.
What a disgrace, all from a feminist, or so-called feminist, who if she is remembered at all, will be seen as our first “Women’s Studies I” PM!
Worse yet, Rudd has not moved to reverse this utterly cruel assault on vulnerable women. Julia Gillard – when you eat your fine food at dinner time, think about the women that you have degraded and forced to dumpster-dive. Shame on you!!  

THE ALL-SMILING, ALL-LAUGHING GLOBALIST

Ah, the super-blonde, happy-go-lucky business man Sir Richard Branson appears to enjoy life immensely. Why with all his bags of money he still has time to dress up as an air hostess, drive a Sherman tank through the streets of New York and even get up to the top of a Las Vegas hotel and bungee jump in a tuxedo. Yes, here is a man who appreciates that life is short, fleeting, and that each moment must be seized and savoured.

But Richard has time to devote to “The Elders” a group first chaired by Desmond Tutu in 2007, and now chaired by Kofi Anan. The members are all independent of government and hand-picked by none other than Nelson Mandela. Well, Nelson the great hero of liberals everywhere probably isn’t doing much at the moment as he seems to be preoccupied dying, but not doubt, like in Star Wars, he will return after his death, even stronger and more politically correct than before.

“The Elders” champion peace and “universal human rights” – and we all know what that means. Branson sits “at the feet of these people” who “have enough experience and exposure and understanding to take the high moral ground on most issues” (Momentum, June, 2013, p.11)
At present “The Elders” are meeting in Ireland to solve the Syrian conflict. Such are the conspiring global elites who shape our world, while as always, the ordinary people just graze on the daily pastures, waiting to be milked each evening.

Saturday 5th October the Seminar will again feature Mrs Ann Bressington MLC speaking on Agenda 21, Mr. Adam Vosey of Roseneath Organics and Mr. Matt Quinn of S.A. Composters. Both gentlemen have interesting historical backgrounds and a story to tell of the way forward for healthy soil and healthy bodies.  
Sunday will commence with a Divine Service followed by an Action Conference. Do plan to be there!
