Science of the Social Credit Measured in Terms of Human Satisfaction
1st February 2008 Thought for the Week:

"Britain adopted the beginnings of a new theory of life completely alien to her genius - the conception of the country as a single factory having many departments, the head office and central control-room being the Bank of 'England'."
- - C.H. Douglas "Brief for the Prosecution," 1946

"My generation has seen the decay of ordinary morality, standards of decency, sportsmanship, politeness, respect for the law, family values, politics and education and religion, the very character of the British.... Indeed, there may never have been such an enslaved generation, in thrall to hang-ups, taboos, restrictions and oppressions unknown to their ancestors (to say nothing of being knee-deep in debt, thanks to the moneylender's economy)."
- - George MacDonald Fraser
"The Light's On At the Signpost," 2007

Give thanks for the land of your birth, there is still none better.
But let's make it better with our own deeds and behaviour and prayers.

Australia Day

Australians are a funny lot, you'll often hear one curse,

How things have started badly, and they'll probably get worse,

The weathers dry, the sun's so hot it's stolen all the water,

The Government has never done the things we think they oughta'.

But if we hear a tourist say his home is much more grand,

They had better be prepared to make a very solid stand.

For although we Aussies may complain at what's become our lot,

When someone knocks this country, we defend with all we've got.

We may criticize some teenage brat, may even wish them failure,

But we stand behind them cheering when they're playing for Australia.

Because, if this is home to you, the country of your birth,

Then you back the native player to beat anyone on Earth.

When the cricket bats are swinging or when someone scores a try,

When a home grown horse has won the cup and made the owner cry,

When some paralympic athlete hits the front and sets the pace,

You'll hear "Aussie Aussie Aussie" as the crowd goes off their face.

And although we like to take a break in overseas locations,

If you take the time to question this nomadic population,

They will tell you without blinking that wherever they may roam,

The best part of the journey was the last bit, ....coming home.

For the sun was never brighter on the beach at Waikiki,

Than it is on all the sandy shores Australia has to see,

The water never purer nor the air as fresh and clear,

The people never friendlier than those that we have here.

If you venture to the outback where grass is scarce as snow,

As you swelter you may wonder what it was that made you go,

But just look at the locals who have lived there since their birth,

And I know you will not find a better class of folk on earth.

All across this wide brown country from the Cape to Hobart town,

There are people who will help you when you find the chips are down,

And if someone should abuse you, and does it just because,

Then that person's not Australian, and that person never was.

So when you feel disgruntled just remember this rendition,

And never blame the country for the acts of politicians,

Look up and count your blessings when you see our flag unfurled,

And be grateful that you live in the best country in the world.

'MARKET SLIDE CONTINUES' - THE CRUNCH COMES

from Jeremy Lee
Today (January 22) we have had the biggest stock market fall in a decade, and over the last 11 days, the biggest in a quarter of a century. It is obvious that the main media commentators - bank economists, etc. - have no idea of the real causes of the crunch, its history and how far it is likely to go. There are now a number of well-documented newsletters that give a much more reliable description of the global crisis - even though they may not have the answers. These give a chilling, though accurate picture.

The answer lies in true Social Credit (as opposed to social debt); but what agonies we must endure, before the world finally confronts the banks and the debt crisis, is anyone's guess!

WHERE DID THE $100 BILLION GO?

by Betty Luks
Two ABC radio personalities were trying to 'get their minds around' just what is happening within that mysterious world of finance - and in particular, what could be happening to their own superannuation funds. An economist from one of the universities was interviewed and many a question was posed with one whom they considered to be an authority on the subject. The one question I picked up on was: "The headlines read that 100 billion Australian dollars have been wiped off the value of shares in the stock market. Where has this $100 billion gone?" The 'expert' went into a whole lot of gobbledegook which wouldn't have made the slightest bit of sense to most of us. The following morning another 'expert' was brought forth and this one did admit that share trading on the stock market was a gamble.

Now one wonders what the ordinary worker would have done had he realised that when he was legally forced into a Superannuation Fund scheme by Paul Keating's Labor government it would be used by the investment managers for a form of gambling. I would think he would have wanted something more concrete than that! But then, the ordinary worker is so ignorant of the concocted myths and fables woven around this mysterious world of 'money'.

What 'form' did this 100 billion of Australian dollars take?
The two radio announcers might have gained a better understanding of what happened to the $100 billion had they asked: "What form did this $100 billion dollars actually take? Was it in a form that we think is 'money'? Was it gold, or silver or notes or coins?
Both fellows thought that somewhere within the mysterious system of finance and stock markets, their superannuation funds consisted of something tangible, something like notes and coins, which, in their own minds they equated with 'money'.
Or, as the truth is known, was it simply blips on a computer originating - i.e., it first came into existence - on a computer ledger sheet of a moneylender somewhere within the mysterious financial system?

Another question they could have asked:
Does this 'money' reflect the real physical world that we see all round us? Do our superannuation funds reflect the equivalent in real goods? If the 100 billion dollars are simply a reflection of real goods flowing out of our nation's production systems - which, vaguely, in our minds is what we think - what has happened to the equivalent real goods? There are so many questions these two fellows could have asked that might have taken them on to another most important question never asked: What should be the true, realistic purpose of a society's financial (accounting) system ?

For those readers who would honestly like to 'get their minds around' this thing called 'money' and what should be its true role in any just and realistic sense, we recommend they seriously study the works of Clifford Hugh Douglas, Eric D. Butler and Jeremy W. Lee.
The League carries a large range of books, videos, audios and DVDs dealing with the related subjects.

For those who just want to think about what is the true purpose of a money system the series of booklets "Introducing Social Credit" is to be recommended.

UNHERALDED NEWS: SHAME ON THEM FOR THEIR BRUTAL WAYS

Israeli blockade paralyses Gaza life:
A bully often claims the victim beat himself, knowing that only a preposterous lie has any chance of being believed when he is caught red handed. The Israeli military slaughtered about 30 Gazans last week, and has penned up 1.5 million behind a fence, keeping them in place by killing anyone who approaches the fence. Now Israel has cut off most of the Gazan's food and fuel in the coldest season. And when Israel is questioned by the press about its brutality, it claims someone else did it! : http://whtt.org/index.php?id=PhariseeWatch&cat=2

The IDM, the official propaganda mechanism says:
"Israeli Defense Ministry spokesman Shlomo Dror said a reduction of rocket attacks this week was not enough to lift the blockade... Dror and other Israeli officials charged that Hamas was creating a false crisis and could resume the electricity if it wanted...Olmert said he would not allow a humanitarian crisis to unfold, but also warned that Gaza's 1.5 million residents won't be able to live a "pleasant and comfortable life" as long as southern Israel comes under rocket attack from Gaza...."As far as I'm concerned Gaza residents will walk, without gas for their cars, because they have a murderous, terrorist regime that doesn't let people in southern Israel live in peace," Olmert told legislators from his Kadima Party."

Gaza power plant shuts down due to fuel blockade:
Haaretz
, Israel Jan 20, 2008 - In addition to the fuel it receives from Israel to power its electrical plant, Gaza gets about two-thirds of its electricity directly from Israel. Israeli officials said that supply would not be affected. According to a report by Israel Radio, the southern Gaza cities of Rafah and Khan Yunis have begun to receive electricity from Egypt.... Four hours after the blackout, Hamas says that five patients died because of the cutoff of electricity in hospitals. Hamas officials shut down the plant and plunged Gaza City and the northern strip into total darkness, Gaza Energy Authority head Kanan Obeid said. TV crews and reporters were invited to witness the shutdown just before 8 P.M., when Gaza residents took to the streets in protest. Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas demanded that Israel cease its blockade of Gaza and renew the flow of fuel to the Strip.

An Everyday Occurrence in Gaza: Israeli air strike on Hamas:
One attack on Gaza, was like several I witnessed from an American aircraft, with a combined destructive power greater than all the rockets, homemade bombs and bullets launched from Gaza in the last six months. We ask, how would you like to raise your family in this neighborhood...Which side is retaliating and who is the bully?... Palestinians gather to inspect the damage caused by an Israeli air strike on Hamas run interior ministry offices in Gaza City, Friday Jan. 18, 2008. The derelict local offices of the ministry had been vacant since it was severely damaged in a July 2006 air strike but it is situated in the heart of a residential neighbourhood and hospital officials said a woman was killed and at least 46 other civilians were injured by flying debris and shrapnel. IF POLAR BEARS CAN SURVIVE -- WHAT'S THE PROBLEM?

A new fossil find shows that Polar Bears have been around for well over 100,000 years, placing them in the Eemian Interglacial period (135 to 115k BP). During that time, temperatures were significantly warmer than at present (+5OC). And clearly they survived those temperatures. It sounds as though forecasts of their imminent extinction may be a bit premature.

Quaternary geologist Professor Dr. Olafur Ingolfsson of the University of Iceland discovered the new fossil. He says "The polar bear is basically a brown bear that decided some time ago that it would be easier to feed on seals on the ice. So long as there are seals, there are going to be polar bears. I think the threat to the polar bears is much more to do with pollution, the build up of heavy metals in the Arctic ".

Indeed despite the alarmist claims, serious studies show that the polar bear is doing rather well, with populations increasing.

WHILE WE'RE ON THE SUBJECT OF 'CLIMATE CHANGE'

While the rest of Europe is debating the prospects of global warming during an unseasonably mild winter, a brutal cold snap is raging across the semi-autonomous nation of Greenland.
On Disko Bay in western Greenland, where a number of prominent world leaders have visited in recent years to get a first-hand impression of climate change, temperatures have dropped so drastically that the water has frozen over for the first time in a decade.

'The ice is up to 50cm thick,' said Henrik Matthiesen, an employee at Denmark's Meteorological Institute who has also sailed the Greenlandic coastline for the Royal Arctic Line. 'We've had loads of northerly winds since Christmas which has made the area miserably cold.'

Matthiesen suggested the cold weather marked a return to the frigid temperatures common a decade ago. Temperatures plunged to -25°C earlier this month, clogging the bay with ice and making shipping impossible for small crafts, according to Anthon Frederiksen, the mayor of the town of Ilulissat, where Disko Bay is located.
'On the other hand, it's an advantage for fishermen who rely on dogsleds for transportation,' Frederiksen said. But, to be on the politically correct safe-side, the mayor cautioned against thinking that the freezing temperature indicated that global warming claims were overblown.

He noted that a nearby glacier had retracted more in the past two decades than in recorded history. 'We Greenlanders have acclimated to changing conditions over the past 1100 years,' said Frederiksen. 'Temperatures change at regular intervals.'

Although Greenland's capital, Nuuk, and much of the island saw temperatures drop below -25° C yesterday, milder temperatures appeared to be on the way in the near future.

A MUSCLE-BOUND NEW WORLD ORDER GUY

by James Reed
I have always disliked body builder types and Arnold Schwarzenegger has topped my dislike list of the muscle-bound. In 2007 Governor Schwarzenegger signed bill SB777 which bans from public schools anything that the po0litically correct could perceive as negative towards homosexuality, bisexuality, transgenderism and the like. But of course there is no similar protection for students with traditional life styles.

Thus in the 'land of the free', "Mom and Dad" as well as "husband and wife" have been banned from Californian schools. As the Californian market is the largest US State market, this means that US textbooks will tend to reflect this trend as publishers will not print separate Californian books.
Big Arnie had vetoed an almost identical provision twelve months before but has now swung around.
This is the same Governor who, as a body builder, extensively used steroids and told a British magazine that marijuana was not a drug.

The champions of the New World Order have the right man for the job: Arnie's most noted role was playing a mindless programmed robot in the Terminator movies. Some may say that he is still playing that role as the "Governator"!

THE MYTH OF RACIST SLAVERY

by James Reed
The English-speaking world is celebrating the 200th year of the abolition of slavery in England. Such films as "Amazing Grace" are recalling the life-long struggle by William Wilberforce and others to have slavery outlawed in Britain.

In the United States, black slavery is the big politically correct stick used to smack naughty White nationalists. It is the equivalent of Australia's "White Australia Policy" for the cultural 'left' to use as ammunition in the cultural wars. However, much of this so-called 'ammunition' is based on myth.

Robert Fagel and Stanley Engerman in "Time on the Cross", 2 volumes (Little, Brown, Boston, 1974) have shown that over 70% of slave owners were themselves black. The first volume is an examination of the economics of American Negro slavery, with the second volume consisting of the data, equations, and statistical methods used to support the general conclusions given in the first volume.

They conclude slaves were rarely mistreated. Sexual abuse of black female slaves by Whites was rare. And large slave plantations were 34% more efficient than Southern 'free farms' and 35% more efficient than northern farms. The authors' discoveries earned them the Bancroft Prize of Columbia University.

Nevertheless, the "Roots" myth is politically useful and will be maintained by the anti-White establishment until US Whites have disappeared from that land and human history.

Editor's note: While not wishing to appear to condone slavery in any form, and noting that most working Australians are now merely wage-tax-financial slaves, and farmers no more than slaves of the banking system, one wonders how these figures compare with that 20th century Slave State - the USSR - and its per capita production figures.
And what about the discovery by Robert Fagel and Stanley Engerman that the American slave owners expropriated only 12 per cent of the value of the income produced by the slaves.
Dear wage-slave, when was the last time your financial-wage-slave masters expropriated but 12 per cent of your financial-income?

It is on record, one of the League's policies clearly states:
To promote financial policies which will reduce taxation, eliminate debt, and make possible material security for all with greater leisure time for cultural activities.

THE REPUBLICAN PLAN TO USE PLEBISCITES

from David Flint's Opinion Column
The Hon. Mchael Hodgman QC, MP, Her Majesty's Shadow Attorney General for the State of Tasmania writes: The discredited Australian Republican Movement will almost certainly try - by deceit and deception - to persuade the new Federal Government to put a plebiscite to the people of Australia on the 'need' for a Republic - using the totally dishonest Question 'Do you want an Australian Head of State?' The vote at the plebiscite will not have any Constitutional effect at all and it will not amend or change the Australian Constitution.
The Republicans have shown, by their past conduct, that they will engage in deceit and deception, and even though they were absolutely thrashed in the 1999 Republican Referendum, they will undoubtedly try to deceive the people of Australia again.

One indissoluble Federal Commonwealth under the Crown:
Not only must we be on guard - remembering the time honoured call-to-arms, 'The Price of Liberty is eternal Vigilance', we must, in fact, go on the offensive and run with the battle-cry that this is the Republicans last chance to change our great Australian Constitution, which proudly proclaims 'one indissoluble Federal Commonwealth under the Crown'. The cost to date of the failed 1999 Republican Referendum is over $200 million - a massive bill for the taxpayers of Australia, and money which would have been better spent on Police, roads, schools, hospitals, pensioners and battlers.

If there is both a plebiscite, as well as another looney crackpot Republican Referendum, the cost would be well in excess of $300 million and could even hit $400 million! Don't say you haven't been warned.
Australians for Constitutional Monarchy, our friends and supporters, and the overwhelming majority of Australians who voted so emphatically to retain our Australian Constitution - the best in the world - must be vigilant and on guard.

THE MARRING OF HILLARY'S DAY

from Philip Benwell, MBE:
The death of Sir Edmund Hillary and the celebration of his life at a State Funeral earlier today has been marred by republican politicking, both in New Zealand and in Australia. Anti-monarchists have sought to foment dissent because, as they falsely claim, The Queen should have sent a representative.

Under our system, it is the Governor-General of New Zealand who is The Queen's representative in New Zealand. It is a part of our system that neither The Queen nor any member of the Royal Family can officially visit our countries unless invited by our respective governments. Instead of inciting criticism of The Queen, people should ask why it was that the New Zealand Government did not act in this regard?

Even republicans must admit that The Queen had recognised Sir Edmund's magnificent achievements during his lifetime, knighting him shortly after her coronation in 1953 and, in 1995, honouring him with the Order of the Garter. Furthermore, in what the New Zealand Prime Minister, Helen Clark, has described as "a very rare and personal tribute".

Her Majesty has offered Sir Edmund's family a memorial service at St. George's Chapel at Windsor Castle, which is the home of the twenty four Knights of the Garter. Mr. Benwell is from the Australian Monarchist League.
