Climategate: the final nail in the coffin of 'Anthropogenic Global Warming'?
If you own any shares in alternative energy companies I should start dumping them NOW. The conspiracy behind the Anthropogenic Global Warming myth (aka AGW; aka ManBearPig) has been suddenly, brutally and quite deliciously exposed after a hacker broke into the computers at the University of East Anglia’s Climate Research Unit (aka Hadley CRU) and released 61 megabites of confidential files onto the internet. (Hat tip: Watts Up With That)

When you read some of those files – including 1079 emails and 72 documents – you realise just why the boffins at Hadley CRU might have preferred to keep them confidential.
As Andrew Bolt puts it, this scandal could well be “the greatest in modern science”. These alleged emails – supposedly exchanged by some of the most prominent scientists pushing AGW theory – suggest: Conspiracy, collusion in exaggerating warming data, possibly illegal destruction of embarrassing information, organised resistance to disclosure, manipulation of data, private admissions of flaws in their public claims and much more…

Manipulated or suppressed evidence: But perhaps the most damaging revelations – the scientific equivalent of the Telegraph’s MPs’ expenses scandal – are those concerning the way Warmist scientists may variously have manipulated or suppressed evidence in order to support their cause…

Manipulation of evidence: I’ve just completed Mike’s Nature trick of adding in the real temps to each series for the last 20 years (ie from 1981 onwards) and from 1961 for Keith’s to hide the decline.

Private doubts about whether the world really is heating up: The fact is that we can’t account for the lack of warming at the moment and it is a travesty that we can’t. The CERES data published in the August BAMS 09 supplement on 2008 shows there should be even more warming: but the data are surely wrong. Our observing system is inadequate.

Suppression of evidence: Can you delete any emails you may have had with Keith re AR4? Keith will do likewise. He’s not in at the moment – minor family crisis. WHAT YOU DIDN 'T KNOW: CARBON POLLUTION REDUCTION SCHEME

On March 12, 2009 the federal government unveiled its climate change legislation.

Here’s a few things I bet you didn’t know about it. The Carbon Pollution Reduction Scheme Bill (all 374 pages of it) says if you’re suspected of emitting too much carbon:
• your right to silence is abolished (clause 311-3)
• your right not to incriminate yourself is abolished (clause 300-1)
• the onus of proof is reversed. You need to prove you’re innocent instead of the government proving you’re guilty (clause 336-3).

Do suspected terrorists now have more rights than carbon emitters?

Right to privacy abolished: But wait ... there's more!
Your right to privacy has also been abolished. The government can pass on private information about you to practically anyone it wants, including foreign governments (clause 48-1(r)), and the United Nations (clause 48-1(s)). (This bit is in another piece of legislation -- the fantastically named Australian Climate Change Regulatory Authority Bill.)

The legislation isn't just draconian. It's Orwellian. Maybe MPs haven't actually read the legislation. Or (and this is more frightening) maybe they have read it and they don’t care.

Draft Copenhagen Treaty – foundation for one-world unelected government: Lord Monckton warned the public in Melbourne that the upcoming Copenhagen Summit in December this year will use global warming hype as a pretext to lay the foundation for a one-world unelected "communist-style" government with enormous powers.
Lord Christopher Monckton, a politician, business consultant, writer and former policy adviser to Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, told an audience at the Park Hyatt in Melbourne on 10 November 2009:
"At Copenhagen, this December, a treaty will be signed -- your prime minister will sign it. Most of the third-world countries will sign it because they think they're going to get money out of it. Most of the left-wing regimes around the world, like the European Union, will rubber-stamp it. Virtually nobody won't sign it.
"I have read that treaty and what it says is this: That a world government is going to be created. The word 'government' actually appears as the first of three purposes of the new entity.
"The second purpose is the transfer of wealth from the countries of the West to third-world countries in satisfaction of what is called, coyly, a 'climate debt', because we've been burning CO2 and they haven't and we've been [messing] up the climate. We haven't been [messing] up the climate, but that's the line.
"And the third purpose of this new entity, this government, is enforcement", Lord Monckton added.

The UN Framework Convention on Climate Change is a treaty that most world governments are expected to sign in Copenhagen in December 2009 -- including Britain and the United States. Lord Monckton told the audience that the 181-page working document of the treaty, which contains the word "government" in its Annex I, paragraph 38, transfers enormous powers, greater than any other governments' powers, to the unelected bureaucratic entity, which will be in charge of managing the most important aspect of Western societies without elections and polls. It does not mention the words "election", "ballot", "elected official" or "vote" anywhere in it.

According to Lord Monckton, by signing this document, all the industrial countries, including the United Kingdom and the United States, will forever take responsibility for the ills of other countries.

Page 6 of the document states: "PP.15 Further acknowledging that developed countries have a historical responsibility for their disproportionate contribution to the causes and consequences of climate change, reflecting their disproportionate historical use of a shared global carbon space since 1850 as well as their proposed continuing disproportional use of the remaining global carbon space ... Warming of the climate system, as a consequence of human activity, is unequivocal."

Page 38, "28. The adverse effects of climate change and response measures, due to the historical cumulative GHG emissions of developed countries, constitute an additional burden on all developing country Parties (particularly low-lying and other small island countries, countries with low-lying coastal, arid and semi-arid areas or areas liable to floods, drought and desertification, and developing countries with fragile mountainous ecosystems) in reducing poverty, developing strategies to address social vulnerabilities and attaining sustainable development and a threat to achieving the United Nations Millennium Development Goals."

Page 122, "17. (a) Compensate for damage to the LDC's economy and also compensate for lost opportunities, resources, lives, land and dignity ...’

Page 27, "(b) Particularly vulnerable populations, groups and communities, [or] All vulnerable groups whose adaptive capacity is low, [or] Groups requiring special protection ..."

Page 43, "41. (a) Assessed contributions of at least 0.7% of annual GDP of developed country Parties." These funds will go directly to governments and "community organisations". Page 39, "33. [The financial burden] must be at least USD 67 billion (in the range of USD 70-140 billion) per year."

The commitments of the developed countries are "economy wide". Page 58,
"7. (a) Mitigation commitments by all developed countries are legally binding economy wide and absolute quantified emission reduction commitments.
(b) Mitigation actions by developing countries are voluntary ..."

AND NOW TO THE EU

“Herman Van Rompuy, the EU's new President, may not be well-known, but he knows exactly what he's up to. No doubt as we contemplate the figure who has rocketed from obscurity to became "the President of Europe", we have all made silly little jokes about "Mr Rumpy".

After the eight tortuous years it has taken to get the "Constitution for Europe" into place, with all the talk of how vital it was for the EU to have a figurehead to represent Europe on the world stage as the equivalent of the President of the United States, some may now think of the poet Horace's famous line, parturient montes, nascetur ridiculus mus ("the mountains are in labour, and will give birth to a ridiculous mouse").

But it would be wrong to underestimate Herman Van Rompuy, the first permanent president of the European Council. This Belgian economist is a clever and ruthless political operator.
Once, to win a political battle, he changed the locks to prevent his opponents entering a crucial meeting. (For details of his character, see the Brussels Journal blog by one of his former colleagues, Paul Belien.) And the reason why he was very much the preferred candidate of the European Commission is that the one thing for which President Van Rompuy can be relied on is a determination to use all his crafty skills to further the power of our new government in Brussels.

To absorb ever more of national governments:
At the heart of the "European project", there has always been one core goal in all it does – to absorb ever more of the powers of national governments into the centre. And almost the only thing we know about Mr Van Rompuy's ambitions in his new office is that he wants "more Europe".

Much of his wish list may have been drearily familiar ever since the Addenino report of 1985: more flying of the "ring of stars" flag, more singing of the "European anthem", EU number plates on cars, EU identity cards. But the one thing the EU has needed to make its powers complete, and which not even its Constitution could give, was the power to levy its own direct taxes. It is no accident that this is now at the top of Mr Van Rompouy's list – nor that the way in which he plans to raise those taxes is by levying new charges on every kind of activity that emits CO2.

Way back in1991, Brussels first proclaimed its intention to give a "moral lead" to the world in "combating climate change". The following year it published plans for an EU-wide "carbon tax". Ever since, saving the planet has risen steadily higher on the EU's agenda, as the perfect idealistic cause to justify more new laws – from the landfill directive that has reduced our rubbish collection to chaos, to the legislation that forces us to encumber our countryside with useless wind turbines, and to use nasty, inefficient, mercury-filled light bulbs.
Still the one thing lacking, despite that 1992 proposal for a carbon tax, has been some way to harness this noble cause to provide an almost limitless source of money for the EU itself. How appropriate then that the coming into force of the EU's constitution should bring to power a man who wishes to see the EU funded entirely from taxes designed to save the world from global warming.

Unfortunately for the President, this has come to pass at just the moment when the scare over global warming is beginning to run out of steam. The science behind it looks increasingly shaky as the world heads for a Copenhagen conference which, as even its organisers admit, is unlikely to produce anything resembling the much tougher successor to Kyoto that they have striven for so long.

In other words, just when little Mr Rumpy imagines that he has found the Holy Grail of Brussels – an income source that will give the EU more money than it could ever have dreamed of – the cause he is relying on to provide the unlimited bonanza is itself beginning to disintegrate. As many might think, how neat it would be if both of these great edifices founded on wishful thinking should collapse together, leaving our new Mr President gazing forlornly from the bridge of his slowly sinking ship.”

IS ALL THAT GLITTERS NOT SOLID GOLD - - BUT TUNGSTEN ...?

Peoples of the various nations have been involved in the battle to defeat ‘climate change’ legislation which leads on to a UN Climate Change Treaty and further centralisation of political and financial power into the hands of the ‘one-worlders’. What is sad is that few realise their financial-commercial classes and politicians, sold off their nation’s sovereignty to international finance long before now.

But that shadowy world is being exposed to the light more and more as their fraudulent ponzi schemes unravel. This time the internet is agog with rumours of a great gold-tungsten scam.
I now know what that passage in Genesis really means: the gold of Havilah being ‘good’. Gold, an inert metal can be neither good nor bad – but a gold-backed financial system can be good – or bad, or fraudulent, or crooked, or evil, etc..

We will let some of those involved in the bullion markets give an outline of just what has happened. We have checked on some of the addresses given and yes they are the websites of gold traders.

One website reads - Harvey Organ's: have you already ordered your tungsten Bar?
Oct 17.09 commentary… important: Good morning to you all: Gold closed up 1.70 to 1050.70. Silver rose by a penny to 17.40
On Thursday, it was disclosed by Rob Kirby that in an "Asian depository", gold bricks were found to have been filled with Tungsten. I will again highlight that section for you to read:
I discussed these irregularities with a very informed source [the same one who informed me of specific [allocated] trades settled last week] and the reply I received was as follows:
“What can I tell you that you don't already know? They are all scrambling big time since a number of large interests have demanded audits. Independent auditors are NOW descending onto the various vaults to verify, validate and certify. They can move this as many times in circles as they like to try to fool people.
In an Asian depository they’ve found “Good Delivery” bricks that had been gutted and filled with tungsten.
Soon, there will be xxxx hitting the fan all over place.” by Rob Kirby… end.

There are two foreign depositories for gold:
1. Bank of England.
2. Bank of NY.
There is no doubt that the source of the "tungsten" is the Bank of England.
Tungsten is unique and one of its chief characteristics is that it has the same density of gold. Gold is very dense and so is tungsten. Tungsten is also very cheap.
One of the oldest scams is making a brick of tungsten and covering the brick with gold, sealing all the edges and covering the whole surface with real gold.
A London Good Delivery Gold Brick is a 400 oz gold brick, stamped on the bottom with the assayer (e.g. Johnson Mathey). The stamp would have the serial number and the weight of the bar to 3 decimal places.
If I were to buy gold from London and ship to say the bank of Nova Scotia, Scotia Macotta, the agent for the bank and for me would guarantee to me the purity and the weight. For this I pay insurance, shipping fees and storage fees. If the gold comes from their own inventory, they would not assay. If it comes from another vault, then one or two bricks would be assayed. The assay requires a hole to be drilled to make sure that gold is uniform. The core and the brick is then heated and reweighed and stamped and that new brick would have Good Delivery Status.
It would be a nightmare to assay every brick that comes to a bank.
It now seems that the Chinese asked for an assay on some of their bricks and lo and behold, some were filled with Tungsten. You can imagine the nightmare that this presents itself...

Speaking of fraud and the grim reaper…doctored gold bars.
Dear Bill, That was quite the bombshell from Rob Kirby yesterday about the "good delivery" bars filled with tungsten. When I was a bullion dealer, I was always on the lookout for counterfeits and tampered bars. In the last PM bull market, some 100 oz silver bars were drilled and filled with lead. However, this can be easily detected by weighing with a decent scale, as lead has a different density than silver.
However, the tungsten filled gold bars indicate a very sophisticated fraud. Not only is tungsten cheap, it has the SAME density as gold - 19.3 g/cc. Assuming the ends are sealed smoothly, you can touch and weigh the bars all you want, you can't be sure they are pure gold without cutting into them. Panic is likely to break out among professionals as the news of this fraud spreads. If you can't trust the "good delivery" bars what can you trust? These are supposed to have a guaranteed purity and then never leave the custody of trusted individuals so that investors don't have to assay them. Who knows what will be found as more large investors demand full audits?
It's amazing how lately so many gold stories back up GATA research. GATA has pointed out repeatedly that swapping, leasing, and paper games were necessary to keep the gold price down as the central banks didn't have the metal they claimed. Here is yet another instance of investors believing they hold X amount of bullion but in reality owning a mere fraction. It's a Ponzi scheme just like the Madoff scandal, and will end just as badly.

Dave from Denver... Some thoughts on Rob Kirby's GLD article. Someone on my blog asked me if I had any more info/insight on the Rob Kirby/GLD scandal. This was my response:
I don't know any specifics on that situation other than what Rob Kirby has reported.
I have exchanged emails with Rob about the delivery situation he reported last week. I know enough about how deliveries work and have experienced delays in silver from the Comex via HSBC to know that what he reported about the delivery situation with gold on the LME is most likely 100% authentic…
We also know that China has publicly announced that they are recalling ALL gold being safekept in London and other cities and moving it to Hong Kong. If there is a game of musical chairs being played with 400 oz. bullion bars, that may be related to the China situation.
There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that a massive trend of legal owners of physical bullion are seeking to take actual physical possession of the gold they own, or at least move it to a depository they can monitor.
Given the size of the "paper short" position vs. physical supply, I suspect we are on the cusp of seeing the massive shortage of physical vs. paper outstanding exposed, massive defaults on paper obligations, and a MASSIVE move higher in the price of gold.
I also suspect that China's announcement that they may default on oil derivatives a few weeks ago may be related to the risk they feel they are exposed to of the UK and US banks defaulting on gold/silver contracts….

In summary, we have learned that the Bank of England had three types of gold in its foreign depository:
1. London Good Delivery bars
2. Gold of Coin Melt (.90000 gold) received no doubt from Fort Knox
3. Gold bars filled with Tungsten and not .999 gold.(discovered by Chinese owners of gold at a foreign depository).

I can see gold auditors descending (on) both of our foreign depositories and I can assure you that French authorities are now descending into their vaults beneath the Seine River to conduct assays on every gold brick that they have received in trade with other nations…”

The Chinese ‘hosed’?
If the Chinese got "hosed" (is there any doubt?) there is no way they will be able to keep this from going both mainstream and worldwide. And it goes without saying that the Chinese have no sense of humour when it comes to theft - especially when it is their property.
Can you imagine what a mess this is. Every bar in the Chinese treasury will have to be tested. In fact every bar in every vault in the world will have to be tested. India? The Bank of England, among others, will never be trusted again. No wonder AU is hitting new highs.
And that is just the overture of this tragic opera. Wait until Boobus Americanus realizes that there is nothing but TUNGSTEN in the vaults at Fort Knox. Too funny!!!
Yes, and the fecal matter is about to hit the turbine blades and I have a feeling a lot of it is going to impact the organized crime families of London, and New York. You know, "dose are daboyz," who claim they are doing "God's work." Oh my God, I think I am going to be sick. (Want to bet the U.K., Canada, and Australia have also been emptied?)

THE MURDER OF BRITISH AUSTRALIA

Nick Bryant in “The Slow Death of British Australia” (The Australian Literary Review, November 2009) remarks in review that “The republican movement has failed to produce an irresistible and animating vision of a monarch-free Australia.” Such is the failure of the republican movement.

But not mentioned is the republican movements’ master weapon: immigration. Changing the ethnic, racial and demographic profile of the population is a guaranteed method of ultimately producing a monarch-free Australia. Just reduce British Australians to a minority and then to extinction. That is why opposing immigration and multiculturalism must be our key issue.

BIG NEWS: HUSBAND ALLOWED TO KEEP HIS FARM!

One of the most depressing things about the Lionel Murphy’s Fabian socialist Family Law Act 1973 (Cth), is the effect of property settlements on divorcing farmers. Bad times come, the marriage breaks down. The separated wife, perhaps living in the city with a new boyfriend, claims 50% or more of the property. A farm built up, perhaps over generations, has to then be sold up, usually at fire sale prices.

In Casper and Casper [2009] FamCA 989 (15 October 2009) family court Judge Stuart Fowler held that the husband “Mr Casper” (a pseudonym) could keep the family farm that his parents gave to him in trust. Mrs Casper did not oppose her ex-husband staying on the farm but: “If the husband is unable to pay for a reasonable property settlement without the sale of the property, then that is what must occur.”

As it turned out, the asset pool was divided 70-30 between husband and wife. Mr Casper had to pay $1.7 million to his ex-wife but he got to keep the family farm. The moral of the story is to be legally prepared. Young farmers need prenuptial agreements to protect their assets before marriage. And: if she really loves you, then she will sign. If not, look elsewhere young farmers.
And before I get a rap on the knuckles – no, I am not anti-women or anti-anything else. I am pro-saving Aussie farms.

THE COLOUR OF RAPE

On October 24, 2009 a 15 year old white American girl was gang-raped at Richmond High School, Richmond California, by a group of seven men and youths, all of them blacks and Hispanics (except for a 15 year old white boy who brought the girl to her homecoming dance) (Source: “View from the Right”).

The liberal press did what they usually do: say that race had nothing to do with it. But the more they say that, the more obvious the lie becomes to the non-brain dead. Statistically, white men rape few black or Hispanic women; black men rape a disproportionate number of white women every year.

Commenting on this, Lawrence Auster says: “the facts, stated plainly without cushions and buffers, would shatter the liberal mind.” But I don’t think so. Liberals swallow contradictions and refuting evidence effortlessly. They surf over contradictions because living with a corrupt philosophy, truth no longer matters. In short, the liberal no longer has a mind to shatter.

ASSIMILATE TO MUSLIM ASIA OR BE SUBJUGATED & PERISH

Is that a trick question? There’s some interesting reading in the latest edition of the online Taliban monthly magazine Al Sumad (Steadfastness). Australia must assimilate into a dominant Muslim Asia or be subjugated and forced to take Asians (The Australian, 6/11/09, p.1). Australia will become living space for Asia and they will take this country.

Don’t be shocked: APEC is already way ahead of the Taliban and APEC elites are pushing for a further liberalisation of migration laws to create an open borders world. Given demographics, this capitalist greed and blindness will lead to the sort of world that the Taliban describes – and one where capitalism, which depends upon liberal freedoms – will cease to be. So the APEC philosophy of a borderless world joins up with the philosophy of the Taliban.
