At the end of March this year, 84 prominent Australians gathered for good food at the Stonington Mansion in Melbourne to discuss the foundations of Western civilisation in Australia. There was a feeling that these foundations were being eroded. John Howard was the guest speaker. Howard said that the “Judaeo-Christian ethic” had the most profound cultural influence on Australia - but other “religions could be embraced and welcomed without in any way diminishing the Judaeo-Christian influence.”

There you have Australian conservatism in a nutshell. It recognises, in part, that there is a problem, but its solution is more of the problem. Thus Howard set in motion a massive Asian immigration program which Rudd is taking to its bitter conclusion. No, big business conservatism, represented by Howard, is only concerned with one thing – money – and that is their god. Tradition can be subjected at will to a slash and burn operation in the name of the economy.  

GOLDMAN AND SACHS ‘RATIONALISE’ FRAUD

Ronald J. Colombo, associate professor of corporate and securities law at Hofstra University School of Law has written on the sleazy methods used in the derivatives scam by Goldman and Sachs, for which they are now being hauled before the Senate and the courts in the US. The professor wrote: “This month’s announcement of the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC)’s securities-fraud civil suit against Goldman Sachs is a perfect example of what ails our society today – and why attempted regulatory fixes are in many ways analogous to rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic. As Goldman Sachs representatives defend the firm at a Senate hearing today, the pertinent facts are largely uncontested.

Goldman Sachs helped the Paulson & Co. hedge fund, create and sell mortgage-based collateralized debt obligations (CDOs) that were designed to fail. This was done for the purpose of giving Paulson & Co. something perfect to bet against (via the purchase of credit default swaps). Being the full-service firm that it is, Goldman then helped sell these designed-to-fail CDOs to its very own clients…”

Has Goldman committed securities fraud? It is not ‘clear’
“Has Goldman committed securities fraud? Perhaps surprisingly, it’s not altogether clear. Securities law experts are split on the question. Goldman has not been accused of lying to anyone. Instead, the SEC is arguing that Goldman violated the law by omitting a material piece of information in its marketing of these securities: namely, that they were designed by another Goldman client (Paulson & Co.) for the specific purpose of losing value. Goldman counters by noting that it disclosed all of the securities ’ fundamentals, and that the investors purchasing these securities were just as capable of assessing their value and projected trajectory as was Paulson & Co.

“Goldman’s argument, under existing US securities regulation, is not a frivolous one. But although Goldman’s behaviour might be permissible under US securities law, it is most certainly impermissible under traditional notions of right and wrong. All the disclosure in the world does not absolve someone of the basic moral precept to do unto others as one would have others do unto you.
It’s simply morally wrong to sell someone – especially one’s own clients! – junk specifically designed to fail, regardless of how many warning labels are attached. A degree in moral philosophy is not needed to see that.

Today, however, a degree in modern moral philosophy might actually get in the way of seeing that. For we live in an age marked by an unprecedented lack of consensus over what “morally wrong” even means. Indeed, one of the few vices recognized nowadays is that of being “judgmental,” and perhaps it was this vice that Goldman sought to avoid when it refused to characterize Paulson & Co.’s plans as morally wrongful. Instead, Goldman probably rationalized the proposed course of conduct as a legitimate business strategy within the confines of the law.

Until we regain the ability and courage to make (and act upon) these basic distinctions between right and wrong (rather than merely between “lawful” and “unlawful”), we will remain woefully vulnerable to fraud such as this. Just in from Reporternotebook: The Levin Senate Investigations Sub-Committee interrogation of Blankfein was a cunning distraction from the disastrous financial "reform" bill being discussed in the Banking Committee, and intended to undercut filibuster efforts against Stiglitz-Summers reforms. Last night the filibuster collapsed. Blankfein took softball questions in one place so the Money Power upgrade designed by Stiglitz could be passed by Democrat supremacy over the Midwest and Southern Republicans who tried to stop it.
(Is this saying not all of the Republican leadership are mere pawns moved by the unseen hand of the Money Power interests? Hmmm....)

“Fannie Mae owns patent on residential 'cap and trade' exchange": -

When he wasn't busy helping create a $127 billion mess for taxpayers to clean up, former Fannie Mae Chief Executive Officer Franklin Raines, two of his top underlings and select individuals in the "green" movement were inventing a patented system to trade residential carbon credits.

Patent No. 6904336 was approved by the U.S. Patent and Trade Office on Nov. 7, 2006 -- the day after Democrats took control of Congress. Former Sen. John Sununu, R-N.H., criticized the award at the time, pointing out that it had "nothing to do with Fannie Mae's charter, nothing to do with making mortgages more affordable."

It wasn't about mortgages. It was about greenbacks. The patent, which Fannie Mae confirmed it still owns with Cantor Fitzgerald subsidiary CO2e.com, gives the mortgage giant a lock on the fledgling carbon trading market, thus also giving it a major financial stake in the success of cap-and-trade legislation.

Besides Raines, the other "inventors" are:-
* Former Fannie Vice President and Deputy General Counsel G. Scott Lesmes, who provided legal advice on Fannie Mae's debt and equity offerings;
* Former Fannie Vice President Robert Sahadi, who now runs GreenSpace Investment Financial Services out of his 5,002-square-foot Clarksburg home;
* 2008 Barack Obama fundraiser Kenneth Berlin, an environmental law partner at Skadden Arps;
* Michelle Desiderio, director of the National Green Building Certification program, which trains "green" monitors;
* Former Cantor Fitzgerald employee Elizabeth Arner Cavey, wife of Democratic donor Brian Cavey of the Stanton Park Group, which received $200,000 last year to lobby on climate change legislation; and
* Jane Bartels, widow of former CO2e.com CEO Carlton Bartels. Three weeks before Carlton Bartels was killed in the Sept. 11 attacks, he filed for another patent on the software used in 2003 to set up the Chicago Climate Exchange.

Just like the toxic portfolios of subprime mortgages
The patent, which covers both the "cap" and "trade" parts of Obama's top domestic energy initiation, gives Fannie Mae proprietary control over an automated trading system that pools and sells credits for hard-to-quantify residential carbon reduction efforts (such as solar panels and high-efficiency appliances) to companies and utilities that don't meet emission reduction targets. Depending on where the Environmental Protection Agency sets arbitrary CO2 standards, that could be every company in America. (And Australia!...ed)
The patent summary describes how carbon "and other pollutants yet to be determined" would be "combined into a single emissions pool" and traded -- just as Fannie's toxic portfolio of subprime mortgages were.

Yet another government-mandated trillion-dollar Ponzi scheme
"Fannie Mae earns no money on this patent," communications director Amy Bonitatibus told the Washington Examiner. "We can't conjecture as to the cap-and-trade legislation." But passage of the legislation would create an artificial, government-mandated, trillion-dollar carbon trading market that would drive up the price of energy, indirectly making housing more expensive. If the proprietary emissions trading system functions like other exchanges such as the New York Stock Exchange, which makes most of its revenue on listing and trading fees, its owners could see extremely generous profits, especially with a patent that keeps out competition for two decades.
So Fannie Mae, a quasi-governmental entity whose congressionally mandated mission is to make housing more affordable, has been a behind-the-scenes participant in a carbon trading scheme that would do just the opposite.

Ninety per cent of EU’s carbon-trading fraudulent
In January, Europol announced that up to 90 percent of the volume in the European Union's own carbon-trading market was fraudulent, costing EU members $5 billion during the previous 18 months. That would be just the tip of the iceberg if the Congress were to make a similar mistake. But if it does, thanks to Raines and his fellow "inventors," Fannie Mae will be laughing all the way to the (bailed-out) bank.”

Comment: Australians would do well to examine carefully what is going on in the background of politics and big business. It is not just the ‘pharmas’ that are ‘cosying up’ to governments. Labor was not the only political party pushing for an Emissions Trading Scheme. When your next electricity, gas and/or water bill comes in, take note of how you are commended for ‘saving’ energy. You are being set up – as are the Americans and other nations – and conditioned to accept the same type of yet another Ponzi scheme as are the Americans.

WE ARE ALL RAISED ON PROPAGANDA

Americans (and Australians) are raised on propaganda, and even those working in corporate media are unaware that many of the terms they use daily are propaganda terms. As an example - Campaign Financing: Campaign financing is a euphemism for "bribe," but modern dictionaries no longer permit this usage. To pull this off, our ruling corporations changed the dictionaries, since it would not do to describe their renting of our elections as bribery.
Thankfully for them, they control the major publishing houses, the government, the mass media, and, it would appear, the language itself. To check this out, find an old dictionary.

The Random House College Dictionary First Edition, for example, defined "bribe" as "Anything given or serving to persuade or induce". But new dictionaries make it clear that only illegal gifts are bribes, so that campaign financing, being legal in that those in power make it legal, is not a bribe… It pays to rent the laws of the land to the highest bidder--gives your party a leg up on being re-elected.

SEND ‘EM TO THE MINES!

The Mad Monk’s solution to youth unemployment. Tony Abbott aka “The Mad Monk” has recently shown that he well deserves his nickname. Yes, no more dole for the under 30’s he told mining elites. They will be shipped to the mines to work! And the next day after this story the Coalition tested the waters with a plan to end dole payments to anyone who refuses to move to a location where their skills are needed. So much for family – just tear up your life and be shifted to serve the mechanisms of capitalism.

Abbott, Howard et.al. are not conservatives. Their policies of economic reductionism destroy traditional values and traditional structures. Rather, they are economic nihilists who see no value beyond global financial capitalism. How can Abbott square his economics with his Catholicism? He can’t.  

CHINA’S DRIVE TO CONTROL THE PLANET

China has begun its drive to control the resources of the planet. The Chinese are already looking to mine the Antarctic – no environment or aesthetic concerns there! (The Australian, 1/12/2010, p.9) Then if you can believe resource depletion theorists, it is claimed that the West is about to run out of rare earth metals by 2012. These metals are used in military and high technology. But China has plenty, in fact 97% of the world’s supply comes from China and China is threatening to stop exporting these metals to the rest of the world by 2012 (The Independent, 2/1/2010). The West can open mines in other countries, but that will take 5-10 years.

In the meantime the Chinese will hold Western Civilisation to ransom. Our side of politics hates resource-limits stories because we associate them with the left, the UN and other nasties. I believe that we need to keep an open, scientific mind about such matters. If these disasters occur we don’t want to be discredited. But come to think of it, if the rare earth bubble pops, much of our world will pop with it.  

IS THERE A POLITICALLY CORRECT DIET?

As I slowly decline with age and the coming diseases of civilisation, I have taken a mild interest in health, as an intellectual exercise. I am impressed by the arguments of Dr Mary Enig and Sally Fallon (“The Truth about Saturated Fats”, https://www.health-report.co.uk) which disputes the idea that it is saturated fats e.g., dairy and meat, leading to the epidemic of heart disease, diabetes and other nasties in the West.
They point out that people in our culture ate more of these so-called killer fats in the past and had less of these diseases. A vast number of non-Western cultures did very well on diets with levels of saturated fats enough to alarm Western medicine.

I have no health qualifications and I suppose, like most of our gentle readers, don’t know the biochem of fats – but I wonder – is this another example of big business advancing its own agenda? Is the modern high carbohydrate diet a politically correct diet?  

AGAINST THE DOCTORS

I am a man generally ignorant about health matters. Ignorant and also frustrated by mainstream medicine. In my quest for knowledge and enlightenment I have begun reading entries by alternative medicine and health theorists. Here I almost certainly know less than most of our readers, especially country folk who take in clean air, good food and clean living.

It seems that US President George Washington was killed by his doctors. He, at the age of 68 years, and in otherwise good health, developed a sore throat which lead to a swollen epiglottis, this being the flap that covers the windpipe when swallowing. Even in his day, surgeons could have cut a small hole in the windpipe and all should have been well. But the best educated doctors of his day decided to bleed him, which depleted even further oxygen to his body – and poor George died.

The site www.naturalnews.com, run by a very healthy looking athletic man, Mike Adams, seems to be developing an alternative critique of modern medicine, or as Adams calls it “the sick-care industry”. In a nutshell, if mainstream medicine really works, then why are people so unhealthy? Why do some drug companies commit scientific fraud and fake clinical trials?
According to Adams: “pushing mainstrean medicine on to more people will only cause more sickness, more suffering and more bankruptcies across American households.” If Adams and others are right, perhaps we need to take more personal control over our own health. Meditate before we medicate.  

GOVERNMENT ‘TOO COSY WITH FLU VACCINE MAKER’

The ABC’s Brigid Andersen offers the public the following news: “Jodi Hahn says the Government needs to set up a national reporting body to report cases of adverse reactions to vaccines among children. The Federal Government has been accused of making flawed decisions because of its overly "cosy" relationship with flu vaccine manufacturer CSL… Five weeks ago Jodi Hahn's two-year-old son Jonah was rushed by ambulance to the Royal Brisbane Children's Hospital with convulsions and a high fever. He had been given the children's swine flu vaccination less than 12 hours earlier.

Ms Hahn is now calling for a national register to report cases of adverse reactions to vaccines among children. Ms Hahn says the hospital initially dismissed concerns her son's reaction was linked to the swine flu vaccine. It was not until five weeks later, after speaking with the ABC, that Ms Hahn was contacted by the hospital to say that they would formally record Jonah's reaction as an adverse reaction to the swine flu vaccine. Ms Hahn says at the time, she thought her son was dying.

“…Health officials are investigating the death of a two-year-old Brisbane girl and more than 250 reports of adverse reactions among children who have received the seasonal flu vaccine, and Australia's chief medical officer has issued a warning to doctors to stop using the CSL shots on the under-fives.
Now the vaccine manufacturer is facing claims it has undue influence over the Federal Government and that this "close relationship" has blocked the rollout and funding of more advanced flu vaccines on the Australian market…”

Where have these ‘investigators’ been for the last few years? Anyone remotely interested in questions of ‘health and wholeness’ have read time and time again of these ‘cosy relationships’ between pharmaceutical companies and governments. And the ‘cosy’ relationships don’t stop with the ‘pharmas’ but extend into all spheres of big business.

DON’T MESS WITH MUSLIMS: ‘SOUTH PARK’ LEARNS

The story goes like this: a liberal, Western academic/artist decides that it will serve the interests of free speech by saying “hard things” about Muslims. Radical Muslims, insulted by a perceived vilification of Muhammad respond with violence or threats of violence. White conservatives, who are usually champions of mass immigration, lament about the loss of free speech, without of course ever addressing the root cause of the problem: immigration.
Thus, recently, the South Park TV show creators have received death threats after depicting Muhammad on the show, disguised in a bear suit. Should we be surprised?

South Park, along with other anti-traditional family value shows, such as The Simpsons, Family Guy and American Dad is hardly a show deserving support and protection by defenders of freedom. It is generally a post-modern attack on the values held by genuine conservatives. Consequently these “funny guys” have reaped what they have sown.
Of course from a liberal perspective it is outrageous that a group of people would want to kill someone for comments made in a cartoon – but this is the post-white, post-western world now, and the rule book has changed.

Just in: Website claims “Radical Muslim group run by Israeli Jews!” The radical "Muslim" group that threatened South Park creators was founded and run by Joseph Cohen, a former Israeli radical who used to live in a settlement in the West Bank. Fundamentalist Jews who pretend to be Radical Muslims, a growing problem...

CENTRALISTS ON A RAMPAGE

Beware of the survey! A recent article (“Support on the Rise to Abolish State Governments”, The Australian, April 10-11, 2010, p.1) states that four in 10 voters want the abolition of State governments because this level of government is seen as the least efficient form of government. This allegedly constitutes a “crisis of confidence in state governments”.

Be that as it may, I would be interested in survey work investigating the efficiency of the federal government – what about its suicidal immigration program that is wrecking Australia as we know it? Maybe we need new questions.  

SUPPRESSING FREE SPEECH IN WESTERN AUSTRALIA

We have said here that the ruling elites will not rest until all of our freedoms are gone and we have become mute slaves. Laws are coming in Western Australia, by the Liberals, to ban “racist” bumper stickers such as “Asians Out” (The Australian, 7/4/2010, p.3).
The sentiment is crude but a legitimate one that opposes the real racist policy of Asianisation, the racial swamping of traditional Australia. These sorts of laws are a symbol of the power of the new class and should be opposed as a matter of principle. The laws are planned to be introduced this year so there is time for a good campaign.

You would think the news that former PM Tony Blair was only a hair’s breadth away from being indicted on war crimes would be big, very big, news in the UK – wouldn’t you? Instead of which, so far, there is nothing but a ‘deafening silence’ on the part of the British media.

The headlines of Prof. Michel Chossudovsky’s article read:
“Tony Blair, Very Close to being Indicted for War Crimes”: Tony Blair's visit to Malaysia has passed virtually unnoticed in the United Kingdom. In fact, outside of Malaysia, the issue has not received press coverage.
A War Crimes Tribunal - as well as a War Crimes Commission - was set up integrated by renowned jurists. Documentary evidence of war crimes committed by Blair and Bush have been carefully compiled and collected since 2006.

The prosecution is led by several of Malaysia's most prominent lawyers. Dr Mahathir in a public statement "expressed disgust at the companies that had sponsored Blair's visit here. As long as World Zionism holds the savage reigns of its copycat creed of greed mystique (emboldened by "the terrible power of our purse" as Herzl bragged), it will trot out plausible, false reasons for whipping gullible, sulliable gentiles into performing its proxy war-mongering Torah/Talmudic bidding.
